The title レムルローズの魔女 has a Japanese wikipedia page with a similar synopsis but also character names and shallow descriptions. The main girl アンダルシア (Andalusia) has even been cosplayed by some people. The first volume is being sold second hand on some sites, though there seems to be no English translation :'( . Unfortunate since the art looks quite pretty too~

Hey! The title is Aka no Tsuki ni Utau Majo in romaji or "The Witch Singing Under a Crimson Moon" in English or something along those lines. As far as I know it's just one song in an album, Rem Le Rose no Majo or the Witch of Rem Le Rose. I hope that helped! (^^)ノシ
True, there is no genre classed as Gothic, as the subculture has many angles from which you can approach, Romantic, Steampunk etc... If one spoke of Gothic music it would bring confusion seeing that the variety in the Gothic subculture is vast; hence the non-use of Gothic as a name for a precise genre (from Deathrock to Aggrotech, there's for most likings if not all.).
As in my words above, Gothic represents an ensemble of things, Paintings, Music (of all kind), Styles, Tastes, Ideologies, etc... This ensemble is obviously prone to Dark things, emotions and many else while, still, remaining exquisite, refined. (As there are many ways to exploit the dark side of things, a barbarous psycho who would kill people savagedly wouldnt really fit in "Gothic Darkness" per se as it would lack any form of Deep Thinking, it would lack a "philosophic", if i may say, touch. There would not be any emotions to exploit into a pure creation, as, for example, a Lover who slowly but surely kills himself for his beloved (add many more details as this is just a context setting) would have more potential... Gothic, or simply "Goth", as it has been cut for distinguity between the Subculture and its creations; I think that all of this describes well why i would agree to the labelling of Gothic over inventions of all. It though would require for one to think over said inventions in search of what makes it "Gothic" (per se.).
