Right? People are going off in the comments but I’m thinking “huh, this family is way better than some other families TLC has featured” Like the dad getting a pedicure with her and bringing her balloons to celebrate her first glitz pageant is so wholesome??
I think it's because she was in natural pageants for so long before this episode. There's a whole different vibe to natural pageants, they tend to be more sportsmanlike.
At least this mother is actually happy for her kid unlike some of the other moms on this show, and Bayleigh seems like a nice kid. This is probably one of the only episodes where a mom is happy even though their kid didn't get grand supreme
these parents seem so sweet and supportive i dont even think they agree that glitz pagents are good but they still support their kids dreams and its very sweet
I agree that glitz pageants are awful and should be banned, but at least the mom recognizes that Bailey is being told that she is beautiful after putting on all the add ons, hopefully she will help build her self esteem and tell her she is still beautiful without all the makeup and everything. Like in the world of pageants, the mom and Bailey actually seemed pretty nice and normal
"Beauty is pain" Then I guess I'm ugly because I would never do anything painful to get beautiful. I think this is a from om child abuse and should be illegal!
Instead of beauty pageants, we should see more smart contests and STEM competitions of all ages and genders. The beauty community/world is toxic and mentally unhealthy.
@@billie-jv5ll waste of time, makes kids focus on their image which they have no control over, rather than developing new skills for better life prospective
Yeah because that wont hurt other childrens self esteem if they arent smart enough to win and don't think parents wont act the same way these mothers do.
Only 20 seconds in and her reason got finding beauty pageants appealing is because of money and savings bonds not the fact that she’s spending time with her daughter and bonding with her
I like this mom because she is sceptical about some of the stuff and doesn’t always agree with it. I also like how even though bayleigh didn’t win she’s still happy and showing her daughter that she’s proud of her
Why is this legal? comparing little girls' beauties with other girls making some feel terrible and some feel superior because of their looks at such a YOUNG age wtf... spelling quizzes and stem competitions at least give everyone an equal chance of winning and its about your intelligence rather than superficial things like looks
Why This white Kid wants to spray tan on her skin to Look pretty???? This Baby Is just absolutely Gorgeous in Her Angelic White Skin...Tan Doesn't look Good On Her... ❤
Are these moms living their lives through their kids? “It hurts to be beautiful”? So when the kid winces or grimaces because something is painful or uncomfortable…does mommy refuse the work being done or just throw that little saying up? Pathetic parents.
When my dad got to come to watch one of my cheer competitions finally he accidentally videotaped the wrong girl during the whole routine and it was my first time tumbling. I will say this, we did look a lot alike. Happy Father’s Day Daddy 😂❤❤
Teach girls to focus on their education not their looks and why are you all acting like this is a good family. Mum just admitted she doing this horrible sexualising pageant because the prize is more money. She literally tells her kid it hurts to be beautiful. She admits she doesn’t like the idea of the spray tans and the makeup and yet she does it anyway. How screwed up is that. And putting kids in swimsuits so adults can judge their body. Omg how is this not illegal
This absolute abuse ur taking ur child's childhood away ruining her lovely little pores with Crap ur a bad mother I hope you know that kids should be happy n able explore get mucky play with friends not be paraded like cattle n judged
I think that such parents are toxic, and they are trying to live their dreams through the kids, which is so wrong in every way. The kid is another person, another individuality. Childhood is not only a word, but a really important stage from one person's life. Also I was in such things, but I loved modeling and when I was a kid,the jury was interested in only your face, not your tanned and waxed face. I didn't stop love modeling, but I am not doing it anymore, unfortunately, but I see how big trauma this could cost.
OK, I actually like glitz patterns but I don’t believe that they should be doing them on little kids feel like they should be or doing normal pageants but like no bathing suit and stuff like that
Thank God my daughter is native American and has a natural tan, long eyelashes and nice soft hair not nappy like mine. Pageants cost a hell of a lot and we just started
I grew up in a completely white neighborhood being the only POC in my elementary school and the darkest in my school (which is insane because I’m not very dark at all) and I always wanted to be lighter, I was completely self conscious of my skin colour. I’m in love with my tanned skin now, but it seems like so is everybody else. Now it’s “the thing” to be tanned, and I’m like damn I feel lucky I got a natural one🤣
In my opinion these pageants are toxic. They teach children at a super young age that they are not beautiful without makeup or a spray tan, that mindset can mess kids up. Some of these parents only care about how much money they win not how their own kid feels about pageants
at least Bailey isn't a brat honestly
She seems quite nice

I feel like these moms try to live vicariously through their daughter. It’s disturbing.
You hit the nail on the head. That is exactly what this show is about
Yea but that can be said about sports academics art 🖼️ popularity etc not only looks/pagents

They spend more than they ever receive. It's just so stupid. Such a waste of money.

It's viewed as common as muck in the UK, quite rightly.

It’s just wrong man. Just totally wrong. Let her play, get muddy nails, fall in mud:….. all the things kids should do!
oh my god that poor child! her parents should be ashamed of themselves

I think she looked great before, after looked too orange! Can't complain though, she is just stunning as it is, didn't need to sway judges votes!
Why do they do this to little girls? I feel like even grown ups shouldn’t even go through this, let alone kids. Just let people be themselves!
Discusting; how about saving for college instead.
Why? All this little girl learns that all is about looking good - not being smart or only herself…
Poor child….

Kragen seems a bit rude but at least she was grateful for what she got
And ofc Eden wins she's literally the FACE of pageantry
