I just ordered this same kit. I’m hopeful it gives it just a little more tone that can be heard inside and outside. I didn’t want to go through the hassle of installing a high flow downpipe and an intercooler. The scene more cost-effective.
It does make the exhaust sound much more sporty inside and outside. I also recommend unplugging the connector on the drivers side tail pipe valve, that allows both sides of the exhaust to always be open which adds even more sound. I bought a resistor thing on eBay that you plug the connector into so the car doesn’t throw a code. The code supposedly doesn’t hurt anything but the kit was cheap so I figured why not. Plus it makes it where no dirt or anything can get into the plug in case you want to put it back to stock later.
@@haydenbriggs There is a little around 80 MPH in 8th gear, can't remember what RPM that corresponds with, it's a deep sound, not terrible but it is definitely audible.
@@haydenbriggs It gets a little more quiet when the valve is closed, but it's still there with it open or closed. I don't even know if i'd consider the sound a drone, it's more just being able to hear the exhaust tone more. I have the IE exhaust now, and it has a bad drone around 2500-2800 RPM that is annoying. I am considering going back to the Stock exhaust with X pipe setup because of it.
Yeah there is a little bit when I’m on the highway in 8th around 80 MPH cruising. It’s not terrible but it is there. I can’t remember what RPM range that is off hand, it’s a deep sound so I think it’s fairly low.
Sounds great!

@@sixajd thanks! I hope to install this week.
@@sixajdhey what’s the exact name of the resister?
@@anthonycaitan1225 I got it on eBay, search for “Audi B9 SQ5 Exhaust Valve Delete Simulator Plug with Valve Protective Plug”
Is this just the X-pipe or do you have other mods done to the exhaust, besides the valve being permanently open?
It was just the X pipe and the valve open. Everything else is stock including the downpipe / cat.
@sixajd How's the drone @ hwy speeds??

@@sixajd Is that in comfort mode/ valve closed?
