We Found a Buried Mini Bike and Slammed It

- Ike found this 1960s mini bike abandoned in his junkyard, most likely placed there by his grandfather. This mini bike was so badly rusted away that we didn't mind cutting it up and turning it into a slammed mini bike! Is this the first ever low rider mini bike? We don't exactly restore this mini bike, but we install a Briggs and Stratton 5hp engine, brand new staggered wheels and tires for an awesome stance, and a new comfortable seat. This low rider mini bike isn't fast or easy to ride, but it sure looks cool!

it'd be really cool for you to make another frame copying this one, i love its lines and shape.... but with fresh metal you could use thicker wall tube on the back so it would hold the single side mount, and brace it with some fancy plasma cut parts... then sand it back and clean it up and just leave it in the pond for a few days to get the rusty swamp look. nice one guys

I was thinking something I haven't seen anyone do yet is re-create and old frame \ mini bike from scratch. This frame would be so cool to build new.
That's the jankiest, rustiest, sketchiest pile of gazorp I've ever seen, and I couldn't be more in love with it. Seriously! I REALLY love the single mount axle in the rear, and the Motovox sprocket cut out to show off that gorgeous Astro wheel was pure genius. I have always wanted those wheels to retrofit onto my DB30, but there's a brake disc on one side and the solid sprocket on the other. Gave me some great ideas!! This is another killer rat rod build.....well done, gentlemen....well done!
Would love to see you guys use this frame as a template and make your very own cars and cameras frame with go Powersports! This frame is so unique and cool!

Exhaust idea: Use the frame as the exhaust and have it vent through all the rust holes 😂.

Lengthen the frame so you can lower the wheel brace and bring it forward to get more clearance for the rear and extend the forks.
I have to say ... this is probably my favorite build since the original Rat Rod Wagon from 6 years ago!
A few gussets on the rear tire support its ready for cruising flea markets and swap meets!

@@donaldfuller5041 Because its interesting. Why make a 3 engine bike? Because its interesting. Snowmobile on wheels? Its interesting. 4 engine go-kart? Interesting. The real interesting bit of a rear-steer bike is how you'd likely have to lean forward to stay stable, like how leaning forward on a normal bike makes the steering more twitchy
@@donaldfuller5041 same reason they made the 2wd bike or the awd+4 engine go-kart. Because they want a challenge!
Stability would be non existent over a couple mph. When you lean a bike into a turn the steering doesn't do what you think it does. After the intial lean balancing the bike with rear steering would throw you on the ground as it would turn the opposite direction.
Man it turned out great that sprocket idea was awesome. I had my doubts at first wit how rough that ring was but it looks awesome.

Where'd Charles come from? IIRC he joined the channel later on at some point. I wish we had some background on him. (And all the guys really). Like what they did or do for real jobs or what trades they may have been trained in or schooling.

@@joshuagibson2520 ike was a mechanic for years in a local shop when John met , he not long ago quit . John I believe was still living at home ( family is wealthy) till they got big on UA-cam. Charles was a Friend that lived few hours away ???? Recently joined in the last two years

You guys need a tube bender type sponsor- that low rider frame you used (no, I have never seen anything like it- the front forks, with a spring above and below the frame head from the late '50s), well, it was bent and built using some pretty crude by our standards pipe benders. And bring that propeller era design into the jet age- raise the foot pegs to increase ground clearance in turns, run the bottom loop at an angle, rising to the rear to get a stronger axle and for wheelie clearance! You guys wrote the drill, time for the big tattoo! FR

Awesome! More my speed for sure. Thats pretty much exactly how I built a single sided wheel mount too. I recommend adding a little triangulation on that upright though, or tie it into the frame above. This thing would be AWESOME for bombing around car shows and flea markets

man I haven't seen Isaac that happy in a while grinning ear to ear. the bike came out pretty cool for as Rusty as it is it's amazing what a few parts and Imagination does. Charles you got me rolling with that rust is lighter than carbon fiber💀💀💀🤣
Heritage is a great thing to honor and respect. This very unique frame combined with Ike's cantilevered axle and rim mounted sprocket give the perfect mix of generations on this bike. It is so cool I would like to see you find someone who can bend heavy wall tubing in those tight bends and make a *new frame* with some tiny mods like moving the lower oval back an inch, shorten the axle riser 1 inch, raise the pegs forward and up, and build a new cantilevered fork/bars set with both springs below the headset. Honor and respect.
This is my absolute favorite channel to watch thank you so much for what you do, it inspired me to buy a project go kart/dune buggy of my own.
That's a really cool minibike rebuild and would be cool to copy on a different frame.
I'm a fair bit older than you guys, I remember Mechanics Illustrated doing a couple of mini bike shootout in the mid 60s and I think this was one of the bikes.
The shootouts were you assemble kits and knock down you weld kits.
Back in the day there were a number of companies that did knock down bike kits. The kits had all the tubes bent and fish-mouthed ready to be welded together. The one thing that was welded were the front forks on most of the kits. Ahh back when they had school shop classes!
I'm at 11 mins in and I'm thinking "When are these guys going to realize they could make a replica/clone of it easier then fixing the original." And then they build a sweet rat rod mini bike, That's Cars And Cameras for ya. Great job guys.

I think the rim flange mounted sprocket idea is AWESOME idea, but could use an extra set of bolts to secure it. Maybe talk with Go Power Sports about designing one like this for production?
i also think the single sided axle would look even cooler with a piece of 90deg pipe welded to the frame pointing up like a pyramid, with the axle coming out the side of the peak.

I wish I still had my big brother's old minibike frame. He had a Rupp Roadster II. It was a street legal minibike from the 60s based on their "Black Widow" offroad model. It had "big" spoked wheels, front/rear suspension, front/rear drum brakes, headlight/taillight, and a little Tecumseh motor (I think it was 3hp) with a genuine Comet Torq-a-verter. We could get a running start and get air off a hill riding double! Rupp minibikes is good shape are VERY pricey, but you get a basket case Black Widow, and fix it up with modern OHV motor, torque converter, brakes, suspension, etc, and that would be WILD fun!

Looks like it had a two-cycle chainsaw engine attached to it maybe the whole across the top where the bar or the Crescent shaped one went for an idler

Y’all need to build a slammed and stretched ruckus with a gy6 long case. Mine I had was about 2” off the ground and had a 14” stretch. Super fun and I would fun about 70 on the hughway
