@@johnnyjohnny2650 you're saying you'd rather sit in your home and listen to the normal version with some janky ass earphones on than being here experiencing this lol...?
The shows are extraordinary, I saw them in Manchester in 1988 and 2 of the Earls Court shows, I'd put Floyd and Rush at the top for stage and light shows.
This concert was performed 28 years ago in 1994 (not 2019, which was the remastered date). Their 1994 light show looks like something that would be futuristic by today’s standards.
I saw this tour at the Silverdome in Michigan. They played the entire album they had just released, then every song from Dark Side of the Moon, and almost every song from the Wall, and every other song they were remotely known for. Like 4 hours of just them it was 9ne of the most amaz8ngvth8ngs I ever saw. Tied with seeing Thriller tour at the Silverdome in the 80s as a kid for best concert I went to. So amazing.
@@AndICanTalk2 I think the only songs they played from the wall was Comfortably Numb, Run like hell, Young Lust and Another brick in the Wall. Those were the songs on that album that David Gilmour had the most input into and he wouldn't play any of the songs that Rodger Waters solely wrote.
@Neil Lenet odd, I remember hearing a number of them at the performance I was at, but it was a long time ago. Also that was the tour Roger Waters joined them, so I thought I remember them playing more. Either way fantastic band.
This was the encore. Comfortably Numb was the closing number. When you see comfortably numb you wonder what could they possibly do for an encore? Then they smack you with this. Amazing!
They put on Amazing concerts. You would not beleive how big these shows were. I saw both at yankee stadium in 94. Took a Limo to the show. Then stayed on the Hilton. In 6th Avenue of the America's.. we were polluted. Lol 😆

The greatest live band EVER. I feel immensely privileged to have seen the Pulse Concert (not this recording but another night in the same week) and also The Wall in 1980 at the same venue. The innovation, the sound, the lighting of their concerts have really never been surpassed. Attention to detail was key. For example the venue, Earls Court, acoustics were not that good (too much echo) but the Floyd concerts would hang huge banners from the ceiling (banners with symbols designed to match the concerts themes) to absorb the sound which helped the sound crews hugely to get the balance right.
Vid is called "Pulse", from the "Division Bell" tour (last major tour they did) of 1994 according to my ticket stub...This song was the last song, the encore.

I mentioned this show in 94 at Oakland at the same time she said it was her favorite, too. Neither of us had any idea the other had been there. We were both shocked - "I WAS THERE!"
I was also at this concert at Oakland Colosseum. BEST CONCERT EVER! Those lasers and lights hitting the fog that rolled in over the stadium half way through was intense!
I just want to say Pink Anderson and Floyd Council. That’s the 2 guys the name came from. Look them up and react to their music. They are the inspiration that started the bands name.
Wow wow wow floyd at their most electrifying what a fabulous concert in the day the lyrics the music the lights and after all that to try and blow up the building what more do you want floyd deliver every time incredible love your reaction more please
When I saw them, there was a rocket up in the back of the arena up in the rafters. At the end, the rocket launched and went through a screen on the stage, the explosion. Live, you don't watch Pink Floyd, you experience them. That paper or cardboard rocket looked so real...
This is one of my favorite concerts. Pulse was recorded in 1994 (but remastered in 2019). Amazing what they could do with the light show back then. Pink Floyd was known for its spectacular laser light shows, in addition to its amazing musicianship. For a future live concert reaction, I suggest the song 'Sorrow' from this same show (Pink Floyd Pulse tour). Also, Pink Floyd as a band is retired and no longer performs, but I did see the lead guitarist/singer (David Gilmour) perform a solo tour in 2016, and he did a lot of classic Pink Floyd songs. Original bass player and songwriter Roger Waters also tours solo, as does drummer Nick Mason as 'Saucerful of Secrets').
I've been to hundreds of concerts in my life and Pink Floyd is still the best show ever, by FAR. I saw the same tour in 94 at RFK Stadium in DC. Just phenomenal.

Check out "High Hopes",, It has a great message about the nostalgia of growing older, and Gilmour plays an acoustic guitar and lap steel guitar. Incredible!
This show was one of many exactly like it as part of the world-wide "Division Bell" tour - the last tour Pink Floyd played. Fortunately, I caught one of them - it was as spectacular as the youtube videos! This song - "Time" - was the second and final encore song, played after "Hey You".
Asia and BJ, you should get online and search up-coming concerts that will be performed in your city this summer, pick a band, and set a date, and GO ! These old classic bands are getting older ( approaching their 70's) and dying, soon to be gone forever. Go experience a real Live concert setting and make a video of it.
fun fact: Guy Pratt would change the "send you back to London in a cardboard box" line throughout the tour, to whichever city they were playing in. So if for example they were playing in Oslo, Norway, he would sing "send you back to Oslo in a cardboard box". Not super interesting I guess, but there you go :p
This is still to this day the best concert Ive ever seen. Seen these guys twice as a band. Roger, Nick, and David over a dozen times solo. Echoes from Live at Gdansk, was amazing. Marc Brickman the production and lighting designer is the absolute best. Unfortunately there will likely never be anything like this again.
This concert is from 1994. Original bassist Roger Waters had left the band many years prior to that. Pink Floyd hasn't toured since then, and keyboardist Rick Wright passed away in 2008. Nowadays, the closest thing to experiencing their music IMHO is tribute band Brit Floyd - have seen them 3 times and going a 4th this summer - highly recommend. BJ and Asia - they are scheduled to play in Grand Prairie in June, check out their website for more info, I believe you would absolutely be blown away.
This concert was October 1994 at Earl's Court London, unbelievably 28 years ago. This remastered version was put out in 2019. Still the best concert EVER, ANYWHERE, by ANYBODY
I was about 10 rows from the stage for the Pulse concert. I also saw the Division Bell concert twice and Roger Walters' solo concerts 3 times. By far the best concerts I've seen, even though they were with my ex.
The Division Bell concert was Pulse. There was not 2. It is only called Pulse now because it was the name of the live album of the Division Bell tour. So I think you're imagining an extra concert. Saw the Division Bell tour in Dallas at the now gone Texas Stadium in 1994. It was one of those life changing events that I can't believe i was there for!!!!
@@jdlimages You are right, it was Momentary Lapse of Reason, when they were newly reunited and played in Toronto in the fall of 1987 and came back around again in the spring of 1988.
To see Pink Floyd live in concert is mind blowing to say the least ! When the show's over and the lights come up you're left dazed ! You need at least 15 minutes to get your bearings ! Last time I saw them they played for 3 hours nonstop , And my seats were about 25' from the stage !
See, people used to drop a little LSD before going to a Floyd concert (I say "used to"....ok) and the whole thing was an experience like no other. Their concerts and light shows were so infamous that even today there are laser light shows dedicated to people going to an arena like this where they will play Floyd music sync'd with the lights/lasers and those are also really cool...even without the band being there! :) Ahh....memories. And yes, still one of the best concerts (Pulse) I've ever seen.
i say that often how lucky we are to live when these people lived. it must be what it was like to see Mozart perform live for those who lived in his time here is a thought the number of people who DIDNT live to hear this music is uncountable and the number of people who will be born after you can no longer hear it, is also uncountable how lucky we few are not to be in either group eh?
Asia Did you notice backup vocalists were swaying to this song? Every concert that Pink Floyd has at each show; they have vocalists with them on tour or have local vocalists.
You never will see a better live performance than Pink Floyd in concert. Absolute perfection in sound, lighting and musicianship. I was lucky enough to see them in Sydney Australia….in the late 80’s and was blown away completely. Never seen anything come close since and I have seen plenty.
I've been lucky enough to see Pink Floyd live, its expensive, but its one of those gigs that's worth every penny, awesome. Its worth it for the light show Pulse is just brilliant, you need to see more!
Pulse tour was 1995. Seen them in Sydney twice. Absolutely epic. Best concert of my life to this day. Video gives no justice. Light and sound better than Coachella.
It was asked how he did those sounds so I will explain, even though it has been a year since this video. There is a signal booster, a flanger and a compressor to note but delay effects are what you are interested in the most. He has two delay boxes that delay the sound so he is playing the notes slightly before you hear them. The songs main part starts out with that rolling, chugging picking that you hear underlying throughout the song. In between that you hear little embellishments. The delay makes things sound more fluid in between the two. At the very start, he is making that chick chick sound by muting the strings. He is laying his hand across the strings to mute them at the bridge of the guitar. He also scrapes the pick down the string for that other effect.
This was a fantastic Encore song. The final song of the Pulse concert was "Comfortably Numb", a totally awesome performance with an outstanding guitar solo by Gilmore. It is one of the best guitar solos of all time and an awesome light show. BJ would love it. You guys should definitely react to it. I saw the Pulse concert back in 1994. Absolutely the best concert of anyone else'sI have seen. It's permanently etched in my memory till I die.
You did Comfortably Numb, which was the song right before this at this concert (it was 1994). I saw this tour and there is no experience in life like it.
I love to watch people that haven’t seen live Pink Floyd concerts. They stare at the performance like UFOs are landing. Like total astonishment… There was a time when there were large concerts that brought all sorts of people together. No matter the race, creed, or whatever, everyone was just getting together, enjoying the performance. We need that again. Music should bring folks together. Great video guys!
I met David Gilmour in 1984 back stage at a concert in Hollywood Calif. He gave me a signed album that I have in my music room. We talked for 22 minutes. I called him…“The Master Of The Stratocaster” He smiled. I told him his music will stand the test of time with anything from Beethoven or Mozart. He smiled even bigger. I asked if I could shake both his hands that make such great guitar solos, he smiled bigger and said “Sure” and shook both hands at the same time, making a cross between us, I smiled HUGE. I asked him to describe his technique of playing guitar, he replied… “I strike a note, bend it, shake it and then release it”…. Yes, he does that quite well, better than any other guitarist I know. All of us fortunate enough to have seen this show live were in a TRANCE.... MESMERIZED the entire show... as you can imagine. We walked out saying.... What did we just witness? That was out of this world incredible. The Red Fender Stratocaster he used for this concert in the Guitar Collector World is ....PRICELESS
A Pink Floyd concert is not just an aural experience, it's a visual experience. If you haven't done it already, do The Great Gig In The Sky from the same Pulse concert.

Next one from Pink Floyd - Dogs ( with lyric ) = 17 min song .. 🎸🎸🎶🎶
Pink Floyd rabbit hole! Go for it!! 😃
I will ❤️
Sorrow from PULSE is a must!! :) well any song from PULSE is, but Sorrow .... just WOW.
fun fact: Guy Pratt would change the "send you back to London in a cardboard box" line throughout the tour, to whichever city they were playing in. So if for example they were playing in Oslo, Norway, he would sing "send you back to Oslo in a cardboard box". Not super interesting I guess, but there you go :p
Fan service lol
You can’t go wrong with any of Pink Floyd’s music
John P. ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!!!!!!
comfortably numb from the pulse concert is a must
This concert was October 1994 at Earl's Court London, unbelievably 28 years ago.
I said this before, I saw these guys over thirty years ago and they're still the best concert I ever went to
To see Pink Floyd live in concert is mind blowing to say the least !
Ahh....memories. And yes, still one of the best concerts (Pulse) I've ever seen.
They were absolutely incredible live. They were melt you in your seat good!
How lucky the audience were to witness such an amazing concert
i say that often how lucky we are to live when these people lived. it must be what it was like to see Mozart perform live for those who lived in his time
here is a thought
the number of people who DIDNT live to hear this music is uncountable
and the number of people who will be born after you can no longer hear it, is also uncountable
how lucky we few are not to be in either group eh?
They do that song at the end of their show alot. Been a favorite band of mine since I was a teenager. That's a helluva concert to see.

Asia
Did you notice backup vocalists were swaying to this song? Every concert that Pink Floyd has at each show; they have vocalists with them on tour or have local vocalists.
I am glad you both both got to see RUN LIKE HELL live at the Pulse Concert. What a performance!!!
I've seen them more times than I can count. Every time felt like some kind of spiritual communion with like-minded, open, appreciative people.
A classic Pink Floyd song.
The Shine on you crazy diamond version from Pulse is amazing and my favorite performance of that song.
The band has multiple sound and lighting engineers operating at every show. They were innovaters in bringing much of this stagecraft to rock music.
I was just to the left of, & slightly in front of the mixing desk. An absolutely awesome night.
Wasn’t it though? I was lucky enough to have VIP seats when they came to the US on this tour. 👍🏼
@@lynnhoffmann247 My first time was 1988 at Wembley Stadium, London. I was also lucky enough to see them reunited again at Live8.. 💖
@@onlymeian58 Lucky you! 🤗
Anything Pink Floyd is great with me. Love them for 45 years now. Master Gilmour is one with his guitars, so beautiful to listen to him play.
Not sure if they still do Pink Floyd laser light shows or not. But if you hear of one, go check it out.
Seen the pulse tour in 1994 at Arrowhead Stadium.......they played for about 3 hours, was so loud my ears rang for a week! Best concert I've ever seen.
"Sorrow" from this same Pulse Tour is great, every song from it is great
Check out Pink Floyd YOUNG LUST. it’s on TheWall.
That sound effect part is on the album although different
You never will see a better live performance than Pink Floyd in concert. Absolute perfection in sound, lighting and musicianship.
I was lucky enough to see them in Sydney Australia….in the late 80’s and was blown away completely.
Never seen anything come close since and I have seen plenty.
Pulse Is so great, you need to watch both DVD's but you need to go back in time and check out - Pink Floyd -"Echoes" Pompeii - you will enjoy it,
I too love Echoes.
I've been lucky enough to see Pink Floyd live, its expensive, but its one of those gigs that's worth every penny, awesome.
Its worth it for the light show
Pulse is just brilliant, you need to see more!
Pulse tour was 1995. Seen them in Sydney twice. Absolutely epic. Best concert of my life to this day. Video gives no justice. Light and sound better than Coachella.
And they were that good even that much longer....well today if they are still playing.
I saw this concert in Nashville in 1994 with my girlfriend (now wife of 27 years) and it was AWESOME! Thanks for the reaction.
This is what happens when the special effects guy asks the band, “What’s my budget?” And the band says, “No limit.”
Probably the most influential. And best live band in the world
Please check out GREAT GIG IN THE SKY from the Pulse Concert (1994 London).
You guys should check them out doing The Great Gig In the Sky live.
Asia & BJ, their "Us And Them" is next for you!! Impressive guys, your 10th Pink Floyd song.
pink floyd live is an experience. i've only seen them once but hands down the greatest show i've ever seen.
So grateful for this band.
Oh YES 😃
You have to do Comfortably Numb from the same show. The guitar solo is insane
Oh yes I totally agree! Its beautiful.

Same concert: “High Hopes “ vocals and Gilmore playing the slide guitar just reach inside you and grab your emotions.
I saw Floyd at Milwaukee county stadium back in the 1980s.
Great show.
