I bought a rear wing endplate of the 2018 HAAS from F1authentics and it's pretty awesome, shipping was super fast and it came in a really nice shadow box. I even got Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen to sign it for me at the Detroit GP weekend last year.
@BEAN BOYS ENCORPORATED I get the point of the last joke, but the fuel pumps are actually a spec part that everyone uses. I think Red Bull’s issue was with how the fuel pump interacted with their power unit specifically
I attended the Adelaide GP (Australia) back in the mid 80's when it was the very last race on the calendar year. At the end of the race, after the podium ceremony in the pit lane, I saw fans walk away with damaged spoilers, old turbos, and one even with an entire damaged wheel & tyre. The team pit crews used to literally toss old or damaged parts into the crowd rather than pack them and ship them all the way back to Europe. Wish I had thought to grab something back then. :)
Ah yes F1 Authentics. Where some Items somehow ship within 2 weeks. And other Items don't even have a shipping update after 3 Months and you get no hold of Customer Service after spending 2 grand on a car part :) It's really fun :)
They have been selling some questionable items lately. Like claiming certain items are race worn when they aren’t and misrepresenting pieces of a 2021 car as a 2022 car. Not cool.
Same here unfortunately, bought a race worn item from one of the first races of this year and still waiting. I send them multiple mails but get standard answers: the team send it during summer break, send it next week, send it....
I have a Cosworth piston used in Sir Jackie Stewart's Tyrrell Ford in the 1971 season it came from no 4 cylinder . I also have the no 2 piston from the late great Ronnie Peterson's 1978 Lotus in the USA west Grand Prix the car was the first ever ground effect car designed by Peter Wright, Colin Chapman, Martin Ogilvie and Tony Rudd .I have considered selling them but I have no idea what the value would be . Does anybody have an idea .

F1 Authentics have just let me know that if you're going to buy something from their store, use the promo code 10PERCENT to get 10% off your first order!
Really cool but I feel they shouldn't clean them up and cover up the race wear. That's what distinguishes them from unused shelf parts. I would love a plank where you still see the action damage or a wheel hub with scratches from wheel guns and so on....
Really love this unique F1 content when I thought there couldn't be anything else I would need to know about F1 (not technical, just superficially). Easy sub! Can't wait for more of your content and 1M subs!
Why doesn't anybody sell fragments and small parts after a collision? Having a piece of that tire that blew up and ruined that driver's championship, or any piece of carbon from a very famous accident (provided all drivers were ok ..) is quite an attraction, with all due respects to parts from winning cars or parts that were just used once in practice...
Most of the time the broken parts will go back to the teams factories to be analysed, but for small parts to be sold is again is more unnecessary work for the teams. They'll have to repair it as they can't be selling broken parts as that could hurt the buyer, and for such a small part it isn't worth it finically - but also the main point, they don't have to do any of this so they don't bother!
I'd like to believe there's a market for crash memorabilia, as buyers know exactly where their part came from, how it affected the championship, and most likely have those historical accidents on video.... but sadly I agree that if nobody has to do it - nobody will. Whilst I fantasize in a UA-cam comment, why not though? A crashed part isn't very different from any other... All parts return to the teams after each session (attached to the car or not) and are worked as needed until at some point some parts get processed to be delivered to F1 Authentics. No logistical differences that I can see... However a crashed part is identifiable and more meaningful therefore worth more. If F1 Authentics then invest energy and time cutting and selling 2" squares bodywork from some random FP1, not to.mention the TLC they give other parts with no known source like disk breaks, well IMHO they can make more money from any piece of the car or tire which has a well known, crucial and impactful heritage... And I would've loved to buy one 💥🏎️🤑

Just a heads up, recently news came out that F1 Authentics tends to sell a lot of supposedly "original" products that turn out to be fake after all With how often it seems to happen, i would absolutely not recommend that website to anyone
This channel has way fewer subs than it should. Good thing is that with this quality it’s just a matter of time (shout out to Brrrake F1 channel as well!!)
Do they buy the parts from the teams or do they get the stuff for free, since it's basically trash for the tams anyway? Because I can't imagine how they get to 400£ for a tiny piece of bodywork in a frame without a ridiculous markup, if they didn't pay 300 for it themselves...

This is something I always thought about, as a means for teams to recuperate some cash. An obsolete steering wheel, for instance, could be sold for a small fortune (btw, what happens to old steering units?) And here is an idea for old F1 noses and front wings: have a base jumper use one upside-down when jumping from a cliff with a parachute strapped to her or his back; I'd be very curious to know how much lift a front wing of a F1 car has when positioned upside-down!
Those are all hard to sell trash in 7-10 years. Don't buy it. When I was younger I blew my paychecks on drivers helmets gloves and suits from Fernando Kimi and Schumis era. It was not fun selling them and barely made even

They have partnerships with the teams, so the teams give a particular amount each season in return for the services F1 Authentics offer!
If you don't get how they can charge £400 for something they get for basically free you don't understand supply and demand
if people werent paying 400 they wouldnt charge 400. if people are paying 400 why would they charge any less?
