Which is more of a threat to our nation? Oil filters or giving our enemies 85 billion dollars worth of military equipment.
Oil filters duh. If you disagree your racist.
That's stupid. Obviously the filters
At least those mean tweets are gone
America has been giving its enemies billions in weapons when it "pulls out" its occupying forces for decades. It's standard military practice as it costs more to inventory and ship them back than it does to just make/buy new ones. Weird that all of a sudden it's now upsetting people.
Oil filters. The equipment is 10,000 miles away from the USA and wont be coming back, Oil filters are exactly what domestic terrorists will use.
To be tracked for purchasing something that's 100% legal to own is a sign of where we're headed. Protect your rights!

I love the fact that you were introduced to the idea of modifying a fuel filter for use as a silencer BY THE GOVERNMENT.

True, its all to create a database on everyone that they can recall info from when it comes time to take down their opposition. Everyone can be made to look guilty if needed.
The patriot act, the most unpatriotic thing ever written.
I said the same thing right after they passed it. And they had it ready to go. Just looking for a crisis to ram it through.
That’s because Patriot doesn’t mean patriot, it’s an acronym - Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism. It’s just “clever” wording bs ⚔️
Even though it expired and Trump didn't renew it, on May 19, 2020, the Senate voted to give law enforcement agencies (FBI and CIA) the power to look into US citizens' browser history without a warrant.
@Plastic_Idol I’m sure you also believe Oswald was a lone shooter too right ? Clown
@Cyo 22 THE SENATE VOTED TO GIVE LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES (FBI AND CIA) THE POWER TO LOOK INTO US CITIZENS' BROWSER HISTORY WITHOUT A WARRANT.
I was flagged because I bought titanium tubing, TIG filler rod, and RC airplane parts. And this isn't the last you are gonna hear about this. When you get pulled over, it's gonna show that homeland security visited you and you are a person of interest. So any interaction with LEOs is taken up a notch. As a fellow veteran, that REALLY bothers me. It is getting very "1984ish"
From what I can gather, it isn't so much you personally they are spying on, there is a computer system that tracks the movement of shipped items, especially anything passing through customs. Another reason to buy American, you are less likely to get flagged if the orders aren't from AliExpress. Another thing that raises eyebrows is similar items going to the same address for different recipients, especially if they don't share a last name. But no matter how you slice it, they are watching what you are buying, which is one step from saying "you need a new license to purchase ____" tracking infrastructure and software already in place.
At this point, I think they are kinda testing the waters, seeing how it can be implemented. Plus it hasn't been challenged in court. The state of privacy is gonna be a huge issue within the next couple years. Quantum computing gives the DARPA types unprecedented prediction accuracy. Everything will get decided by an algorithm
It's starting to sound more like 1935 if you ask me.
@@varjen018 I was referring to the dystopian future of the novel 1984 by George Orwell. If you are referring to the Nazi rise to power when you said 1935...it doesn't quite fit. The Nazis used more direct means. They didn't harass you and make you jump through red tape. They just came in, seized your business, and threw you in the camps. I am the great grandson of a Romani holocaust survivor, so I am careful about drawing comparisons to those real world atrocities.
Ah, yes.
Maybe i should have been a little more elaborate. I meant the constant pushing from some people in government today, not only in the US but in EU too, to disarm the population totally. The NSP in its early days in germany started with disarming parts of the population they was going to target. Their goals were hopefully not the same as we are seeing today.
I mean, opressing armed people is a wee bit more work...
It's nice to hear they survived anyway!

If the investigation turns up nothing there should be no record or at the minimum if there is it should stipulate clearly that it turned out to be bs
As someone serving in the military in an intelligence field, I would love to see how they are creating these lists, as collecting on us citizens is horribly illegal without actually having a full investigation with sound reasons for the government to believe you could be a threat to our nations safety and or be engaged in "terrorist activities"....
I hear ya dude but practice OPSEC as much as possible and don't say where you stationed. Nut jobs out there fish for those with your access. Still, agree with you 100% on this comment.

The real issue is that everyone is doing something illegal that they aren't even aware of. That's how they get their foot in the door.
@growlingbehemoth Correct, they are counting on that. Once their foot is on your property, it's that much easier. Get a warrant + attorney. Truth in this case is that dude clicked on a baited FB ad for Suppressors probably out of curiosity...... Then this happened. FB/Google, are not your friends. Anyone, including a .GOV sting can buy ads.
Yep anything you say to police can only hurt your case. No warrant no search and don't talk without a lawyer
so...who else is concerned that Homeland Security had a list of everything he bought on the internet?
Yeah, why the fuck does he even have that info to begin with?
They do.
Not at all. They dont. They have a list of things that when purchased in quantity, must be reported. It's really simple. Lol. Been helping protect against very real problems for decades, whether you believe they're real or not.
It's akin to now requiring ID to purchase pseudoephedrine(?), but for the internet where your credit card and shipping address take the place of your ID. It isn't tracking you per se, it's tracking very specific things, which will give them your name after the fact.
Why would you be concerned lmao are you buying shit you shouldn't?
It’s all about money. It isn’t illegal to use oil filters for a suppressor you just have to fill out the paperwork to buy the adapter get the tax stamp and legally use them. It’s technically none of their business but they make everything their business for a fee.
The government has computer IT personnel that can create an “algorithm” to monitor the internet for specific words, such as “filters”. This is how they retrieve information on specific people. They can also do this to phone conversations.
As former federal law enforcement of 21 years, it’s important to know your rights. You are not obligated to answer any questions, nor are you required to turn over anything you may have legally purchased. Your use of any type of legal product whether it be 1 or a 1000 of them is your business only and not subject to their interpretation. If you have not done anything wrong there is nothing wrong with being cordial and cooperating, but realize they regularly utilize the tactic of asking questions with the idea that you will give more info than they presently have via your explanation. Inviting them into your home or garage is an example of this and something I would never do. You willfully granted them access to areas for which they would have to posses a warrant under any other circumstance. It is clearly not to the same extent, in that they cannot search through your belongings, but you do open up yourself to scrutiny of anything in plain view of the officers. If they are that interested in what you bought and what your doing with it, they should have to get a warrant. The reason they did not have one is because a judge is not going to grant one based on your purchase of oil filters.
next words out of my mouth after saying How are you officer.. Do you have a Warrant.. No.. then leave my property
You are wrong, its homeland security, they can get any warrant they want...they probably already had one, but didn't have to mention it because he invited them in.

Those days are long gone...
And don't forget to wear yer mask.
I am a retired LEO from the Metro Detroit area.
Never, ever say anything to the Feds questioning!!!!!
I’d say they’ll keep an eye on ya for a while to make sure there are no more concerns they have.
On today’s episode of “Which one of the bill of rights will be violated today!”
patriot act

"Well while we where breaching your privacy we saw something alarming...." This is the stuff that makes it hard to defend the police... Right, left, don't care both seek to chip away at individual freedoms in their own way.
@@thenamescraig Actually it was Attorney General John Ashcroft
I strongly urge you to NEVER speak to law enforcement, especially the feds, without speaking to a criminal attorney. Nothing you say to them will help you. It can only hurt.
when you are read your rights they say "you have the right to remain silent, anything you do say can and will be used against you in a court of law" thought that would be far more obvious to some people haha
@@FunniesRS Officers are only required to provide a Miranda warning when someone is in police custody. So, if an individual has not yet been arrested, law enforcement can ask questions and use responses as incriminating evidence in court.
Ohh didn't you hear him, he supports these thugs, "especially in these times" whatever the fuck that means. I guess he goes through life with blinders on or hates freedom.
great video and eye-opening
You're a good man, TM.
Man, I know you’re just a ‘regular’ guy doing regular stuff, but never ever talk to the police without representation. Officers often rely on a person’s good nature to get extra information. Be safe!
Agreed
Crazy thing is that he still respects them. If you ever read 1984 by George Orwell.....it just seems to be so true.
@Robert Slackware I think its all the indoctrination we get from the time we are a child forward that "Law Enforcement are the good guys which are here to help you" brainwash people don't think they just innocently offer them everything. Usually the only people who break this brainwash are higher IQ'ed people, people whom have gone through a traumatic experience with LE, or people whose family or friends educates and wakes them up to the Tyranny.
Don't talk to cops. Ever.
@Jason Johnson just like my ex-wife
5:10 - "He really didn't want an explanation, he just wanted me to give them back to them."
A) They just wanted you to allow them to seize your property, evidence to be used against you in a court of law, without a warrant or PC.
B) You can't give someone "back" what wasn't theirs to begin with.
I'm beginning to think that this is a 'gatekeeping' vid.
Give us your silencers..."sure here you go"...oh, we knew you didn't have silencers, but you admitted they were silencers so, now you are in prison.
@@canonkroh6449 Time to seize the house, garage and land that was used as a manufacturing hub for highly illicit contraband used by terrorist elements. I feel really bad for the young fella. Hopefully he is more aware of the fuckery that threatens even the most straight laced among us....
the Government were the ones selling the filters online to catch people. hence they wanted them back, they need them to catch someone else.
It is legal for police to lie to you, present false evidence and make false promises. Everything will be used against you.
How to let every one knows how to suppress your water soaker. Now all the kids in the neighbourhood can carry out stealth raids with out being heard.
First off thank you for your service! These guys are just doing their jobs and you handled it like everyone that’s not hiding anything should, they probably won’t show up again and if they do just do remember they’re just doing their job. FYI don’t click or check out cheap websites that show parts related to the ones they were asking for in the first place just saying
Just doing their jobs is not great cover. Nuremburg defendants all said something similar, but then again only the losers went on trial. Bomber Harris was likely one of the greatest of the mass killers, though Stalin had good numbers too.
DO NOT EVER TALK TO THE POLICE WITHOUT A LAWYER. EVER!!!
Edit: if you have a good lawyer, they will advise you to NEVER talk to police.
Anything you say CAN and WILL be used against you. It can NEVER be used to help you. KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT.

What the hell does “at times like this”? Does it mean at times that government agents are constantly infringing upon the rights of citizens using a 20 year old incident as justification?
Times like this... You should get an attorney and file a lawsuit.
The fact is you are a law-abiding citizen who has rights.
The method in which they use to gain the warrant should be thoroughly investigated.
As far as I know what they insinuated you intended to use the oil filter for.
Does not fall under Homeland Security's jurisdiction.
That in facts would be the ATF.
Which without direct evidence that you were committing a crime.
Would never have been able to gain a warrant.
Get a lawyer and protect your rights.
Hes riggt , grt. Lawyer dude. Next thinv you know they will frame you for shit.
@Robert Slackware Disbanded come on lol get real
There's no grounds for a lawsuit in that situation no right had been violated

I've learned about oil filters as silencers in a video game some years back. I forgot which one exactly. I played one recent game a couple of years ago and the main character is able to use oil filters as silencers, also. "Days Gone" is the name of the game.
If they didn’t have a warrant you should’ve told them to go away and called a lawyer.
I might order a filter just to get free 24hr security !

You can buy an adapter that’ll let you screw an regular oil filter on the end of your firearm. That adapter is the actual regulated part in that scenario.
Snowden talked about how they get this in formation in 2013. That system is still running and still being used.
It’s frickin ridiculous with all that’s going on in this country they’re wasting tax dollars and resources on this
It’s disturbing that they had a history of your purchases
Yeah, I'm surprised how they got such a record? How are they getting order records from private companies? I know they can with warrants if they want to investigate you, but you would have to already of done something suspicious. This is more they analyzed the records first to flag the order.
Everything you do or buy or look at is tracked, there's a guy sitting in Russia who told you this, they dont need to ask for anything, check the T&C's they are long and broad, in effect everytime to click ok when you look on a site your letting anyone see what you are doing
They don't. They got it from the postal service, which obviously does heavy monitoring of people delivering illegal material.
😂
@@charlesb2943 They track EVERY key stroke. They record EVERY conversation ( Smart devices ). Just something to think about. And to put a security system in your home from any one other than yourself (hard wired ) is asinine.
Thanks for putting us all on the tracked list now by innocently watching this video. I mean, I'm not from your part of the country, so I had to watch all of it to understand the accent. Plus I have a diesel truck. On that, what kind of oil filter do you recommend for a F350, 7.3, IDI turbo diesel.. It's about 30 years old and is 8 cylinder. Maybe recommend two. One to replace now, and one to keep as a truck filter if I have an oil related emergency and no repair shops open. The second can be cheaper and easy to slap on while on the side of the road or a field or whatever as a back up spare. Anyway, raise your internet security awareness and searching after the fact maybe didn't help you.
you were targeted because you are former military, thank you for your service sir.
Go to Europe and you can buy suppressors for 50 euros.
Buy a fuel filter in America and get homeland security knocking on your door.
Burn a Target to the ground after stealing everything out of it and you're good, though. I'd say we're good and fucked, everybody just waiting for the first domino to fall.
The funny thing is suppressors are actually encouraged in Europe, correct me if Im wrong but in some countries in Europe they are required. All suppressors are, is nothing more than a novelty..
So you can shoot a gun without your ears ringing, some suppressors are really loud, they are not silencers
REALLY? whats the exchange rate euro/USD right now? Asking for my friend Diesel DAVE
@@LateLost the suppressors are still really loud, just not loud enough to make your ears ring, and that's part of they extremely strick laws, in Canada you may have a pistol but leave it at the gun club and only shoot it at the gun club, crazy laws could easily be asked to be enforced in the states
