I was adding a sway bar and needed access to a bolt location on the frame (ie Hellwig 1139-173). The DEF tank blocked access and my man sausage fingers just would not fit. This video hit the mark 100%. No million dollar shop air tools and overhead hydraulic lift, this dude is on a creeper under his truck with hand tools like the rest of us. Great attention to safety, proper tools, note the cloves, right on man.
Hardest part is disconnecting the plastic QUICK disconnect. And isn't shown in the video. Never know how the push disconnect plug works unless you've done it before. And likely will break it, by the time you learn how it works.
This why I WON'T EVER own a new Ford Diesel truck. To much crap to deal with and the cost of repairs if you don't do it yourself is through the sealing. That's why I own and won't sell my 2001 7.3L F350. It's not as comfy but I KNOW I can fix it myself and it RARELY EVER breaks. When it does it's the usual stuff on any vehicle, like brakes or batteries and I can Fix it quickly and cheaply. New Fords are nice and comfy when they work, when they don't they're an expensive nightmare. Thanks for sharing. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya
I called Ford on this for my truck and they said this would take 6 hours. It looks pretty straight forward to, me about how long would you say this takes? I would think Ford has mechanics who have done this before and have all the right tools, which is a couple so I would think it would be fairly fast and easy.

Truck is too clean. When it’s full of dirt or clay makes a lot harder.

+Kim Staton It may take you an afternoon to perform the repair. It's not that hard of a repair but it may take a bit. 1aauto.com
