Ryzen 3600 + b550 tomahawk = €336 Intel i5 10600k + z490 gaming plus = €365 The difference between the prices is €29 which one should I go with? I'm heading towards the intel (strix 1070ti + 2x8 3200mhz corsair vengeance ram)
@@dannitechbenchmarks8555 Yeah that makes sense too lol. At the moment is going for a ryzen 7 3700x better/equivalent than going for a top tier i5 (10th gen)? A bit confused about that.
@@prosilicus It's better to go for an i5 10400F in my opinion. (or R3600) you will be GPU bound anyways and don't get any more performance from going with a 10600k or R3700X. From my test: The 10400F is the best all around performer for gamers. It gives you highest FPS while also having 6 cores for everyday tasks. All for a good price. If you are purely after gaming performance, then the R3300X is the best choice.
Thanks for the vid.. WOuld you recommend the 10600k while streaming and recording warzone at 1080p with a 1080ti? I want a strong CPU thats future proof and will deliver 144+fps in game while streaming and recording :) Thank you!
Thanks! That really depends on your streaming settings. I usually would not recommend CPU streaming anymore (X264), since you get better quality with NVENC on Nvidia GPUs. BUT this is only on RTX 2060 and upwards where a better encoder is within the hardware. So are you using X264 in OBS? If so, which setting? (fastest, medium..) What is your current CPU?
@@dannitechbenchmarks8555 Thanks for the reply, really appreciate it. I understand the turing architecture is needed for the better stream I guess? However im not going to change my GPU anytime soon.. Currently im using an i5 7600 which is bottlenecking my card. Im not sure what settings i would use in OBS i assume it would require tweaking but all i want is 144fps in game (warzone) while streaming the gameplay to 1080p... Im just not sure what CPU i would need to take away the bottle neck and give me the power needed to run OBS along side something like warzone. Intel is better for gaming sure but adding streaming to the mix might mean a 3700x is the better option? But will i reach 144fps with the 3700x? :(
@@NicholasAsher My R3700X had 156FPS in Warzone with an RTX 2070 and even higher with an RTX 2070 Super. I will test the 10600k with streaming and let you know how much difference it will make.
@@dannitechbenchmarks8555 Ok so I should be fine with a 3700x then :D. Well man to be honest it might be worrth making a video and having streaming in the title as im not seeing enough content around this topic :) You've been very helpful and if you go through with the video ill be sure to watch it , thank you! @@NicholasAsher Don't worry, I'm currently benchmarking and recording the 3700x while streaming and will later do the 10600k. So a comparison will follow shortly ;) tomorrow or the day after.
You will see close to no difference between the two right now. So if you are focused on Budget, the 10600k or even better the 10400F is the way to go. If you want maximum in performance even in 2023 then you would be better with an 8 core part.
Is the 10600K the best gaming value CPU at the moment?

Can you do the same test but with the 10600k overclocked to 5.0ghz. Thank you, you’ve earn a subscriber!
I also have some comparisons with the 5GHz, but it won't make a difference in this due to the GPU bottleneck.

Why is RDR2 on the 3700x on DirectX 12 and the others on Vulcan? It affects the results a lot
I don't know why you don't have more subscribers.

Really good editing tbh
Nice test this vidéo on low settingss thnkss
Perhaps add assassin's creed odyssey? From what I hear that game is really demanding.
Unfortunately it's not demanding but poorly optimised :(

If you have the money or budget go for Core i7. But in reality you cannot spot the difference from 5-10 fps..
I7 won't get you any benefit in games at the moment :)
Save money buy going with the i5 and put it into a better graphics card.
