October 1978 we were 23 years old. Heaven and existing as young adults in the 1970's. We did not know how fortunate we were. We have to thank Chris Rhea and others for those past reminders how lucky we are in these sad modern times. So glad we were there for ever and ever. Jackie and Steve.

Though the pain is one you wouldn’t wish on your enemy, the memory of the experience of such a great love makes it worth it. I once knew a man for only 4 months but the love was so strong it took me 20 years to stop hurting after he walked away. First heard on the radio aboard the Greyhound bus in October 1978, heading west from Quebec to Vancouver Island after an autumn harvesting wheat in Saskatchewan as part of a North American adventure, far from the land down under, Chris Rea was a young northern British pop musician writing his own songs, breaking into the US market and this very catchy piece was written for his 17 year old sister, who had just suffered the break up of her first serious affair, but as Chris sings, "Fool if you think its over, its only just begun". Thus this very memorable moment of the glorious 1970s, began a long creative career for Chris Rea, unfortunately interrupted by serious illness, but Chris persevered, and has given us a magnificent repertoire of evocative music for those special times back when life was both a pleasure and an adventure to be celebrated, including "Driving Home for Christmas" and "On the Beach", before the planet became crowded out and overwhelmed, so thank you Chris for braving your battles, coming through and providing such wonderful memories from a time long gone, but relished by us who were there.

I read it at 15, but I wasn't willing to listen to Gibran about love. Later in life, I broke up with the love of my life because I didn't understand what Gibran was teaching. Through the years, every once in a while, I would read some of the book. I'm so glad that I read the love chapter again after I left my darling, and finally understood the importance of the advice. I realized I had been only living partially, and understood it's definitely not enough!! I was so lucky he took me back! I had some important growing to do! 😀

"Who could love...do that to you...all dressed in black...and he ain't comin back!" OMG the pain we have all felt in this scenario and the depth of soul in this song is just absolutely beyong words!! I have played this over and over and never tire of it. Just something Godly in it!!
