What can I say that hasn’t already been said, everything from your choice of music, to the stunning videography to your voice overs absolutely hits the mark time after time, how you create the atmosphere to the framing and sequence of your editing, by far the best utube channel.
The Scottish tourist board should be sponsoring you. What a wonderful part of the world and as usual you have the photography and suiting nailed. Thanks for sharing.
WOW. JUST WOW. What fantastic cinematography. Some seriously talented work. When you are done sailing this is the way forward. Absolutely fantastic wok.
I just can't believe the impact you have on me personally. Your kindness that you bring to your viewers and your ability to know what we need in watching and your sharing your lives with us. The photography, narrating, music, and the quality is amazing. You always bring your best and I thank you very much.
Thank you for taking me along to places I will never go, and I didn't know existed. I am eternally grateful for you sharing this mystical location. Congratulations on the beautiful weather window.
Absolutely fantastic. Your best episode since Namibia. You both should be hugely proud of this one along with the weather gods who really delivered stunning visual conditions. Thank you!
What a feast for the eyes that was! St Kilda was absolutely stunning on one of those rare summery days! So glad you made it there - this was my favourite of your northern adventures!
Thank you for taking us to the lands of my distant relatives. You and Madison boatworks are the two best sailing channels. I whittled it down from a ton originally. Your two are genuine people who would be best friends probably. And the storytelling/cinematography, omg.
Again Matt and Amy, stunning video. So pleased we had the opportunity to meet you in Leveret Bay. Fair winds on all your travels. Dave & Lynette, Callisto.
I can’t thank you enough for this video on St Kilda. These are islands which I have wanted to sail to for years. You got an extraordinary first day on St Kilda. You make it look more attractive than ever. ❤⛵️ So far I have watched it 3 times. And I am going to watch it a whole lot more.
Just a visual and audible feast. Good for you, Amy for dallying around and keeping the opportunity open to catch this blessing. You both are so talented as sailors and videographers. Thanks from the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. I'd never get to see this otherwise.
You made it! That wasn’t a window it was a teensy porthole of opportunity? 👏👏. It is easy to forget that there are only the two of you creating such astonishing high quality, vivid, in the moment cinematography.. Thank you
Everyone has said it! Stunning videography, music and excellent narration. So happy for you…. and us, that you made it to St Kilda. That sunrise sequence getting there is spectacular ❤️
You are so blessed to have seen St Kilda in such mind blowing, intoxicating, majestically surreal, rare and beautiful ambiance; as we are bless because you shared this well documented, amazing experience. I have lived in many remote places from 122.4W to 113.5E and from 60.8N to 51.7S. I am for ever in awe of the isolated island communities I lived in for years and for which I shed a tear on leaving. That makes me think how heart wrenching it was in 1930 for the final 36 evacuees from St Kilda. It seemed like you were glad it disappeared into the mist within minutes of setting sail from Village Bay. I get that! I bet you missed chippies and Indian carry outs! Thank you for another great inspirational video.
We have been following you as subscribers for a long time but today is the first time I have had to leave a comment. I have never ever seen such beautiful photography of the Scottish Isles and in particular, St Kilda. Wow. You two are the best.❤
What a great achievement to sail to St Kilda. Your sailing skills are amazing and your thirst for adventure is second to none. Safe sailing going south. RayC
SHEESH, the St. Kilder residents had a tough life. Makes me wonder their adjustment when they had to leave and start over. So, so sorry they had to leave their homes. I hope they had a wonderful new life. I’ve grown so fond of you two, over the years, hoping your lives are as wonderful as you’ve made ours…from an old vet, retired in the US foothills of the Smoky Mountains.
I have been following you since the Pacific. Just as i thought it was not easy for you to live ashore in England again.....its good to see you again folks.
I wonder what effect your video's and experiences are going to have on peoples sailing plans for summer next year. If I was in the UK it would definitely have me studying charts rights now!
You see how unpredictable the weather has been this year for your round Britain voyage. Horrendous! You probably know better than me for how many years back you need to look for a comparison. Yes, that beach at Barra is how I remember Scottish beaches - truly dramatic.! Maybe I've just been lucky, but it happened every time, and I'm glad to see you guys capturing it for your thousands of viewers to get a taste of what's out there without having to go to Canary Islands, etc.
Once again just amazing. Tha photography perfect. The island seems so ancient and mysterious....the fog eerily forboding. I cannot imagine how difficult life was for those who lived there. I am grateful for the opportunity to visit, thank you! Oh yes....perfect musical ambiance.
So glad you were patient and made it to St Kilda. It is a very special place, and you have captured its essence beautifully. When I went there I felt the need to swim off the beach. I learned later the sea temperature was 1 degrees C. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures.
Necessity is so often the mother of wonder, especially at sea: you could not have planned that dawn approach to the Kilda archepelago, or that day of rolling seafog! So glad you made it, and that you stuck around in Scotland to see out the horrendous twelve months that started in mid-Sept 2023. once again a beautiful video of a brilliantly executed passage. cheers!
Lovely video. Nice to hear your voices and a bit of history about St Kilda and discover that gorgeous hidden paradise. Anytime you show animals is also wonderful. Loved the laid back cows on the beach, the sheep and those beautiful dolphins.
Stunning film making you guys. I am a pro film maker and a sailor, so I can understand the challenges. Just impeccable work, you should be working for the BBC--but not in an office in Shepard's Bush! Wonderful editing and great music choices too! Blown away with the adventure and your wonderful filming of it all. My name will show up here as McGrain, but my family are the McNeil Clan. You were so close to Kishimul Castle in Barra, the McNeil family seat centuries ago. I was so hoping you would adventure there, but it was a little further north than your course out to St. Kilda. Your shots of Kilda certainly made up for that. Fair winds you fellers. Take care out there.
Thank you. That means a lot especially from a professional, we try to continually learn and improve. We did stop in at castle bay briefly to re-supply and climb the hill but we didn't film that part.
@@SailingYachtFlorence Well, it looks like you are having a wonderful time up there. Delighted to see your adventures. Good luck on your travels and many thanks for sharing.
I was lucky enough to have 3 nights ashore on St Kilda - stayed on one of the restored cottages (v basic, dormitory style) and ate etc in another which has a kitchen & table etc. the walk over the island to the NW corner was great; dawn light straight up the hill behind Village Bay was worth it too, to the top of the really high cliffs and the view over Boraray. Whilst being slightly attacked by the Skuas and Fulmars!
I havent liven"t live on Skye for 20 some years but I do remember the 70mile per hour fogs. Love how much you got to enjoy the innner and outer islands
This is just an awaesome episode - it has to be the best ever! - you guys are amazing. I have been to lots of these bits of Scotland, but not St Kilda, and have you have totally nailed it - you are both such an inspiration.... Thank you!
I was lucky to visit St Kilda 30 years ago on a patrol boat, climbed Conachair, which left such a vivid memory, my house is adorned with photos, and my laptop has Village Bay as it's background. Stunning place Great video!!
fantastic video, the quality is always great, but I've recently had cataract surgery and my vision is seriously improved, and now I realize just how mind bogglingly good your images are. Thanks for all the great work
Great video. My wife and I sailed the coast of Alaska for 20+ years from the mid 80's to the early 2000"s. Weather was a major factor on where we went and when we went there. Fortunately I had a job where I could take a couple of months off in the summer so we weren't as pressed for time. My sailing days are behind me now. I have been following your exploits for several years. Thanks for all the great videos.
Just stunning. As usual excellent quality and wonderful content. I agree with others that your story and the quality of your videography and sound and particularly the amazing story, is all worthy of a much larger audience. I have followed you for 90% of your journey, hopefully it will continue a good while yet. Fair winds and following seas. 😊

Simply outstanding!
Totally agree
Perfect music!
Yes, simply perfect. Following you has been a pure pleasure!
The Scottish tourist board should be sponsoring you. What a wonderful part of the world and as usual you have the photography and suiting nailed. Thanks for sharing.
You are the best sailors and cinematographers on UA-cam and your boat is rigged the best.
They just constantly continue to push forward in reasonable secure comfort. Really quite amazing.
All the new instruments are very cool.
WOW.
I have been following the two of you for many years, this and the last episode are maybe the best you ever produced! Just stunning filming!
Simply stunning. Awesome filming. Thank you ❤
That really is a 1 in a gazillion day to be on St Kilda.
Thank you for showing us history and the beauty of the world!!
Another outstanding film. Keep living your dream, you two.
Spectacular, we all can't thank you enough.
Thank you for taking me along to places I will never go, and I didn't know existed. I am eternally grateful for you sharing this mystical location. Congratulations on the beautiful weather window.
Beautiful, stunning production again. Very inspirational. ❤ Thank you 🙏
Wow, Stunning!! Your excellent videography certainly conveys the story of your journey.
Absolutely fantastic. Your best episode since Namibia. You both should be hugely proud of this one along with the weather gods who really delivered stunning visual conditions. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing what stunning places we have on our earth .
Stunning storytelling, just getting better and better.
The cinematography and storytelling are unsurpassed.
A great video with very appropriate atmospheric music.Loved it,thank you.Roly 🇬🇧.
Epic! You have surpassed your peers and left them soooo far behind. My wife and I wait patiently for your next release. You have earned our support!
What a feast for the eyes that was! St Kilda was absolutely stunning on one of those rare summery days! So glad you made it there - this was my favourite of your northern adventures!
Possibly our favourite too, although the Puffins on the Shiant Islands are hard to beat!
Another fantastic episode guys, amazing photography, you captured that beautiful scenery spectacularly, love the haunting music too. Fair winds
Thank you for taking us to the lands of my distant relatives.
You and Madison boatworks are the two best sailing channels. I whittled it down from a ton originally. Your two are genuine people who would be best friends probably. And the storytelling/cinematography, omg.
I grew up on Enid Blyton and one of her books “The island of adventure “ describes what you are showing us. Just loving this series!! Thank-you.
Brave and beautiful. Simply outstanding filming. Of all the UA-cam tribe, your videography is unmisable.
Again Matt and Amy, stunning video. So pleased we had the opportunity to meet you in Leveret Bay. Fair winds on all your travels. Dave & Lynette, Callisto.
Wonderful visuals and soundscape. Great music and audio nrecordings. Bravo
Thanks we are trying to improve the soundscaping on our videos, so it is nice that you noticed! :-)
@ noticed? I was blown away by the attention to detail and the rich balance.
One of the best sailing episodes ever of all sailing channels of youtube.....just breathtaking..!!!
I think you are a little…misinformed..maybe try just to name one” tupaia” maybe your eyes will go open??
I can’t thank you enough for this video on St Kilda. These are islands which I have wanted to sail to for years. You got an extraordinary first day on St Kilda. You make it look more attractive than ever. ❤⛵️

Beautiful film, thank you for lingering long enough to be able to make it, fair winds.
This is just breathtaking cinematography and the story you are telling is wonderful. It's just a pleasure to watch.
As always, stunning!
But I fail to comprehend that you two don't have a million subs!💔
You do the absolute best video work I have seen. Thank you posting this series.
Everyone has said it! Stunning videography, music and excellent narration. So happy for you…. and us, that you made it to St Kilda. That sunrise sequence getting there is spectacular ❤️
What a wonderful episode!! This was the best of any recent sailing video. Honestly. You two inspire us. Thank you.
Absolutely GLORIOUS!
The camera work and sound editing are stunning.
Absolutely stunning. Your videos get better and better. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing! Seeing cows on a beach like that is one of the most unique things I've seen on a sailing channel!

Wow that island is amazing, it almost looked like the fog is hugging the land like a super down duvet

The Isle of Barra has a castle previously owned by my ancestors. The MacNeils. Have you seen the castle?
The story of the people of St Kilda is so sad. But what a place to visit. Great video. Thank you for taking me back.
Amazing cinematic episode. Stunning work and grand adventure
Once again just amazing. Tha photography perfect. The island seems so ancient and mysterious....the fog eerily forboding. I cannot imagine how difficult life was for those who lived there. I am grateful for the opportunity to visit, thank you! Oh yes....perfect musical ambiance.
Fabulous. You are my International Geographic.

More Epic cinematography and wonderful scenery. The fog was extra special and really made it eerie and spectacular. Thanks for sharing..!!
