Except John Danaher is, and was at that time, not just a random dude. He was the perfect trainer at the perfect moment in Jiu Jitsu history to say that to.
Dean Lister's jiujitsu however comes through Relson Gracie and Fabio Santos. Relson as I understand was the black sheep of the family and enjoyed leg locks far more than the rest.
How the fuck did you even notice that? And what was edited out? Please explain the genius you saw happen, I’m trying to find it but honestly don’t know what I’m looking for. Unless you’d seen the unedited version, I suppose it’s near on impossible to understand the genius or effectiveness of said edit… 🤔
No Gracie banned because they lost to the "luta livre" guys. Hélio and his stutents lost to Oswaldo fadda. So they banned and told that was a dirty stile
@@ronpaulrevered I don't really know but I'm interested. I've seen some lectures by Chomsky on American Imperialism and the idea of the state acting as an oppressor from the be giving seems to bleed through. I think his view might match up? Maybe. As said I don't really know.

This is by far the best explanation on leg attacks. By an enormous margin. John is top notch.
The best that you've heard. Lol I'm kidding.
I mean, no shit. He’s explaining his own system. Of course it will be the best
@@SnailHatan true I used leg locks but love his science of performing them
Lex always does a great job of eliciting these explanations as well.
How crazy is it that Dean Lister hit a random dude with a single line of dialogue that gave birth to the most dominant bjj team of all time?
Except John Danaher is, and was at that time, not just a random dude. He was the perfect trainer at the perfect moment in Jiu Jitsu history to say that to.
It’s just wild man

imagine having a drink with your bouncer friend and he talks like john.
JD deserves a red belt.
He’s not a founder.
I need this man to explain the birds and the bees to my kids
I wonder how many times he would work the word "strangle" into that conversation.
Such a hypnotic voice😌
Dana white in an alternate universe
Wow thats a nasty insult to John.

Danaher sound like he is on low batery
@4:15 genius editing.

Too many questions for one post. If you train you'll figure it out. Thanks

I can see danaher respects musashi's name. Wish I could see him discuss what he knows about musashi
Who knew the WWF was ahead of the game by 3 decades?
Good stuff, but... no mention of Eddie Cummings' contribution, or Lachlan Giles' system?
I'm just learning...3 weeks into leg locks..straight into side into reverse into butterfly....#ashigurami
I started watching Danaher's Leg Lock System last week. It's a completely new world to me.
Gracie bjj - were bullies --
They weren't infective it was mostly because of injuries, But I love when he talked about Dean Lister using leg locks
Yeah, Dean comes from the lineage that actually appreciated leg locks - through Relson Gracie and Fabio Santos
