I sold my 2015 city sv petrol manual last week. Did 98k kms on it. Super reliable car. Ground clearance and low torque when more people onboard is the main reason I sold it. I even did a kerala-manali trip on it.

I love to drive all cars and SUV's from Honda ! I purchased Jazz in 2011. In 2019 i sold it. I have driven more than 90,000 KMS in 8 years. I love Honda !
Proud owner of a 2010 Ivtech MT city. Yea the car is showing it's age but nothing out of ordinary. The engine is ❤ Recently did a Delhi Haridwar and back trip. It flies and stays stable at 120+. Definitely missed having a 6th gear but the new one has it. Yes Honda is very much reliable. Also very easy on pocket in terms of maintenance.
Engine is definitely reliable, but everything else is substandard. Ask Amaze owners who are having to completely change their entire suspension set up at merely 50,000 kms.
@@Vrr841 im saying this from my experience as I have had same issues with two Honda Amaze's in my family. One needed suspension change at 50 thousand kms and another at roughly 60 and cost is around 45 thousand rupees. In addition to this the steering rack is on its last leg and can give up any moment and that will require another 40 thousand INR to fix. And btw both the cars were driven by elderlies in the house. To iterate more, I live in Delhi, so you can imagine that the car has been driven on some of the better roads in the country.

Pretty decent?? Its a GOD engine.... i used it for 11 years.... i regret letting it go. I sold AMAZE DIESEL FOR 4 lakhs 65k km Done. I miss the diesel from honda. Refinement was the only issue. Reliable as Honda will ever be.
I got 2nd hand 3rd gen City 8 months ago. Car was maintained very well by the first owner. No rusting issues or rattelling noise. Maybe because it has lots of imported stuffs. Even door mat and sun block are imported.
@raksi004 usually imported parts had better QC at that time. For example Ninja 300, when they started using Indian suppliers the quality diminished compared to what it used to be.
Boss, that's a big list. City was one of my favorite cars, but never expected such a list from it. Rusting engine block? Planned for City as an upgrade but after seeing this video I think either I should go for a brand new one or go for some other brand if it is seconds. My god, the list of items u specified are costly to replace. good to maintain distance from this one!
As a honda owner since ages I can assure, none of these issues have occurred to me or anyone I know with a honda, the DTEC problems he had mentioned, we have a WRV 2016, so far we have completed 153000 kms no issues at all. Go for a well maintained city or any honda for that matter, you will not regret
As I said in the video, the problems are the exception not the norm. Not every City diesel has problems, nor do they all rust. The point of the guide is to look out for issues that others have faced. Not to discourage you from buying one
AC on our 2014 VX CVT remained ineffective since new. Eventually the compressor failed after 5 years. It used to cool a little only when the car was moving but no cooling when standstill. Finally replacing the compressor fixed it but it was no match compared to our Brio, Cedia and other cars at home. Private AC mechanics told that it's an inherent issue with all 4th gen Citys. Infact, the same issue was there in my cousin's 2015 City Diesel as well. Another issue is bad seating posture in this car by design. I always have back pain even on a short ride but never faced this problem in our other cars. Ride quality is very poor and harsh. Rear end gets unsettled on expressways that you can't drive beyond 90kmph. Our Mitsubishi Cedia rides way better on the same roads.
We have the idtec in the Amaze and the engine has been very reliable so far. We have driven it close to 90K. Clutch repair happened just a 1000km or so ago. But it was still just around 10K INR in cost. My dad drives it pretty hard. The performance is excellent, he gets 21-22 kmpl mileage even after driving hard in a mix of city and highway. This is overall favorite car, but he loves his 2015 City Petrol as well. He only gets 12 with that. When I drive the City, I can get around 14-15. I imagine I’d easily get 25-26 with the Amaze. It’s a great car and very easy to drive.
I have a 2012 Honda Brio i-VTEC. It's covered 2 lakh kilometers. Only the suspension and steering rack were replaced at 1.5 lakh kilometers; otherwise, it gets regular servicing every 10,000 kilometers. The engine is awesome, and the mileage is great too-over 18 km/l.
Is Citroen c3 with its wet belt timing system more reliable than Amaze? I was of the impression that Amaze is the most reliable car in its price. My other options are i10,i20. Pls advice anyone?
