    Chris Paul, known as "CP3," is one of the most accomplished point guards in NBA history. His career, marked by exceptional court vision, precision passing, and defensive prowess, has earned him numerous All-Star selections and All-NBA honors. Paul’s leadership has been a critical asset to every team he’s played for, guiding young talents and elevating team play. Despite his relatively smaller stature, his competitiveness and basketball IQ have made him a standout. His recent stints with the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors have further solidified his legacy, as he continues to chase the elusive NBA championship.
    Paul George, often referred to as "PG13," is a versatile forward known for his two-way play, combining offensive firepower with elite defensive skills. George’s ability to score from anywhere on the court, coupled with his defensive acumen, has made him a perennial All-Star and a key player for the Los Angeles Clippers. His journey from a devastating leg injury to reclaiming his status as one of the league’s top players is a testament to his resilience and work ethic. George’s contributions are vital in the Clippers' quest for their first NBA championship.
    Deni Avdija, the Israeli forward, has shown promise with his versatility and basketball IQ since being drafted by the Washington Wizards. Known for his playmaking abilities and defensive potential, Avdija brings a unique skill set to the court. His international experience before joining the NBA has helped him adapt quickly, showcasing flashes of brilliance in various aspects of the game. As he continues to develop, Avdija is expected to play a significant role in the Wizards' future, contributing both as a scorer and a facilitator.
    Alex Caruso has become a fan favorite and a valuable player in the NBA, known for his tenacious defense, hustle, and high basketball IQ. Initially making a name for himself with the Los Angeles Lakers, Caruso’s contributions were pivotal in their 2020 championship run. His ability to disrupt opponents' offenses and provide energy off the bench has made him a key asset for the Chicago Bulls. Caruso’s unselfish play and relentless effort exemplify the qualities of an ideal role player in the league.
    Isaiah Hartenstein, a skilled center, has steadily made a name for himself with his efficient scoring, rebounding, and shot-blocking abilities. His time with the New York Knicks has highlighted his potential as a reliable big man, capable of impacting the game on both ends of the floor. Hartenstein’s versatility allows him to fit various roles, from providing a strong interior presence to stretching the floor with his shooting. As he continues to grow, he is poised to become a more significant contributor in the Knicks' rotation.
    Klay Thompson, one of the greatest shooters in NBA history, is renowned for his quick release and incredible accuracy from beyond the arc. A key member of the Golden State Warriors’ dynasty, Thompson’s shooting prowess and defensive capabilities have earned him multiple All-Star selections and championships. Despite suffering significant injuries, his return to the court has been marked by remarkable performances, showcasing his resilience and dedication.
    Dejounte Murray has emerged as a dynamic guard known for his defensive excellence and versatile offensive game. His tenure with the San Antonio Spurs and now the Atlanta Hawks has seen him develop into a well-rounded player, capable of scoring, rebounding, and facilitating. Murray’s length and quickness make him a formidable defender, often guarding the opposing team’s best perimeter players.
    Mikal Bridges is celebrated for his defensive tenacity and ability to guard multiple positions, making him a cornerstone of the Brooklyn Nets. His offensive game, characterized by efficient shooting and smart cutting, complements his defensive prowess. Bridges' versatility and work ethic have made him a critical piece in the Nets' lineup, contributing significantly to their success.
    De'Anthony Melton is a versatile guard known for his defensive acumen and ability to contribute across the stat sheet. His time with the Philadelphia 76ers has highlighted his knack for making impactful plays, whether through steals, assists, or timely scoring. Melton’s energy and defensive intensity make him a valuable asset off the bench, providing a spark and often changing the momentum of games.
    Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, commonly known as KCP, is a reliable 3-and-D player who has been a crucial contributor to the Denver Nuggets' success. His ability to hit clutch three-pointers and play staunch perimeter defense has made him an integral part of championship-contending teams. Caldwell-Pope's experience and consistency, especially during key moments, have been vital in both his previous championship run with the Lakers and his current role with the Nuggets. His professionalism and steady performance continue to make him a valuable player in the NBA.

    Dejounte Murray had basically the same statistical season as Paul George. He had more assists than Paul George who had more rebounds but otherwise it was pretty close. People don't perceive things like that but Dejounte Murray is an underpay these days.

    Spurs fan here, I think CP is a perfect fit! 1. He went to Wake Forest like Timmy D and has a longtime relationship with spurs family. 2. We're still tryna suck and his 1 year deal is a perfect timeline to establish this year for development while getting Chris plenty of minutes without pressure to win. 3. I'm just speculating, but after Chris' last few situations, maybe Chris values playing time and locker room vibes over contention. Contention is stressful af and Chris is known for breaking down physically under pressure. Here, we're def gonna value his mentorship; he might get honorary credit for a future chip if Stephon and Wemby develop significantly this year 😄
    To me, this is kind of a basketball bucket list move from Chris and way classier than ring chasing. He's boutta set up the next spurs dynasty 😁

    "I don't know why you'd sign a deal with a team thats not trying to win." I dont think you understand how aging can change a player's values. Chris Paul tried so many times to get a chip and it just never went his way. I think at a certain point you have to reevaluate what you want your legacy to be. perhaps mentoring and bringing to fruition the greatest prospect in sports history is more valuable to him than bench warming a championship team for a consolation ring. It's a win win for spurs and CP3 but you wouldn't understand that, would you? you just worried about numbers and Vegas. Well here's a bet for you- Spurs will go to playoffs next season because they actually are trying to win. Wemby wants playoff experience and once he gets a taste of playoff ball, hes gonna want more. So they'll trade their future picks to give him whatever he wants and rob dilligham won't even be an afterthought. Wolves are already imploding, spurs know it so they fleeced 'em to secure a championship 3 years down the road. idk I just disagree with your take.

    • @whatshorts
      @whatshorts  19 днів тому

    13:39 From someone who watched Klay’s warriors career beginning to end , his defense is about 35% of what it was in 2019, He plays okay off ball defense and still is great at switching, but on ball he is just a constant negative, he was never a great athlete to begin with but he has just lost so much athleticism that his footwork just can’t compensate, which resulted in so many damn possessions where Klay would get annihilated off the dribble and other players would have to make super late switches.
    Also I don’t understand why nobody mentioned his on the court antics, there were a ton of possessions this season where after a missed shot he would give up on defense or give minimal effort, which I get your frustrated with your team but that’s super lame to do.

    • @whatshorts

    what makes you think lebron is deluding himself into believing the lakers have a chance at winning another chip? Obviously they're not a favorite, but they had the second best record after boston post trade deadline last season. I really think people underestimate how much chaos Ham injected into that team by changing the lineup and rotations nearly every single game. I mean starting in february they went 24-9 for the rest of the season, and then looked considerably better against their worst matchup than they had the year before. I don't get why people don't think they're a great team with some issues and instead talk about them like a complete sinking ship.

    Kind of tragic the bulls turned Caruso and Derozan into Giddey, Duarte, and 2 2nds lmao. Lord knows vuc wont get them anything

    Alex Caruso is so underpaid compared to Isaiah hartenstein. He is definitively the better player but he's getting 20 million less per season.

      Caruso will get an extension for more money.

    Great video thanks. First of all, everyone is falling all over themselves praising Presti for that IH deal so thanks for being one of the few to call them out on it, are you shitting me on that money?!? I don't care that year three is an option year, paying 2yrs/60 mil for a career backup CENTER?!? It's a ludicrous move and with the shitload of draft picks they have could have found a better player for trade much cheaper. Also regarding Deni, it was obvious from his press conference that he did not ask to be traded...at all. He seemed very shocked that WAS traded him. It is indeed a great get for Portland with 4yrs/55 mil for a legit 23 ye old starter.

    • @whatshorts
      @whatshorts  16 днів тому +1

      I didn't realize the last year was a team option on that IH deal. I don't mind it so much then. Someone else brought that up about Deni. I figured he'd want to get out of Washington.

    will Avdija fix the bad basketball in Portland? Or did the Blazers GM sneak in budget cuts to fix his luxury tax problems? The Blazers dumped picks #14, 32, 40 for cash considerations this summer.

      Were they in the tax?

    • @metal--babble346
      @metal--babble346 16 днів тому

      Yes. the Blazers built a luxury tax team. Portland finished in last place. The owner was probably pissed. Selling 3 draft picks was probably a financial decision.

    Isaiah hartenstein scored only 7 1/2 more points last season than I did. That's a massive overpay but at least it's a two or three-year deal and they can maybe develop a college guy to be their big dude with Chet.😊

      i don’t think Hartenstien’s impact on the knicks this year was in his scoring/stats sheet. he plays more of a facilitator role and allowed brunson to shine with great screening and extra rebounds. i also think that the league is in super high demand of athletic bigs, and he is a stellar one

    • @bookaufman9643
      @bookaufman9643 18 днів тому +1

      @@angozzie I don't think that you could call Isaiah a stellar big man but a decent big man in and offseason where there weren't a lot of them to be had. I'm not trying to be critical just realistic.
