Thanks for watching! - Наука та технологія
Had been toying with the idea of adding one of these to my kit for a good while. I have now taken the plunge and invested after seeing this video. I could have got a 360 degree variant but for the amount I use it the cost didn’t’ warrant the outlay. This one is plenty good for my needs. Nice video Jordan keep them coming. 👍🏻
Awesome thanks!
Looked at that Dewalt, but went with the Bosch GCL 2-15 G,as it also has two centred red plumb points which are projected onto floors and ceilings.
Also have a Imex LX22G Cross Line Green laser level, which I lost during a workshop move, then found again after getting the Bosch.
@Ellis The DJ Same happend with my Bosch laser measure, misplaced it, so bought a Leica Disto D2 BT, (brilliant tool) then last week having a clear out I found the Bosch which had been lost 8 years earlier.
Noticed when you pointed it downwards it didn't try to level itself vertically. I mean it projected the laser downwards onto the table/floor. If it has that option, would come in handy for laying flooring square (without having to upgrade to the more expensive 3-4 beam models)
you make such detailed video's, good work
Glad you like them!
Got a question about the DWO88CG --- Is it easy to use for putting lines on the ceiling ? -- Or would I really need a 3D Laser Level for that ? Enjoyed your video.
Can you use this for installing ceiling lights ? As I did have one (Bosch) only for one week and was stolen before I got to use it.
Graeme
One thing I would point out is that this model does not have a pendulum lock - something that's become fairly common even on entry level units. My old DeWalt DW087 is the predecessor to this (2 generations ago, but the design is unchanged) and after 15 years of job site use and being transported in the van, it's no longer within the specified accuracy (1/8 inch over 30 feet). I'm not sure if this occurred suddenly or over a period of time, but I'd think twice about buying a laser level without a pendulum lock.
When would I use the lock ??
Thinking about buying my first laser
@@boyasaka Any time you're not actively using the laser. It prevents the lock from moving and potentially getting damaged during transport. On lasers that allow the laser to be on while the, pendulum is locked, you can also use it to create a line that's not horizontal or vertical.
@@Unc1eMike cheers for that
I’m only a diy,er not a pro
Got a full bathroom rip out abs install to do so was thinking of a. Budget 360 one
Lol 15 years. My bosch with pendulum lock and box....after 5 years In van transport is gone! Before I have a wurth 360 one drop it was enough to decalibrate.
I bought a Stanley Cube laser, its red, but not very visible in daylight. Will def buy a green laser next time.Great for kitchen sockets alignment :-)
same here but can't see it in daylight, think I'll get one of these too
Does this project a vertical line from the floor and on the ceiling? I’m a little stumped as to whats what. Thanks
Hi my friend, thanks for the video. What is the difference between the green laser and the red laser is it just the colour
How were you adjusting the vertical line from right to left?
I've got the same laser that i hardly used and now its suddenly stopped working. i changed the batteries etc but nothing helps. any tips?
You review has been very helpful, not so helpful you release it the same month my road tax is due for renewal but I trust your opinion and I’ll be investing in one of those in the near future.
Glad it was helpful!
How do you open the battery compartment?
Would you used this for ceiling grid
I just purchased a used one! It wont self level on flat surfaces! Keeps blinking on the horizontal and vertical!
So curious question first time using my new laser. I was in a warehouse and had to run EMT pipe about 15 feet up on a wall and needed it straight across. could not figure out any way to get the laser up that high. There was really nothing to mount it to 15 feet in the air.is there a bracket that you can use to tilt the laser if you need to adjust it for height? Thanks
If it doesn’t have an adjustable bracket it’s pretty useless for horizontal lines because you would have to have it exactly the same height that you want the line. i’m new to using one I need help. Thanks again
Buy the 10.8v rechargeable version....I have one of these and it eats batteries for breakfast....then at lunchtime! It’s worth the extra investment
Pb plumber sold me a stanbila LAX50G 😍😍😍
Should have spent a little extra and got the 360 one. Hell of a laser!!
I find by removing one battery makes them last longer when not in use. Seems to drain batteries when in storage.
Interesting thanks
I had the same problem with my DeWalt DW087, and my current Klien 93LCLG (which appears to be a re-branded DeWalt)
Can you mark sloping horizontal line with it?
I just purchased the DW08802cg and there is no instruction manual. I went to the Dewalt site and attempted to get the manual without any success. I am going to use the tool to hang a couple of cabinets and then return it to HD because I received the tool missing an item. (Unless a Dewalt rep reads this and contacts me)
Ok kid
Being old school, thought you shouldn't move it while it's on?
That’s the first rule I was taught when I entered the trades. Never move a laser level while it’s on.
But remember this guy’s a sparky
@@giovannymb4959 how do you put the laser line on the wall at the position you require it if you can’t move it when it’s on ?
I mean you want a line 1m off the ground , you set up laser and it’s not at correct hight , be on all day turning it off moving it turning it on over and over until your line is exact
( I’ve never used a laser before but wanna buy one
Great video
Thanks!
Bought one brand new and its not working any ideas on why.
I came here for this comment. Did you take back or what was the outcome? Mine won't turn on
Dewalt case feels cheaper comparing to Milwaukee line lasers cases actually
no doubt this is a very informative post, but before posting (whoever they are) ought to replay and check the audio, making sure it is audible,
Saved myself £50 by buying a camera tripod on gumtree. Just a thought.
Yeah good point!
It's what I also use. Also look at a plasterboard/drywall support prop,I use Bessey ST290 telescopic drywall support, extends to 2.9mtrs , it's great for clamping laser to for certian jobs where tripod is too awkward to use.www.toolstoreuk.co.uk/bessey-st290-telescopic-drywall-support-st-2900/p7886
The big question how bright is it outside and you failed in your review to demonstrate that. You covered everything but what we really want to know
It’s great in shade
If it’s bright sunshine still faint but I usually create a shadow and it’s good for 10m
If you need they sell a laser finder thing. It beeps when you hit the laser and tells you to go up or down to get spot on (but it’s quite expensive)
Rumbling too long over battery's and stuf that doesn't matter
What is it with the uploaders NOT knowing the volume control ???
I just got new yesterday like this laser and all what I can say it's SHIT!!! off of level my old Bosh gll 2-45 way better then this dewalt
How do you get the battery compartment open?
