I am 75 for about a year and a half, I have been ketovore. I quit eating seed oils and will only eat non root vegetables once or twice a week. I only eat 2 meals a day noon and 6 pm. I lost 65 lbs, got off my metformin. Makes a world of difference. I decided the only thing I could control was what put in my mouth. Congratulations on doing what works for you.
I have been considering carnivore. Would you do a “what I eat in a day”? And, how much have you lost to date? I’m thankful with you that you were able to add coffee back to your mornings!
I make my own Italian bread, and LOVE it with peanut butter. I haven’t had a piece X 17 weeks, March 6, 2023, is when we changed the way we eat. We quit eating all carbs, except a serving of brown rice or oatmeal a day. We supplement our fasting with electrolytes, and we DO drink a ton of water a day! Since beginning, my hubby and I have each lost 55 pounds so that’s 3.25 pounds EVERY WEEK! We have found fasting in the key. We change it up frequently, to keep our bodies guessing, and my hubby’s (he’s a type 2 diabetic), his blood sugar has gone down from 9 in January to 5.5 a couple of weeks ago. Neither of us even look like we are the same people, and we are thrilled with our progress! I can tell you one thing for absolute sure … this IS our new life, and we are NEVER going back to our old way of eating. IF you want to be healthy, and you want to stay healthy, at some point you have to own that eating crap is going to kill you, one way or the other. Good luck! ❤️❤️❤️
I've been eating Conovor for a while now ... I'm shocked at how my body has changed and so many things like kidney pain, joint pain, gerd, skin rashes, GONE ... it's completely amazing the difference... no going back for me, I love being pain free ‼️‼️‼️ 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Hello Neighbor! I live in Mountain Home Arkansas. My husband and I have been carnivore since January 12th. He's lost 60lbs and I've lost 25lb. We also use the mineral drops from Keto chow (the one that Dr. Berry helped develop) I'm glad you're sharing your story, you're helping alot of people. Love your Chanel.
I did a carnivore diet after watch some UA-camrs who had great results. Not about the weight but pain and mental health. ABSOLUTELY FEEL AMAZING. I still haven’t told people even after months. Well now I guess i have. Really works, and basically can be an elimination diet. Add a green vegetable now and then if it doesn’t change how you fee. Also got blood work and it was improved and excellent. Go Constance. I just don’t want to hear people say, but……
Thanks for your testimony. Hubs and I want to try and are hoping for the best! This is going to be quite the challenge for me anyway as I not a lover anything meat/chicken/fish etc 😳
I'm carnivore and 68. I've lost weight and arthritis pain. All the inflammation is gone. My BP is 118/74. That's my experience. So grateful. Bless you on your journey.
Girl!!! The tick bites freak me out. You make me wanna get Guinea Hens again! The pain sounds awful! Well you look amazing!!!! And I love and adore you and so thankful for our friendship. You are such an inspiration to me, and I thank the Lord for our friendship, sis! ❤💋🙏🏻
We have done keto off and on. Have been heavily researching carnivore and starting officially tomorrow. Would LOVE to see what you are eating daily that works for you! Also excited to see all of the people responding who are on this journey as well!!
As always thank you! So glad you are feeling better! Your Honesty shines through every video! You are so trusting & loving in all your videos. Thank you for caring about your audience & giving us this information!❤️🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
I had attributed your weight loss had to do with all that hard work getting your homestead ready for your animals. I’m glad you’re feeling better. One day at a time.❤😘🙏🏻✨
I can’t believe your subject today. I have been thinking of doing carnivore. I started watching Dr Ken Berry andI was amazed at his results. I didn’t need it so much for weight loss or gut issues but I have terrible pain from neuropathy. I had decided it wasn’t for nerve issues and then one day Dr Berry brought up neuropathy and how carnivore would help. I talked to my pain Dr. Last week and he was very familiar with it. His thought is that it would be worth trying. The results happen quickly so you’re not waiting forever. When you said carnivore today I about fainted. Thanks Constance.
I went on keto over a year ago and lost 73 lbs. Most of my pain had left and I felt great. I haven't been following it strictly lately and the pain is sneaking back in. I've got to get back on keto for sure. I love bread and sweets too. I totally understand where you're coming from. I've also started using Celtic salt because it has all the minerals normal salt doesn't have including potassium and magnesium.
Oh, wow, Sister, you've sure been through the wringer! Thanks for being so open and honest, with us and with yourself. It takes courage to step out and try things in search of feeling better, and being able to be aware of which things contribute to bad/worse and good/better. A lot of self-discipline. Prayers as you continue your journey toward healing and fulltime great health. ❤
I am happy that you found out what was causing your pain... it sounds like to me that you are gluten sensitive and that means 0 grains! no oats rice or corn. I found out i was from reading Dr osborns book no grain no pain. Now i have no pain and have lost weight also, Everyone is different and I am glad you have found out what works for you.
After being on diets, I finally figured out you won't stay on one for life. It's just how it is. After starting to eat the same foods I had always eaten, only smaller portions, I got the weight off and it stayed off. If you eat and wait approximately 20 minutes, you will feel full. Also, by eating what you normally eat, you don't have to feel guilty at holidays for eating the food. But again, small portions was the key.
Oh, you live in a beautiful area of AR. My ancesters liked in that area since the Trail of Tears came through there. Simply love this area, the energy was so calm and peaceful when I visited a few years ago. May your health continue to improve.
Hi 👋, from a Navy Brat far ...from home - in Alabama.😊 I've lived here now the past 24 yrs - who'd a thunk it, life in one spot?🤯😆 You are such an inspiration to me and I love your content! It's just fantastic that you've found such relief, with this way of eating - it's good to hear. May you continue to be blessed, Alabama.
Hi there! I am simply taking magnesium and potassium citrate, normal over the counter. Though I get most of my supplements from Puritan's pride. www.puritan.com/
Good for you Constance. I'm 75 and have so many issues but don't know anything about this diet, I'll have to talk to my doctors about it. I'm so glad it worked for you. Stay well and safe.
Please do your own research. Your doctors will not be on board and most go off the SAD way of thinking. (Standard American Diet). I have Insulin Resistance and the only way I can keep my blood sugar normal is to eat ketovore and carnivore. But my doctor wanted to put me on medication. We Can heal our bodies with food!
I hear you. I found a wonderful physician here on YT who opened my world to intermittent fasting and OMAD. I felt amazing. Weight was dropping off, sleep was improved, I had energy again but I had to stop to take an antibiotic for the dentist. I'm struggling to get back into my routine. Our bodies haven't had time to adjust to today's modern diet and it's killing us.
I'm the same way. I want to find a natural medicine to treat everything. I do have a Dr. that doesn't mind the natural way. But for me, like with you, eating right and losing weight has been the way to make me well and feel so much better. You look great. Thanks for sharing what is going on with you. ❤
Awesome! My husband and I have been doing carnivore/ketovore for about a year now. He lost about 30lbs and got back down to his fighting weight. I've lost about 40lbs (still have a lot to go), but my chronic health issues have improved a lot as well! I feel so much better! Some days I only eat animal products, other days I may have a little bit of carb like fermented veggies or a few berries. I try to time those days to my cycle when progesterone is higher. Really great book to read is Fasting Like A Girl by Dr. Mindy Pelz. She teaches how to eat and fast to your menstrual cycle and how it affects your hormones. Not only does eating this way help get rid of inflammation, I think it really helps with sugar/carb cravings too. I love watching Dr. Berry's videos and Maria Emmerich's books/videos are amazing too! :) I think if you stay somewhere on the keto spectrum, your body will be happy. You can always cycle up or down (between Keto - Carnivore) depending on how you feel and any symptoms that may pop up. God Bless!
My hubs and did Keto, what you might call Keto because we didn't do macros and such. We both lost about 100 lbs the first year. After that, hubs started Carnavore which was more like KetoVore, he'd have vegetables once in awhile. We went to some function with lots of homemade foods and "fell of the wagon" big time. The biggest thing was the carbs; basically anything white (bread, potatoes, rice, etc). Although we really didn't gain as much back as we thought we did, we fell like crap (both have autoimmune problems). I think you've convinced me, its time to get back to feeling good again! Thanks for the encouragement and I'm glad you're doing and looking great too! Blessings 🥰
I started keto 2 yrs ago switched to carnivore n lost 60lbs. Got off of several medications etc. Had a colon issue n yes i was dehydrated n now i eat salt. I take potassium n magnesium that keeps me going 😊 i eat fermented food daily for the gut. I cant do dairy or gluten. My gut says no. i garden n sneak in green every now n then, arthritis pain n inflamation gone. My problem is the chemicals going into the meat now 😮. I travel hrs to a farm store for thier unvacced meat!! Glad you found relief n health..
Hi Constance, I'm from t' UK it appears I've been experiencing inflammation and did t' Carnivore last year. Felt like a brand new person until I started adding sugar n carbs (feasts, '' Go on a few slices of cake won't hurt''😮💨)and am flaring up, so am endeavouring to get back on t' carnivore. Also, coconut water helps with high blood pressure. Hope everything works out for you ask Abba. Shalom.
My diet of choice is a food combining diet. Separating carbs from fats & proteins. Very good for weight loss, diabetics, high blood pressure & other issues. AMAZING!!
I have heard of various diets that do help a person's body reset itself so that it gets very healthy. I am happy for you that you have found a diet that helps you be and feel healthy again. Thank you for sharing your journey.
We are low carb with a focus on carnivore, intermittent fasting and TMAD (two meals a day). It has turned our health around 100%. Luckily my Doc is open to this and finds it fascinating even though her education was in "sick care" "here's a pill for that" medicine.
I've been loosing 5 lbs a month Total last month 30 pounds + It's not difficult and I feel better ! My clothes are baggy and am cleaning my closet for the thrift store donation ! Less is more 🙏
I started eating according to my blood type. I'm type O. So I purchased the cookbook with so many meal plans and also noticed many of the things I was eating were not on my list. The first couple weeks I felt so much better and noticed that I was losing inches. Basically no wheat, milk products and selective meats. That's fine with me. I already drink purified water, Almond milk and beef. The problem is that my local markets don't have the selection nor the products I was able to get in our former city. (North to South)
Ref to the coffee, I find if I buy organic coffee beans & grind it myself, I have NO stomach issues. If I drink pre-ground Folgers, Maxwell House, etc., it tears my stomach apart.
I have drank organic coffee for many years. I tried a variety, trying to find ones that didn't hurt me. So I am glad I've reached the point where I can enjoy a little again :)
I’ve been carnivore for close to a year. My joint pain is so much better. And if I have do have even a few bites of anything gluten, my joints start to hurt within an hour. I’ll be 61 in a couple of months and feel better than I have in years.
I have been Ketovore for over 10 years. I lost 225 pounds. My husband is type 2 diabetic and he was miserable. 6 years ago he went Ketovore as well. He is off his diabetes meds, his blood pressure meds, thyroid meds, he lost his 40 pounds and feels much better, his kidney damage completely reversed. We cut out seed oils about 4 years ago, and we both noticed fewer aches and pains.
I've been learning about carnivore eating plan and I am leaning more toward this eating plan. One cup of coffee is all I get as well. lol Carnivore from all my research does heal the body. Add good carb veggies slowly.
I started keto at the end of 2019. Then … the thing… and just went back to S.A.D. Eating. All the weight came back along with the headaches. Been looking at keto / carnivore
we were told to find a dr in a new place ask your previous dr if he has any recommendations, or knows of any preferred doctors. My favorite tea, which I heard of from Whippoorwill Holler is Tetley British Blend. It is so mild yet bold and has the best taste. There is a coffee grown in Hawaii that is amazing. So glad you’re finding what your body needs to make you feel better. It is very hard!!
I started "Ketovore" on the 5th. It's a great diet. I have lost lots of weight (100 pounds) twice. I became pregnant after loosing alot of weight twice. Now, I'm having some health challenge and It's not an option for me. I must do this diet.
Constance my body is similar to yours in how it reacts to food. I also love bread. I don’t like most carbs but I do love bread. So I set about finding a bread I could eat that my gut liked and my autoimmune wasn’t triggered. I found I could eat Einkorn sourdough with no consequences. I don’t eat grains, starches, and the only legumes I can eat are English peas. I’m fine with most veg but not eggplant. I eat homegrown tomatoes in the summer but not store bought. So my diet basically is eggs, toast, big salad with lots of green veg, capers, tomatoes and some hard cheese. Supper is fish or beef and veg. I’m a tea drinker. Coffee tears me up. I did find if I wanted coffee it had to be organic because of all the chemicals they use to grow. I only eat organic anyway because of autoimmune disease. No flare ups or joint pain when I eat this way. BTW, my dairy is raw milk only products. It’s so wonderful to finally live pain free.
I’ve been doing a strict elimination diet since end of February… first two months very tight carnivore (red ruminant meats, very lil pork, butter & eggs). Now I eat the same but have added a lil veg that I’ve grown myself & rarely a tbsp of HWC in a recipe but no other dairy, etc. I’m down almost 30lbs in 4 mos. When I did keto I lost 80lbs in 3 years (lots of autoimmune issues). When I got off of it - even though eating organic- I gained back 50lbs so I still have to get 20 more off to get back to where I had gotten. And then 40 more to the ultimate goal. I didn’t realize how sensitive I am to ALL foods! 😩 I’m still struggling with joint pain but that could be something to do with my Graves Disease. 🤷🏻♀️ I think you are doing great! 💚
Great decision! Great electrolytes are LMNT. You can get a free sample pack to try. They are excellent and sweetened with stevia and can be used in water or coffee. I believe carnivore is a life saver. Just in case it helps with your blood pressure be mindful of feeling weird in case its going too low. All the best!
I did carnivore for about 6 months, but I have bougie adrenal glands, and they got really mad at me for not eating carbs. I had an adrenal crash and had to stop, and it has taken me about 2 years of health coaching to repair my metabolism. After doing gut testing and learning I have leaky gut, I understood why carnivore seemed to help with my inflammation. I basically had eliminated a lot of food that were problematic for me. My diet is now high in protein - actually higher than I was on carnivore cause I tended to be satisfied on fats and not eat enough protein, moderate in fats and carbs. I did enjoy eating carnivore cause it was highly tasty food, it kills any cravings for carbs, and keeps the blood sugar super steady, but unfortunately it just doesn’t work out for me long term. Prior to trying carnivore, I had tried a very strict Atkins, and I also had an adrenal crash. I have some factors in my life that can be highly stressful and my adrenals need carbs.
Thanks for sharing Constance. Anna over at Fermented Homestead is also doing carnivore diet I believe, and has had to deal a lot with working on gut issues. She may be a source of info possibly. =)
Hi Constance. last summer when It was very hot I felt just awful. Heat and I are not friends, but I saw an article On "Mary"s Nest" with a simple cheap recipe for electrolyte powder to add to your water. I made it up and added the 1/2 tsp. to my 4 cups of water. It has a little salty taste. I used the pink Himalayan salt, but I drank down the 4 cups. It was like life and the bad feelings went away, so I have been drinking that ever since. I have been eating low carb for awhile as I am diabetic and it is doing me good. I have lost about 15 lb., which I had held steady for 10 years since breast cancer and all the horrors of treatment. If just reading about keto and paleo and carnivore was enough I would blow away in a stiff breeze. I will have to do some serious life style changes as I am "morbidly obese."
May Go be near to you and bless you with wisdom from on high. Diet is a difficult problem. After I did a 21 day Daniel Fast with the youth in our church, I felt better than my norm, and realized it must be close to what was eaten in the garden of Eden. I read and re-read Daniel 1:12-16, prayed, did a Google search, and decided to keep going. I feel great, losing 3-5 lbs/month. I miss bread (no yeast allowed), and dairy, and sugar. So far I’m ok with the no bread etc. I was raised and have always been vegetarian, so no meat is not a problem for me. Most difficult for me is no dairy. I believe God has answers for each of us and our problems. Be still and know that He is God. Shalom.
Yes, we all have different body make-ups and physiology. What works for me, may not work for you, and vice versa. I am glad that you are having good results!
Amazing stories here as well as yours! Thanks for sharing. I staryed Healthy Keto with Intermittent fasting after watching Dr Bergs youtube videos. My brother had quadruple bypass. We have hereditary high bp and cholesterol. I had gained a lot of weight. And actually my brother told me about Dr Berg. Amazing. He expltje why behind keto etc. That was huge for me. Years ago I too did Paleo, heard all the bad about keto. Have had my own kidney stone joirney. I starywdbin April did a 30 day challenge extended it a few weeks. Feel so much better. Joints, clairity of mind, so many improvements. I jave added some stuff back in small portions but I think I need to go bavk as the yeast issue seems to be coming back. I will suggest giving his electrolytes a try. Lemon raspberry. Has everything in one. I didn't realize how much potassium you need! Again his videos are super good! Explains so much. And you dont have to do his program the videos are so educational! Great job!
I’m so glad you’re feeling better! I wish I could drink coffee. 😐 Good luck - glad you’ve found something that works. I have Type 1 Diabetes (insulin dependent, my pancreas quit making beta cells) and Hashimoto’s (hypothyroidism). Both autoimmune diseases. I keep waiting for more to hit me. I’m a carbivore- I could live on bread and potatoes- probably not good but I’m trying to gain a minimum of 20 lbs. - it’s so hard.
I've eaten this way for 22 years. (I'm 53 now) For those who say you can't do it long term - yes you can. I have metabolic syndrome (insulin resistant, hyperinsulinemic etc...). I lost 90 lbs and have kept it off for 21 years. I started way back when it was called Atkins and overall this way of eating has changed names so many times I can't keep track. Yes, each iteration has it's variations but overall they're similar. I've never had kidney or other related issues that naysayers are convinced I would develop. I feel healthy, I have much energy, and my seasonal allergies also all went away. Keep at it! As for doctors, I sought out a DO instead of a GP and he was very open and ok with my way of eating and aversion to meds. Life without sugar, bread, pasta, rice etc.... is doable and for me has been so worth it. Keep at it Candice!
Also I concur with the body reacting to certain foods. After all these years my body reacts the same exact way to carbs as it did 20 years ago (over production of insulin that is then stored as fat). I've found that my physiology is unforgiving in that way, but I have learned what foods are "borderline" for me. Certain things I can eat that maybe aren't ideal but don't cause sugar cravings or re-gain like some berries etc... In the last 5 years I reintroduced alcohol ( very dry red wine mostly) after 15 years of abstinence and I have experienced a slow (very slow) regain of about 6 lbs. It's something I'm mostly willing to live with but have to keep an eye on and limit to small amounts.
Girl I-am-there-with-you! I have been drinking coffee since I was 12. My dad made me start drinking coffee before school because I was falling asleep in my 1st period Civics class. I have had those stomach issues also. Mine is acid reflux! I find when I do intermittent fasting. Giving my gut time to heal. I had cut out dairy for about 4 years and the hardest thing to give up was cream for my coffee. Through trial and error I found an almond/coconut creamer by Califia. And I use organic stevia in the raw for sweetener. I stopped consuming raw milk and never went back to it. I have tried to put half and half in my coffee and I just can’t do it. Even the flavor seems foreign! But I have gone back to eating cheese and some sour cream and yogurt. I had some surgery on my face and was given an antibiotic that totally destroyed my digestion. For two years I tried to heal it naturally. All types of probiotic suggestions and foods. Nothing worked until I started eating cheese again! Speaking about minerals. Have you ever heard about Solé water? It’s loaded with about 70 minerals. Do a look up about the benefits. Pink salt soaked in water and a 1/4 tsp of that brine in a glass of water in the morning when you get up. So salty taste. It makes the water feel “smooth” as you drink it. I’ve been doing it regularly about a month now. It took me a while to commit to skipping my coffee first !
Thanks for sharing your health walk. Your eating plan has given me something to think about. As for doctors I have gotten to a point of not going to the doctor because they all seem to be on the same path of making money by putting people on drugs. I do think they have their place for traumatic situations like breaking a wrist. However, as a general rule I think that we need to learn to care for ourselves. Having said that I encourage you to look into one of the share health plans, where you pay a few hundred a month and share each others traumatic expenses. I think it saves me money in the long run and since I don't go to the regular doctors in general it works for me.That way my money goes towards other ways of caring for myself like my regular massages.
You might try the tea that has the coffee flavor. You can find it in speciality shops or online. Don’t remember what country this tea comes from. Keep up the good work taking care of yourself.
I’ve lost 67 pounds I feel so much better they have taken me off of 2 insulins two blood pressure medicines I’m down to once a week shot and one blood pressure tablet and I feel so much better I still have a long way to go I was a big girl still I am but I’m going for it
I have watched other you tube video people on homesteads and had health problems and stopped eating regular and healthy and went to carnivore diet and works for them.
I can so relate to what you are saying. I did not listen to my body and kept eating wheat, thought I would 24 hour ferment it, it retriggered my thyroid. I had over active thyroid, cured it after having been on meds, which I hated too…but once wheat was out of my system and I juiced to heal my gut. Mistake was not listening and went back to eating bread thinking the 24 hours got rid of the problem. I do think like you I have an autoimmunity based on my gut issues. I recently read from a doctor that those that have autoimmunity almost always have B12 deficiency from the destruction of partial cells in the gut. I also take digestive enzymes so I can eat a lot of salad and digest the meat I eat. I do not eat any grains, I do have potatoes, mostly cooled as the resistance starch is much better for our microbiome. God is healing his people. I can not drink coffee as after covid it triggered very high blood pressure. I have found that being struck in no sugar, no grains, lots of raw veggies, grass fed meat and lots of garlic help to manage my bp. There is no medial explanation to the high blood pressure. I think it is from covid which the spike protein attaches to nitric oxide in your blood stream casing the bp to rise. The garlic puts nitric oxide back in the blood stream. It is all about gut and mouth microbiome. Blessings on you sister.
I did the Carnivore diet. I need to get back on it. I quit taking shots and my A1C was 5. I'm sure it's back up and I have gained 15lbs back from my loss of 40 lbs. 😢
We do not eat processed or fast foods, no snacky carbs. I like the idea of paleo…. but we don’t have a good income, so beans and rice are a part of life.
I like your try it and see how your body responds approach to eating. Best wishes to you. And thanks for sharing your story. This type of video can be really helpful to those of us with similar issues. Gives us food for thought.
Hello! You may want to try hydrangea root for your kidney stone. My friend and brother gets them pretty often they started taking the root and have not had any more problems. The root softens the stones and they melt away. They are at Walmart and other health stores.
Thank you for sharing all this. Hubs and I have never dieted except for occasionally over the years needing to shed 10 or so lbs. But we are in our 70's now and are not doing our bodies any favors with our choices of food and drink these days. I've never been a meat/chicken/fish lover but he has. We have health issues that involve pain/immflamation, allergies etc. and have decided to try this carnivore diet. The problem is last docs visit I had she said my cholesterol was a bit high. My understanding is that meat/eggs raises that so a little discouraged out the gate. Also potassium could be a potential problem for both of us. Boy I need energy for all this research and it's tiring to think about even though that's what I love to do....learn stuff. Tfs, we are big fans/followers of you and your channel.
There have been many studies on diet & cholesterol. The studies show that it is more about genetics than what you eat. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6024687/
Nothing wrong at all about carnivore but adding some vegetables and berries after a while could be better over long term. More ketoish. These ways of eating definitely remove inflammation. I like using an electrolyte supplement. I use drops
It may be the gluten that is the problem. I had much the same experience when I gave up gluten. My PCP recommended that I give it up because I have Hashimoto's Thyroid disease. I wish you good luck.
Have you considered moringa? I too have familia BP and had to be put on two different meds for it after I tried everything else. Later discovered, after taking moringa for 3 months my doc took me off of bystolic and reduced my BP med to the lowest dosage. Also moringa is great for reducing to eliminating inflammation and pain. Incredibly it has all 9 aminos our stomach's need. Note: I never lost weight on it as reported by many, nor did it prevent brittle thin nails, dry skin, eyes or mouth. But what has is collagen. Live conscious, affordable if you have patience to wait for results, if not then there is expensive Modere "life". Incredibly fast for nails, skin and any aches n pains.
I took moringa for a long time. I didn't notice any difference in my BP. I did take it when I was paleo, so I'm not sure if it would have helped my joint pain or not.
@@CosmopolitanCornbread my MIL takes it for RA with good results but it does not help so much for OA. In my case I believe I was vegetable nutrient depleted, which may have been link for it working for me so well. I don't eat sweets either but I was chowing down on carrots, bananas and non dairy creamer, which equals to sugar, big time.
When you do start adding back other foods, what will you start with? I have been dieting for two years. It seems when I eat high carb I have problems with painful hip bursitis and recently had plantar fasciitis that came out of nowhere. I’m wondering if there is a connection.
One of the inflammatory issues I was having, included plantar fasciitis. I'll ease in a variety of vegetables. Eventually I am *hoping* I can do occasional long-fermented sourdough. But I'll take it one step at a time.
I feel exactly like you do about the medical community in general. Try to find a functional medical doctor in your area. They should be more open to your alternative treatments.
Would you please give examples of what you eat. As the day goes on I ache so bad and get tired. Was never like this was always active before all the crap started.
I'm just starting out with diet. Trying upping my protein and lowering my carbs. I just need to find a groove and stick with favorite foods/meal ideas. If you have any advice/ideas to share on the channel for cooking carnivore that would be helpful till I'm established. My bp is out of control; my dentist won't even do work on me. I think my weight is my biggest cause so I want to go that route first before medication.
I feel same way you do about doctors. All these pharmatucial drugs are so not good for ones bodies. I don't know if this works for everyone but I used life extensions magnesium/ potassium with extended release and was able to get off high blood pressure meds. The doctors had me on lostarn. Now I just take one potassium/ magnesium vitamin daily abd my blood sugars stayed normal. All our chemistries in each of our bodies react very differently though so I am not sure if it works as good for everybody.
What good tips about keto and supplements i wanted to add coffee tears my stomach up so bad but you know what helps me drinking homemade milk keifer as long as i drink some everyday it doesnt bother me. I would get the burning in my stomach so bad without it.
Constance, thanks so much for sharing. I’m in my 2nd month of carnivore to heal a leaky gut & hormone imbalance, among other other things like inflammation & IBS. I just cut out coffee too because it was tearing up my stomach. Like you, I thought it was the cream. I love coffee too, but I want a healthy gut more. I will probably add avocados, rich in potassium eventually, but I’ll never go back to gluten, sugar etc. I’m so glad you mentioned electrolytes, so important, especially how you work so hard in the heat❤️Also, so true about finding a doctor. It’s even harder now since 2020, because some don’t take the time to listen and/or want to do virtual visits. I’m old school & want to discuss things I researched & ask questions face to face.
I DON’T LIKE MEAT😢. Never have liked it. I need results in my weight. I can relate to being a ‘carbavore’. Menopause, Covid, Gerd in the last few years helped me pack 30 pounds on that I had lost with WW. WW is more concerned with profit than people anymore. No meetings for over 100 miles. Feeling helpless.
I need to do this as well. I did it for a couple of months a few years ago and felt better than I had as far back as I remember. BUT I just invested in so many things to make fresh milled flour and homemade bread. I wonder if it is less upsetting to ones system than commercial bread.
Do you have a trusted source of info. that you follow for your carnivore diet? My experience researching diets leads to differing opinions with understandable perspectives but not sure who's right. I would appreciate any info. you are willing to share. Love your videos! God bless!😊🌼
In the video description, I shared a youtube channel as well as a book that I found helpful. The book goes into the science and nutritional aspect of how carnivore effects the body.
Constance congratulations for taking control of your health this low carb life style is great for our health and well being. There's some good YT channels that are a wealth of knowledge and have help "normalize" this lifestyle : Loving it on keto Wendy makes a carnivore bread plus an array of easy recipes; Maria Emmerich breads, pastas, etc., in fact written many cook books; Victoria's Keto Kitchen has created several versions of flour for keto breads, deserts and keto version ingredients. Dr. Ken Berry great info keto/carnivore, his wife has Hashimoto and has it under control doing ketovoire and carnivore. Dr. Shawn Baker, MD leans more toward carnivore; Dr. Eric Westman low carb and a wealth of knowledge. As for products I also take KetoChow minerals, electrolytes, magnesium and their shake products I use them as an" ingredient" when preparing food and deserts. Redmond Life a great source for salts, electrolytes which is what I mainly get from them. I hope this will help you on your L C journey and I'm sure it will lead you to other sources to your liking. God Bless.
I’ve have “seriously” considered the carnivore diet & have researched a bit. QUESTION: would grinding your own wheat flour & fermenting sourdough bread dough, be able to be consumed in very small quantities???
I am considering doing that down the road, trying out long ferment bread. Sourdough that has fermented to the point where pretty much all the gluten has been eaten up. But I'm going to wait a while before trying it out.
WOW good for your! Keep up the good work.
I have been considering carnivore. Would you do a “what I eat in a day”? And, how much have you lost to date? I’m thankful with you that you were able to add coffee back to your mornings!
Yes, I will share some videos on what I eat.
Thank you 😊 Those are amazing results!
We also started this diet for inflammation issues with great results and the weight loss was a plus.
That's what I'll be looking for and less pain. The testimonies are just too much to ignore here!😄
Girl!!! The tick bites freak me out. You make me wanna get Guinea Hens again! The pain sounds awful! Well you look
amazing!!!! And I love and adore you and so thankful for our friendship. You are such an inspiration to me, and I thank the Lord for our friendship, sis! ❤💋🙏🏻
Thank you my friend. I hope you are swiftly healing from your surgery. I need to figure out when I can let the guineas start roaming ;)
I did the opposite. I stopped eating meat and my joint pain went away. I lost weight, too. Funny how everyone's bodies are so different.
Proud of your commitment to change your lifestyle. You’re looking great!
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much!!
I hope you have amazing results!
Glad it helped ease your pain. Pain is my issue + lack of energy. I'm hoping it will do for me what it is doing for you and the others here, Tfs 😀
I have been Carnivore (Lion Diet) for 3.5 years. Welcome to the crowd! I have almost cured all of my autoimmune eating this way. So happy for you!
I'm carnivore and 60. Still loosing weight! Arthritis is gone, I KNOW bone health is better. Various aches n pains and high blood pressure gone too!
That's wonderful!
For me it wasn't just about the weight, it was about the chronic pain.
I have been carnivore since January and what a great way to get back your health.
Oh, you live in a beautiful area of AR. My ancesters liked in that area since the Trail of Tears came through there. Simply love this area, the energy was so calm and peaceful when I visited a few years ago. May your health continue to improve.
Hi 👋, from a Navy Brat far ...from home - in Alabama.😊 I've lived here now the past 24 yrs - who'd a thunk it, life in one spot?🤯😆
You are such an inspiration to me and I love your content!
God Bless!
That's really good info thank you!
Thank you for sharing your journey.
I’ve been carnivore for close to a year. My joint pain is so much better. And if I have do have even a few bites of anything gluten, my joints start to hurt within an hour. I’ll be 61 in a couple of months and feel better than I have in years.
Blessings dear
I have been Ketovore for over 10 years. I lost 225 pounds. My husband is type 2 diabetic and he was miserable. 6 years ago he went Ketovore as well. He is off his diabetes meds, his blood pressure meds, thyroid meds, he lost his 40 pounds and feels much better, his kidney damage completely reversed. We cut out seed oils about 4 years ago, and we both noticed fewer aches and pains.
That is amazing!
Thank you so much for this information. I cannot eat wheat and feel good, so bread is out. You really have given me so much to look into.
we were told to find a dr in a new place ask your previous dr if he has any recommendations, or knows of any preferred doctors.
Same!!!! I am a self proclaimed “bread a holic” ! But bread does not like me either! You look great!
😊
Thanks for sharing.
LMNT is very good, tasty and works.
Love LMNT
Yes, that is one of the electrolyte mixes I use. I also like the Re-lyte from redmonds.
She is a good friend of mine. She's actually the first person I knew who did carnivore :)
@@CosmopolitanCornbread Too funny! I love her channel. There's quite a good collective group of channels here who are so supportive of each other.
My Dad had at least 30 kidney stones,he suffered with them constantly, until he started drinking fresh lemonade or the Minute Maid Frozen concentrate.
I do the sole water, it has helped me tremendously.
Constance not Candice 🤦🏻♀️ Yeesh. We have similar names. Haha. You'd think I'd remember it correctly. Mea Culpa!
I’m glad you’re feeling better.Thank you for sharing. I also have an issue with joint pain. Maybe I’ll give paleo a try. Great job Constance!!
You look amazing… btw every time I start one of your videos My bulldog goes nuts when he hears the rooster crow… lol!
Love that!
Roundup on the wheat .They spray it to dry it faster for harvest
There is a whole lot of mess sprayed on our foods. That's why I try to eat organic as much as possible.
We do not eat processed or fast foods, no snacky carbs. I like the idea of paleo…. but we don’t have a good income, so beans and rice are a part of life.
Electrolytes are a must for me! I have tried lots and my fav is LMNT.
I like those too! :)
I like your try it and see how your body responds approach to eating. Best wishes to you. And thanks for sharing your story. This type of video can be really helpful to those of us with similar issues. Gives us food for thought.
Coffee, oh how I understand the love of coffee!! Long gone are the days of a whole pot, I will be content to one cup!

Try a D.O. they tend to work more with natural and prescription
Redmond’s Real Salt is full of minerals & they have something called relyte that is a natural electrolyte..real salt doesn’t raise blood pressure..
Yes, I love their re-lyte mixes
Coffee did the same to me and like you I loved coffee. It hurts my stomach really bad I gave it up about 8 yrs ago.
i have had limes disease so I got to a point I couldn't turn my head.
That is awful! I have a friend who had undiagnosed LD for many years. She was nearly paralyzed from it.
Nothing wrong at all about carnivore but adding some vegetables and berries after a while could be better over long term. More ketoish. These ways of eating definitely remove inflammation. I like using an electrolyte supplement. I use drops
Thank you for sharing your journey. I think I’m most excited about that one cup of coffee ☕️. Bless your heart ❤
LOL, thank you!
@@CosmopolitanCornbread you’re welcome. I felt so bad for you but it seems to be a happy blessing. I love my coffee too
It may be the gluten that is the problem.
Please give us meal examples. Love your channel!
I will!
I love bread too that's why i eat Ezekiel bread, there's no flour in it
Mostly carnivore here too... autoimmune issues 😢
That is sad about WW. I don't have any experience with them, but have known people that used their program.
I need to do this as well. I did it for a couple of months a few years ago and felt better than I had as far back as I remember. BUT I just invested in so many things to make fresh milled flour and homemade bread. I wonder if it is less upsetting to ones system than commercial bread.
Bread has potassium bromide poison chemicals . It depends on flour used .
When I make bread, it is usually from home milled organic wheat. Any additional flour is also organic.
@@CosmopolitanCornbread Oh that's great, Thank you! My apologies for not checking there first. Much appreciated.
Ive been doing carnivore for a year. Im not gaining weight but i dont lose any either.
God Bless.
Thank you!
