I have a similar set up in 9mm bought it months ago have yet to shoot it or disassemble it ! Had no Idea about this maximum defense buffer/stock set up! Thanks for making this video!
Ha! It caught me off guard the first time I tore mine down as well. Good for you to share this info and your humility as well. When tearing down I find it easiest to pull the front pin, hold upper and lower together with the left hand at that front pin location, pinky lapped around the high wedge shape in the mag well. And then pop out the rear pin. Then your left hand is already wrapped around the hand guard for separating the upper/lower. For reassembly, similarly to what you did in the vid, the buffer and spring in the upper, and with barrel pointed a bit downward, I maneuver the lower and tube portion over the spring and into position. The left hand then holds them together same as disassembly. Pop in back pin then the front. Something else about the brace if you don’t already know. It’s designed to “rip” open. Get a good grip on the end of the brace and give a good tug and the brace will extend out without having to depress the button/lever. If you look at the left rail on the brace you’ll see the notches are vertical on the back side and slanted on the front allowing this to happen. With a little practice you can pull just enough to get it to your preferred notch each time. Enjoy!
I've heard in several examples that the brace is supposed to pull open the way you are describing. But mine doesn't let me do it. Maybe if I pull it really hard, but I'm still not willing to see if that works yet.
Thank Mike good info I build a AR Pistol with PDX CQB which is bit longer than SCS uses Mil-Spec BCG with a tiny buffer and spring it’s 11.5 so I don’t see myself using the scs might look funny on a 11.5.
You have the PCC brace not a ARP brace for rifle caliber. You have rifle caliber upper and pistol caliber brace, I don’t think it’s suppose to be like that. It’s just doesn’t make sense. Get the maxim defense ccs carbine length pdw brace with proper space for everything as normal
I just looked it up. The CQB Stock by Maxim Defense looks very similar, but a little longer. They say it works on all AR-15 models, and that you can use your existing bolt carrier group. This makes me think that it might Not fit on this Maxim PDX, because the size of the PDX is achieved by using their special bolt carrier group, which is smaller than a standard one. Short answer is, I really don't know if it will fit. Because of the bolt carrier group.
The maxim defense ccs pistol brace is able to use your existing buffer and spring along with your bcg that’s the only reason I would even purchase one of these things screw that patented system. Pretty funny though appreciate the info I’m sure if I didn’t see this I would’ve went through the exact same thing 🤣
I have a question why everyone buy high end rifle pistol with very short barrels? And if you have to use it then what? It’s in the evidence room for a while smh
I really already knew it but I don't know why I wasn't thinking about it at that moment. I had a few guns I was using that day and I think I was just pumped to test them all.

@@MikeWithTheGuns can the brace be removed fully from their patented system?
Leaving you with just the pistol and the buffer tube assembled?
It really took you 8min just to show us smh 🤦🏾♂️ lol thanks for video thoe for real
I was taking longer than I should have for this.
he keeps talking about how stupid he was.. that's why!

I am sure glad I bought the SB Tactical Brace …
I thought the maximum defense brace had the sling attachments on it I don't see that on yours.

Took you 19 hours to get that out……………………………… Come on bro
Thank you for your dots.
@@MikeWithTheGuns sorry my friend, I must have been frustrated that day!!
The CQB stock will not fit on this pdx?

Lmao😂 I was the same way. Thanks that helped a lot.
Glad I could help.

Because the barrel is so small also, I really like the brace to be as small as possible.
What trigger is that?
This is the stock trigger that came with it.
Totally understand more weapons less furniture 😂
Show us the whole system. With the buffer n Bcg
I will do that next time I have this thing open.
I did the same exact thing, when I installed this system on my new build I installed the buffer detent, it was a mess lol
I knew I wasn't the only one!
I just ordered this brace for my 5.56 build. It does come with the bolt carrier group as well to mate this system up right?
@@williamgates1128 yes sir
@@jonathannelson8663 awesome, much appreciated
@@williamgates1128 no problem man, it’s a great system, I think you’ll be pleased
