Blindfolded and dropped in a FOREIGN COUNTRY?! - Al Pepper Runs

- What's happening Scotland?! Last week saw Jamesy and I head to beautiful Edinburgh for the first foreign event on this channel!
Is there a better way to experience a city than being blindfolded, dropped 10 or 15 miles from the finish line and having to find your way back without any form of map or GPS?! I don't think so!

You’re very welcome!
Great video Al! Particularly amused that you say to your brother exactly what my wife says to our dog...."come on squidge "😂
Thanks Paul! Haha, I’ll tell him that!
1.28 in and omg i remember them steps lol
These blindfolded drop runs are totally mental. Looks like loads of fun. I hope I never do one or I’ll have to learn to live off the land….cos I’ll never find my way back.
Haha, that would make for an epic video though! Found six months after leaving the bus living in a makeshift hut just outside Penicuik!
Brilliant!
I’ll have to look and see if we have something like it here!🇨🇦
Thanks mate! Canada certainly has the scenery for it! Sounds great!
Best bit of this video is my brother running across the field
Brilliant! He flew across there didn’t he! Proper sense of adventure!
Great adventure Al loved it how we order the merch please.
Thanks Paul! I’ve got an online shop about ready, just need to take photos of the tees and sort a few other bits out! Won’t be long though!
Brilliant Al, great little adventure. Been tempted by the Newcastle Drop the last two years. Maybe this year 🤔👊🏻
Definitely, get signed up! It’s a lot of fun!
What a great day running, awesome video it was one of those runs I thought I had run quite far and then it said 8 miles on a road sign!!
Thanks mate. Haha, we were the same! I kept forgetting that it was 10 miles as the crow flies so would be longer in reality!
Enjoyed every step of the run and loved the whole weekend.
Thanks brother ✌️
The pleasure was all mine! Every bit of it was absolutely awesome!
As a local you picked a really good route
Thanks Elliot! Most of the credit has to go to Jamesy though!
Another fun vid Al. I think the route was too easy for locals. They should have been made to buddy up and run it as a three legged couple!
Thanks Mark and ha, that would have made it interesting! Yeah, I spoke to a couple of people who knew exactly where they were. There’s always going to be a few I reckon.
Awesome job guys, looked a good day for it!
Thanks Jono! It was a brilliant day! Lucky with the weather too!
So Peppers when it the merch available cause ive got to get some 💪🏼💪🏼
Very soon! Just need to finish the online shop and I’ll bring some to events too!
Another excellent video and I love the Merch .. especially ‘the winning number’ on the back. When is the ‘gin and tonic please’ (as quoted at all water stations) limited edition being released? 😂😂
Thanks mate! G&T will likely be the next release if this one does well!
Is James younger brother you should go up and film holyrood parkrun it's beautiful
He is indeed! And any opportunity to run in Scotland sounds good to me!
@@AlPepperRuns great video what position did you come
@@Clairewy not sure actually. I think we were doing pretty well until our detour!
What is a teller? (For those of us who do poorly with the King’s English). Or, maybe I shouldn’t ask?
What point in the video are you referring to?! I can’t remember what was said! It won’t be anything terrible though!
Told my dad about this race concept and his first reaction was confusion. Followed by, how do you find your way back blindfolded? 😂
Think my bro has signed us up for the summer newcastle one. Doing one in a city you don't know is on a whole different level though
Haha, doing the whole run blindfolded would be some challenge! Ah, that’s awesome that you’ve signed up! I need to pick a particularly tough city next time. One without any landmarks maybe?!
@AlPepperRuns you could try a few out and see just how lost you can really get ha. Maybe do one of the smaller locations
so basically what you're saying is that Smid is your achillies heel and you're better off without him?? Right? 🤣🤣
Haha, don’t tell him that! I’d be lost without my wingman! Al Pepper and Ultra Smid are a top combination!
@@AlPepperRuns it's ok, I can keep a secret! 😉🤣
Are you allowed to ask members of the public for directions?
Yeah! You’d think that would make it easy but it doesn’t somehow!
1.28 in and omg i remember them steps lol
Ha, they’re brilliant aren’t they! The Royal Mile is hill training in disguise!
