@34:00 What Pete says here applies to many things in life, especially regarding risk-taking. So many people want to protect themselves from downside risk, they cap the upside reward! People who can roll with the punches and keep getting back on the horse are coming out on top...

I would give anything in the world to be able to play rush and cash 200, and my dream is to one day play a 24-hour session on 200 and be first on the leaderboard

In the first hand I can definitely get behind folding 5x for exploitative reasons, but my thoughts were similar to villain possibly valuebetting 66/77 to get thin value from 22/3x/44/5x/etc.
Based on assumptions, I think it will be a bigger mistake to fold then to station as we face a river block in a wide range spot.
Also given the fact that villain went halfpot OTT is also an indication that his range might even be wider than anticipated.
Furthermore, good analysis from the both of you!

Carrot corner uses a lot of jargon, and often even if you fully understand what he is saying. It is a lot simpler for everyone to just say it like a layman would. Quite frustrating to listen to
interesting take! I think that is where he feels he’s able to express himself fully but if it doesn’t work for you then that’s fair

Funnily enough it’s amazing how much you get this in the world of finance. “Leverage” instead of “use”, “mark-to-market” instead of “fair value”. Sometimes even “capital” instead of “money” (admittedly “capital” means wealth in general” but often it’s used when referring to just plain old cash)
nah totally fair mate! I definitely try keep things more simple, mainly cus I don’t wanna confuse myself haha
