I use them for everything. Drift fishing rivers is awesome with baitcasters. I’ve been using any Garcia revoX baitcasters and spinning reels for years. Underrated. Breaking is great on them. Though the X series is 100 bucks and up. Hate to be the one, though abu Garcia makes better reels than lews, and lews makes better rods than abu Garcia. I mix the two. Great combo to mix.
My kids and I love watching your videos. My oldest is 13 and we have never used baitcasters. Think this one would be good enough to get started on and practice. Dont mind spending $300 later on once we learn to use one

Years ago I bought a $30 quantum spinning rod and reel combo. I beat the crap out of it and I have had it for 5 years with only damage to the handle (padding is coming off but I super glued it back on) it only broke when I took my friend fishing for his first time and he stepped on it

I have 2 medium action 6 ft 8 Ozark trail rods. Im7 blank,and I put a blackmax 6.4 to 1. On both. 1 I use 10lb fluorocarbon on one for plastics,and cranks or jerkbaits.the other I use 30lb braid to 12 lb floro liter for chatterbaits and lipless cranks. Landed 5lbers on both! Smoked em💥👍

Good video brother... someone looking not to spend much or trying to get into using baitcast reel fits the bill perfectly. The 1st thing I'd do is switch out the line with a better quality one then go fishing....its fully capable of landing good size bass. 🤙
