i do think bigkahuna did the right thing giving you more creative space on the woods and look. i feel the same way. give you an idea and some basic input on design, then, at least in my view, let Sweet T Guitars come up with the rest. you never disappoint when it comes to creativity.
Wow, considdering the choises of wood an laminates (and specially this amazing top)I am very curious how this guitar is gonna show. Bigkahuna will be a proud owner! I'm certain. Peace and love brother
That wood choice is gnarly, I can’t imagine how good it’s going to look when it’s finished. Looking forward to seeing the process, peace and love brother ✌️❤️
This thing will truly be unreal with those woods you chose! Yeah...we definitely had a journey to start, but I am super grateful on where we're at, brother!
As am I brother. We got there in the end and I knew we would. We're on this journey here together. Let's make sure we enjoy every moment. Thank you for the opportunity to build this thing man. ✌️&💙
This is going to be a monster!Really looking forward to seeing exactly where this is going. That gnarly burl looks incredible! A commissioned build! Yeah, baby!
I've refused them up until now so I could convince myself I'm capable of producing a quality guitar. I am comfortable in my abilities at this point so I'm really hopeful this turns into at least part of what I know it can be! I really appreciate the support! ✌️&💙
Wow, this thing is gonna be AWESOME... seriously, looking forward... I'm going to go find some popcorn... and a note pad! Thanks for teaching and sharing your passion!!
That has to be the prettiest fretboard choice ever. And the grain in the paduk looks about as straight as you can get. Every one of your builds is more incredible than the one before. But I can't take my eye off that tele.
Good lesson Todd. I've actually bought and built guitars that were my dream guitars of yester year. I realized that I really just needed to let go of the dream instruments in my mind because when I finally had them, their time had already passed for me! Money and technical stuff are nothing without inspiration and joy. Right on brother.
I just figure if I'm going to do this, I have to be inspired by it or there's really no need! I've started to look at guitars as works of art as much as anything. I like that! ✌️&💙
@@SweetTGuitars Definately with you on that! I think you just took the decision to make sure that you're art is your passion and your living is your living. They may intersect after all - but no worries if your priorities are in tact! Your vision is replacing the dream.
I'm the lucky one brother. Getting to do this for someone is really where this was meant to end up! Now it's time to focus and keep them going. I really appreciate your support my friend!✌️&💙
@@SweetTGuitars I just wish I had the money to comission you to build a guitar for me. My one and only stipulation for it would be that it would have to be a neck through. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe you have crafted a neck through before?!? I might just have to build one for myself. I have a wooden stair hand rail that was given to me by a very dear friend. He said that it came out of his parents previous house and it way more than 20 years old. I have no idea what type of wood it is but it's almost 4 meters long, 45mm wide and around 80mm tall. It's also quite heavy so I suspect it's a hard wood of some type.
Wahoo!! double upload day!! That top Gio sent is crazy... I know from our conversations that pick up combination had to be a lip biter for you to agree to. I think just as I did trying out the passive Sidewinders you recommended to me that you will be happy in the end.. Just remember when it comes time to set em up not to do like everyone else and set to a specific height. Find the sweet spot between clean and power. The build will be that much better for the little extra effort.
Another awesome build I can’t wait to see & go through this journey with you Todd 👍 You need to clone yourself as one episode a week ain’t enough for me lol 😅 You’re my favourite UA-camr I look forward watching & not just for your great builds but you’re amazing attention to detail on how you describe what & how you do everything plus your passion ❤
Wait a minute… I just watched the Ultimate Telecaster video and I may just be getting older… but in that build video I thought I heard you say that the next video would be the one we would see the painting etc… oh well, from what I see it looks great! Two in one day, this is a good day. 😊
The finish on the Tele will be the next video, in that series😁 I'm a busy boy these days brother! I'm so glad to be. Thank you for watching both videos!✌️&💙
Where do you get the energy?! A sustainiac is awesome. One of my first guitar mods ever was fitting a sustainiac into an Ibanez Jem 7VWH. Looking forward to see this one play out bro! Love the name, Qapla!!
Nice to see I'm not alone in my belief of the Klingon Homeworld😂 I got a dealer account with Sustainiac so I've got myself one too. I've played them before but this will be my first install. I am looking so forward to this. As far as the energy conundrum goes, if something doesn't feel like a job then it really doesn't take that much effort. I'm inspired brother, I can't seem to find my limit😂 ✌️&💙
Hey @bigkahuna. Even if Todd builds you a guitar, I was just watching a guitar swap meet random video and right at the beginning, there is a guitar maker that does classic car guitars. Might be worth checking out for on down the road. I get nothing out of it just the satisfaction of helping another guitar lover. Peace to you both. I will post the link under this, hope Todd doesn't mind.
Hey Bill, I appreciate you sharing that. To be honest, I don't feel that I will purchase any guitars after this, as I truly believe Todd's quality and attention-to-detail will not be matched by anyone, in my opinion.
Thank you brother. You know what we went through and I didn't feel the need to share it all! Just a summary of what it took to get us where we are now which is a good place to be!✌️&💙
Let’s gooooo!!!!
I'm on it! Coming soon!✌️&💙
Should be a killer looking guitar. I love using limba for the body! That has been my go to body wood on most of my builds. That fret board is amazing!
I absolutely agree with your desire and steadfastness to keep to your creative vision.
Wow, this is going to be a killer guitar. Congrats to you both on this milestone build. Looking forward to seeing this build.
