    Parippu Vada is a traditional evening snack of Kerala. It is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and is made with lentils and spices. Parippu Vada is a form of fritters made with lentils, usually chana dal (Bengal Gram or Split Chickpea Lentils) and toor dal(Split Pigeon Peas). These lentils are first soaked for a few hours, ground coarsely, and then mixed with finely chopped onions, ginger, green chilies, and curry leaves.
    Dal vada is healthy,
    and a number of essential Vitamins and minerals while Besan too is rich in fiber, protein and other nutrients, making this snack an incredibly healthy one.
    While vada can be high in calories and fat due to the deep-frying process, it is not necessarily considered a junk food. Junk food typically refers to foods that are high in calories, unhealthy fats, sugars, and low in nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, and fiber.
    It is loaded with essential vitamins and minerals along with fibre, healthy carbohydrates and fats needed by the body.
