- Federal border patrol agents say they can't access Shelby Park. The area stretches about 2.5 miles along the river, and federal agents say state law enforcement is stopping them from patrolling and launching boats into the Rio Grande.
I would imagine a better question for Texans may be , Why is the Federal government using a Texas State funded public city park to stage illegal alien processing and why would the Border Patrol need to utilize a State funded boat ramp at a City Park to access the River? Pretty lousy job by KSAT, why not ask some of the many Border Patrol agents or even the leadership of the Border Patrol union what their view or opinion is on the situation? I'm sure those people are grateful for the leadership of the Texas Governor. There is no need to patrol the land surrounding the State funded City Park, cant you see its been barb wired and fenced off? If you want to patrol the area do it from the water and you can use a helicopter to lower the boats into the water. Biden Criminal Administration just trying to flood Texas with illegal aliens to change Texas from a red state to a blue one.
Like they have been doing for 3 years now they Have here now 8 to 9 million of them , costing taxpayers billions a year to care for them , on all thier needs , it needs to stop , THANK YOU GOVERNOR ABBOT

I do not like being in conflict with the federal government. I wish it were not necessary to do, but as they will not defend the borders and enforce immigrational law in good faith, it is necessary for States to defend themselves.
Hopefully, it will force action from the federal government, and will enforce immigration law and provide security to the Citizens and States.

See the problem is there is a LAW that states anyone reaching a US border or soil is entitled to claim asylum. Look it up. These people are just abusing our asylum laws, they need to be changed. If Texas wants to offer assistance to federal border patrol, that's fine. If they want to kick out federal border patrol and take over, that's not OK. This is like the local neighborhood watch going to the police station and trying to kick out the police because they aren't satisfied. Texas should impound any federal vehicles operating on private or state property without written consent and proper monitary compensation for the use, and as well for any organizations and groups giving aid and comfort to anyone helping breaking the law, just like NYC is.

Texas has the right to protect it's citizens. Abbott has the right idea. This should have happened years ago. I live 2 hours north of Eagle Pass. My small town is experiencing increased crime and homelessness from the people illegally crossing through. American citizens who are homeless are fleeing San Antonio as they compete with illegal border crossers for food and health services. This has pushed them to less populated towns. Violence and break-ins are more frequent. As the economy changes, empty stores and empty homes have their windows broken in search of places to squat and strip.
So..in September 2023 the mayor of Eagle Pass is requesting releif from the illegal immigrants and now he gets help and he is pissed offf???? Something sure enough smells fishy about that mayor
