  • On Saturday 20 November 2021, the old North Staffordshire line saw a rare event in the shape of a railtour hauled by vintage English Electric traction.
    The Jolly Slateman, from Derby to Blaenau Ffestiniog was hauled by two class 20 locos, 20107 (D8107) and 200096 (D8096) with class 37 No. 37667 (D6851) on the rear.
    It is filmed here passing Longton station, being enjoyed by Steve and his grandson, the only other spectators here to see the train pass.

      @@staffordian yeah clun was spectacular on the lickey incline section because this is the first time ever for this loco to slugging it up the incline section
