BoCo and Derek are concerned for Oliver after a welder's torch frightens him. Oliver doesn't believe their concerns are genuine until the two diesels recount their own close encounters with scrap.

I laughed so hard when Toby was swearing saying this video is not meant for kids but as always great story man!
Not gonna lie, I'd never thought we get a character interaction between Oliver, BoCo, and Derek. I'm not complaining!
Little does Oliver know that diesels are being scrapped and replaced just like the steam engines have been. We call that a cruel irony.
Another great story Scott I just hope that Oliver realizes that nowadays both steam engines and diesel engines are the same boat
That was a great story. It seems that diesels have the same fear as engines when it comes to scrap. Nice to see Boco and Derek showing sympathy and understanding towards Oliver's fear.
It’s a wonderful thing when you can turn prejudice into compassion. A shame the real world is hardly like that. But the character development you’re able to showcase is untouchable with Oliver.
I do feel sorry for BoCo and Derek’s classes being withdrawn and scrapped. They were scrapped so early and all because of their faulty engines and other teething troubles.
Yeah. It's a dang shame that their classes died. really. we can't save every engines from being scrapped. as much as I wish we could
@@supergodzillakingofthestor5743actually, mabye not every engine, but you can save whatever you can, i dont know why sir topham hatt was to petty to try and save at least one of bocos brothers from scrap, one more metrovick wouldnt hurt on the island, already boco was shown to be friendly to steam engines so why wouldnt the other metrovicks be ethier?

They did until the refurbishment.
This was such an amazing story showing how all engines are practically in the same boat of facing the possibility of being scrapped.
Are you planning on doing an episode where Oliver saves a diesel from scrap?
Ever notice how pretty much every diesel in the NWR was of a model that was being phased out at the time he or she was acquired?

@@rmgilyard not a bad idea, but I personally think it would be more impactful if it were a steam engine.
You could also do a story about Bear explaining how he is a diesel hydraulic and how most of his brothers were scrapped as they were deemed non-standard.
Speaking of which this story was about to not judge anyone on their personality

Who made the routes for the flashback scenes, BoCo's sad face, and the S1 truck faces for Isabel?
Never thought I would her Seaswine9 voice a character ever since she did Megan in Mainland's latest video. :)
Maybe she can do art for Mainland someday. 😊
The routes in those flashback scenes are built-in routes that came with the game. I made Isabel and Dulcie's faces and attached them to existing auto-coach models, and it was my friend Jesster who made BoCo's sad face. Also, SeaSwine's lent her voice to my series before (as Isabel as a matter of fact).
@@FantasticMrSI didn't know what gender she was until I checked Mainland's Wiki page after watching his latest video as she's the one to voice Megan.
I don't remember other videos she voiced in, but has done art for some people like Narrow Guage.
She voiced Isabel in my adaptation of "The Fat Controller's Way" a couple years ago.
