    meanwhile, Carlsen is 2.5 minutes late for a 3 minute blitz game against Kovalev and still wins.
    (he did not do it on purpose, he was late due to traffic, although if he really wanted to be on time, he would have departed sooner, so while not intentional, it's still his fault)
    and yeah, he was more than 2.5 minutes late, Kovalev just waited for him for a while and even after that when the officials told him, he started the clock...
    so basically Carlsen was something like 5 minutes late for a 3 minute blitz and still won

    Coming late to a game on purpose as a habit/psychological tool is quite obnoxious indeed. Maybe if everyone treated it the way vishy did, Karpov would've got the memo and knocked it off. Or maybe the zero tolerance thing would've been introduced faster lol. Thanks for that BTW, anatoly hahaha

      Nowadays there are strict rules on lower rated tournaments how many minutes player can be late and still play, usually only for few minutes is allowed, but not 10 or more like it used to be in old times.Zero tolerance is for very high level tournaments usually . I played on FIDE rated rapid tournament with proffesional GM-s and IM-s and lot of amateurs and there was allowed 5 minutes to be late.

      You don't my knowledge in chess okey. I also consider Karpov as legend,still much ahead than kasporiv . But anand is the mist versatile won championship in all formats . But in classical ,blitz anand is much ahead of Karpov in all the parameters .okey .Karpov luckily won the world championship against him because the authorities were favour of him. But he was truely a legend. What I told is Anand statistics against Karpov much ahead . I consider Tal as greatest of greatest ever ....perhaps equal to Fischer or greater than Fischer,and kramnik creative genius.....pls don't try to evaluate the knowledge . Perhaps you are scholar or I am a fool

    • @kolovikon2118
      @kolovikon2118 3 роки тому +6

      @@padip3421 Well, here, you are bringing the match between Anand and 47 years old Karpov as a proof of what? Did I say that it proofed Karpov was better? What stats are you talking about? Anand has never been a really dominant player (in classical chess at least) - look how many tourneys he won being officially a World champion. And Karpov was the best and the most dominant player for 10 years at least (75-85) and then N°2 for 10 years more (he won tons of rapid and blitz competitions too). And being 50+ y.o. he reached the final of the super rapid chess tournament in 2002 which is mind blowing. And you called his stats "bushy" and said he was "far behind VIshy in all formats" - maybe it is not a limited knowledge but something else, I do not know, but it says smth about you for sure.

    • @padip3421
      @padip3421 3 роки тому +1

      Sir, it has been mis spelt istead of Vishy it has wrongly spelt bushy. I respect Karpov more than Kasparov defnitley . In Linares chess his unbeaten 11 out of 13 games still a reccord .He was outstanding in his own periond sane Anand . 53 year old Anand defeated kramnik in non castling chess and with Carlson 25 years senior to hinin WCC his double blunders one sure winning chance and other sure draw he thrown away. Kramnik creator of Berlin defence succumbed to the great talents of Anand .. See how many times he missed WCC. He was the only champion won WCC in all formats . But Karpov can face only challenger . Just see the difference . A champion has to face all contenters to face the challenge? Karpov never faced that . In that extend 5 time winner who faced all formats Anand - Tal was the greatest player in the 159 years of world champiionship. Karpov was a legend but Anand was superb .When Karpov and and same age he will outclass Karpov simply but he couldnt to Tal.

      @@trentarnold2670 actually, Karpov had mentioned in (more than) a couple of interviews in the 1990s that Vishy was slightly weaker in the psychological side of chess. Karpov scammed his way into 1998 fide world title win just by beating a tired vishy who won a big knockout tournament for the chance to fight karpov and immediately he had to travel to play karpov and he lost on tiebreaks .karpov was 46 and anand was miles better then.Garry Kasparov and Vladimir Kramnik, had refused to participate in the tournament over the privileges being extended to Karpov.he had qualified for the finals by winning a knock-out tournament in Groningen but had to immediately travel to Lausanne to play for the title without a break or time for preparation.. It is like winning the candidates immediately going to play the fresh world fide champion. Kasparov said the same and supported anand on the unfairness
