Wow, this camera is amazing! 3D video footage in a consumer camera. I can’t wait to buy one of these. Just Incase anyone missed it, this video is available in 3D using the UA-cam App!
haha 😁 great job Hug 👍 fitness training in the morning in 3D ... 2 questions ... What about low light shots in rooms? In which distance can you see faces clearly? Thx for the answers🤩 ... #discoverthethrill
Low light - I am 100% honest - the camera is not so great in low light - I think they need to work on the stitcher to get this right. As you see my low light - it lose color...
Hugh, can you do a video on how to get vr180 content from the EVO into UA-cam. Preferably without using Premiere as I do not pay for a Premiere subscription.
feel weird when i was watching this with VR headset, the selfie stick is like pointing to my nose. One of the VR180 camera drawback, it cant make the selfie stick disappeared like 360 camera.
It looks good! One thing I noticed is when viewing in VR and looking up at your hotel I see a "ripple effect" on the building (and other buildings too actually).. I also noticed these wavy ripples on some other videos of the insta360 evo too. I find it to be strange. I notice the same effect on the VUZE XR when looking at the ground in some scenes. I don't see these ripples on the Mirage VR camera, not sure why this happens. Edit: By the way, good catch on the vertical parallax issues in the distance with flow state on.
It is stabilization calculation wrapping - as Mirage is designed for Google using Google original calculation in hardware level. Pretty sure both Vuze XR and Insta360 does not work with Google in the hardware level designed from the ground up.
Download link? I would like to put this on an SD card and view it in my VR headset without UA-cam + Streaming getting in the way. It would be cool if you could supply a download link to the full 5K resolution file.
gosh! the stabilization is so good that i dun feel dizzy watching this whole video on a vr headset! Wish Vuze XR can have such stabilization too! Right now, i'm always taking my baby vr180 videos on tripod and soon she is going to run around! :(
Yes, also without horizon locked and gimbal. This is a test and it turn out not as smooth as I was original think - the follow up review is coming and solution on this problem as well.
Stabilization. But I've just watched it on my 4k monitor. I've got to dig out my viewer to see the 3D. But it's 1am in Australia and I have a sleeping 3 year old in the house. :D
Nice video like always Hugh.. just this camera looks like won't have any success! Insta360 one x was a big innovation but still they need to fix so much! this evo will start with many doubts and some certainties : bugs and problems which will take long time to be fixed: not for me
Did anyone seriously look at this video through a headset? There is no way this will be used in a blogger style on a selfie stick. You feel like a dog being dragged around with a stick in your mouth. Watching on my phone and TV was ok I suppose.
For a camera under $500 with smaller sensors - that is best it can do. Want higher quality - we will need micro 4/3 sensor and bigger - way bigger lenes and deeper pocket spend - I use 2 RED and Entaniya HAL 200 lenses currently for mostly client gig in VR180 - this is a good director camera tho - slap on top my RED lol.

Awww thank you!
Wow! The stabilization is amazing! I can’t wait to get one. Great quality photos and videos.
Thank you, that's the test video I needed.
That looks awesome! Ordered one already! Can't wait for its arriving!
Congratz!
Woow looking AMAZING 🤩 cant wait to get mine 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Amazing. Just ordered mine!
Amazing! I need this camera for everything I do!!

Excelent! Good Job Hug and Insta! very good stabilization
Hi Hugh - love your videos - can you tell me is it possible to upload these Vr 180 and 360 videos from Insta 360 EVO to Unity and "play" with them??
Yes why not?
I'm watching this on my 3dtv it looks good!
Tell me you are not using a gimbal... that stabilization is awesome dude!
Nope - you can look down - no gimbal no magic.
Black Magic Davinci Resolve - the free version? Was wondering if they provide a similar vr180 workflow.
Nope unfortunately... For workflow, follow my VR180 playlist - ua-cam.com/video/iHenQuv0-bk/v-deo.html
Recommend to me.
Which image and video is sharper between instaONE X and insta360 EVO???
They are like the same.

How would you edit them if you are not using Premiere?
The edge of the field is really blurry vignette affect - is that something done by the software ?
Yes - it actually done by UA-cam VR Creator Tool as if you DON'T use it after Premiere, the EVO upload will have edge wrapping issue .
'Sup Hugh... do you know if I can live stream in 360 / VR180 with the EVO?
Can't
feel weird when i was watching this with VR headset, the selfie stick is like pointing to my nose. One of the VR180 camera drawback, it cant make the selfie stick disappeared like 360 camera.
Yes. The selfie stick is an issue.
Hey Hugh, what’s the bitrate? It’s buffering in my Oculus Go. Thanks
Pretty high - I believe it is 120 - 130Mbps

Hi Hugh, Don't you think this is an issue with the lens , as they are actually very small for such a resolution ?

Working on it!! Sorry still in Abu Dhabi and the internet is not great here
I fully expect VR180 to do as spectacularly well as 3D TV! 😜
I hope so too!!!
Forget folding phones! I will buy this foldable camera!!!
Lol!! I wish it can be used as phone! Bring the flip phone back in style.
gosh! the stabilization is so good that i dun feel dizzy watching this whole video on a vr headset! Wish Vuze XR can have such stabilization too! Right now, i'm always taking my baby vr180 videos on tripod and soon she is going to run around! :(
Lol. Try this new one and see when will you get sick: ua-cam.com/video/YJ2vLnrTvOk/v-deo.html
When I saw into my o-go, I felt a bit sick cause the extreme camera move, did you?
Yes, also without horizon locked and gimbal. This is a test and it turn out not as smooth as I was original think - the follow up review is coming and solution on this problem as well.
I am wondering if original file looks more sharper and colorful than one in youtube.
It does for sure. UA-cam compress it a lot.
🌿...Totally Awesome‼...🌿
Thank you!
Ooo... ...That looks smooth...
The stabilization or image quality? I will be online answering question BTW.
Stabilization. But I've just watched it on my 4k monitor. I've got to dig out my viewer to see the 3D. But it's 1am in Australia and I have a sleeping 3 year old in the house. :D
Finally a 3D camera from insta360, but the outlook and the switching process between 360 and 180 is not very well design.
Did Insta360 fix the parallax problem?
Yes they did!
Can you compare it against zcam k1 pro ?
I am working on it lol.
Hmmm, that hotel facade start to wobble significantly when the camera moves. Especially during slow pans/orbits
Yup - it is stabilization calculation - something need to fix for them in the next firmware update.
Looked great on my Oculus Go!
Good to know!!
Nice video like always Hugh.. just this camera looks like won't have any success! Insta360 one x was a big innovation but still they need to fix so much! this evo will start with many doubts and some certainties : bugs and problems which will take long time to be fixed: not for me
Looks pretty amazing to me. Best consumer 180 3D camera out there

Ohhh..nooo... I have to use this ugly helmet again ;-)
color really bad
Quality is bad. We want better quality, not new functionalities.

@@hughhou agree. Looks pretty good to me
Looks real bad so again I will pass on Insta360 new product
