With the extremely limited options for vr180 at the moment in the consumer market, and apple vision coming next year, I want to get started in experimenting with vr180 content. I have the chance to buy the insta360 evo, but is this still a worthwhile investment in 2023? I plan to edit in fcpx and view on a meta quest for now. It would just be good if it is worthwhile to start experimenting with context creation.
Do you have anything on lens alignment for Vuze XR 180 3D Focal Point and / or focused field of view using Vuse VR Studio. Yes I am (sorta) new at this - Thanks Bruce
Is Insta giving up on the EVO? June 2020 and I can't seem to find them available online. Doesn't seem like Insta has a VR-180 ready camera in the lineup except for this one.
They have a "3d mount" coming for the "Insta360 One R" that lets you use use 2 cameras to do 180. But yeah, shame they don't have this anymore, I much prefer VR180 over 360.
With Vuze, can you watch 3D video directly on phone? -Does it have its own version of a “holoframe?” -Does it come with any 3D glasses (like Evo)? -Can I playback 3D video on a 3D projector (Sony HW45) using their active 3D glasses? -Can it automatically switch from 360 to 3D (180), without starting and stopping? Thanks.
Thanks for the video! Image quality is generally good with both.. maybe the EVO a bit better DR though I find the HDR mode just flat and dull. As for stabilization, the EVO wins hands down. The Vuze with the weird wobbly cropping while stabilizing looks absolutely ridiculous.
Just got my Vuze XR. I can never get to anything close to the quality you have for your closer objects (flowers, water). It's all blurry and pixelated . I use 5.7k resution, iso 100, shutter 30 (on a tripod, immobile objects) render at 5.7k at 120mbps bitrate with the vuze studio and then directly into my oculus go. What am I doing wrong? Any help from anyone would be much appreciated...
what camera would you recommend for pro wedding videos, the evo? or should I wait get something else, I wanted something with good sharpness. thank you!
I'm looking to buy a Vuze Plus, but I'd like to test-view some footage through my headset first. Anyone know where I can get raw download files? UA-cam's compression botches the resolution quality. Thank you!
OMG I setup my Vive just to watch this. It looks horribe! Not because of the resolution but because the closest objects were just too close. Felt like I was cross eyed the whole time. Also the moving video instantly made me sick and I never get sick in VR. Did you even look at this in VR? Maybe it looks better using an Oculus Go? I'm sure it's fine using the special case of the EVO.
I watched your video twice. Once on my ipad and then on my oculus go. My conclusion is the content and 3dness of your choice of shots trumps the choice and quality of camera. You clearly know how to make great content so it would be great if you could make a video on how to make 3d stand out in your video. The flower beds by the canal really leapt out in 3d mode and looked great. Same with the train seats. 👍

My XR camera suddenly stopped seeing the card. Do you know what the problem might be?
Yet the battery is never discussed. When it goes bad, your credit card bill still has you paying for something that is most likely now a paperweight.

Bought the Fujifilm 3D W3 when this one broke - much better.
Also was checking the Sony TD30 - quality is insane, but the price is pretty high!

Always love your content ....Thank you
Tell me about that rig in the thumbnail that you use to hold two cameras with one hand.
Could get the Evo for AU$500 a year ago. It's not at $800. Shame they didn't keep making VR180 cameras. They were just starting to get good.

love my vuze and wont be swapping anytime soon - I thik with investement it will still be a very relevant camera
Оhhh this is drunk and cold England....in 3d
Will the 180 VR show correctly in a Windows Mixed Reality headset?
so interesting camera!

The reason is not UA-cam. It’s just really poor quality from this cams now
Cool cameras but I think the insta 360 one x is where it’s at! I love mine.
i watched comparisons and evo is sharper
Insta 360 One X is not a 3D camera.
I get a message not to use hdr except on still shots. Is this correct?
Yeah it doesn't work while moving!
Good comparison. Thanks
Insta360 Evo wins for me 👍🏻 👍🏻
Hi. do you export your videos in H.264 or H.265 like Ben Claremont. Thanks

What 3D cameras produce sufficient quality for you?
Both cameras can be found at ebay

Sure I will. It's about choosing the right scenes
