Looks like some real bright ones here....keep revving the engine when it quits moving thinking it will somehow fix itself and go again. Those 4r75w trans's are pretty good transmissions....either it was abused or it was never maintained.
Yeah, if my trans starts slipping I always just gun it, I never stop and check the fluid or anything like that. Or the motor oil just listen to the valve train clicking and clacking....

By the sound of an unleaded sounding like a diesel, my guess is it was never maintained 😂
Very common in the 5.4 3v triton. Timing chain tick. Has over 150k miles towed heavy everyday. Rough life for a f150.
