  • Welcome to the Muscle and Motion UA-cam channel!
In this video, we'll explore the Forward Step Down Test (FSDT), a functional test and rehabilitation tool designed to enhance knee strength, flexibility, and overall lower limb control.
Whether you're an athlete looking to optimize your performance or someone recovering from a knee injury, this can be a valuable addition to your training routine.
The FSD test involves descending from an eight-inch/twenty-centimeter step while maintaining precise control over your knee and hip movements. It's an effective way to assess and improve knee function, making it useful both as a screening tool and a rehabilitation exercise.

Love that this company exists. Helped me move past an injured bank and get back into weight lifting.
Visualizing the mechanics is so valuable.

Pistol squat says hello… pelvic plane and knee position are most important aspects of this test.

Minute 1:35 - please correct the animation where the 60 degrees chart is. It should be showing the range of the movement of the tibia from its starting position to its ending position, not the angle between the tibia and the femur.

Yes, the angle marked 60 degrees is actually 120.
