I brought this rod not long ago fished it once. Feel its rating is more like 4-15 gram what's your thoughts. I threw 5 gram weight and 3.5inch osp beaver felt really good
That’s pretty much what I throw on it too. Small baits with a 3/15oz (5gram) weight. One of my videos (Brothers fishing trip 2023 pt4), I caught most of my fish (largest 4lbs) on the OPS beaver. It’s on the softer side, so when I do set the hook, I kinda give it to them. Haha.
Yeah. I’ve done really good in this pond. Idk if I keep sharing my location and people has fished out the big ones. The last couple times, I’ve only been catching dinks.
@@dvangfishing yeah, that’s why normally I don’t really say where I fish if I know it’s a spot that should be kept safe. If it’s a public lake that receives constant pressure for sure like tucker, badin, or high rock I don’t mind sharing.
@@dvangfishing oh I definitely have lots of Megabass. Kit is all Daiwa Steez and Megabass. Sold all Loomis and St Croix because they spoke so loud to me.
@dvangfishing ya, you just opened a whole new world for me. I've searched custom shimano parts and got nothing but ebay crap. Those 100mm swept handles look perfect!
@DVang Fishing I ended up with the 22 expride 168(gripjoint) MH-S with the taftec solid tip. They mention free rigging in the description. Im.digging it. Gonna try it later
@@soevasive the Expride B is definitely bang for the bucks. So much technology in that rod. I had one at one point. I also had the Poison Adrena at one point too. Replaced them with the Evergreen Orion rods.
@@soevasive these Evergreen Orion rods are a bit pricey. Maybe just a little more than the Megabass. They are super strong and light and sensitive. I love these rods. I do enjoy my Megabass rods too.
Just a few things that I have noticed, over the weekend I watched a lot of videos on this free rig. Use a light wire hook and a buoyant bait... hope to try it this weekend.

Looking at that BFS rod at the shop the other day, it is very tempting.
Pull the trigger on it. Megabass makes great rods. You won’t be disappointed.

how you like your rod is it a good bfs rod?
It’s a great rod. It’s a little on the softer side, so you gotta set the hook a little hard with this rod. But I love it.
They were stscked at the pipe by the tracks Friday afternoon. Super windy and only place that was fishable. Got them on a jawtec sultan

@DVang Fishing Never used evergreen whatcha think? I have a few of the P5s ill still end up getting the bait finesse lol. I love megabass rods
