Nice. Congrats bro! You'd be hard pressed to get back in a kayak now! I'd recommend upgrading your trolling motor to an ultrex or ulterra 12v 80lb. Will make a world of a difference

@@BCY95 it’s cool. It was a little over $400 round trip, so it wasn’t too too bad. I was expecting more but I was able to find some gas stations along the way that were under $3 a gallon.
Congrats on the boat man! Living the dream! Those yota’s are sweet trucks but man they can drink some gas!

I have another question and hope you can help with your experience. Do you think the Daiwa Zillion TW HD 1000 goes well with the Black Rose? And can you recommend another one for the Throne and Megabass Valkyrie 71h?
@@franky2038 yes, the Zillion will go great with the Black Rose. If you search my videos, I did paired them up together at one point.
@@franky2038 I find it that most of the higher end Daiwa reels are a lot lighter than Shimano’s higher end reels. I would stick with a Steez A or A II.
I totally forgot that my uncle had a boat! lol sweet! I also didn’t know you had a YT channel. This is a great upgrade for ya!

I just installed a Drag Clicker in it. So when the fish pulls back, you can hear your line going.

Love all the local content! Find myself looking for channels like yours more and more. Nice seeing action from the same lakes I have access to. I’ve been debating on a cheap boat or a decked out kayak. Your videos make me lean towards a nice kayak. Not sure if it’s been mentioned in earlier videos but do you mind sharing what your kayak is? I’m a bigger dude so stability is my main concern. Is standing up and fishing just out of the question with a kayak?
@@jasoncowick2376 thanks brother. My kayak is a 2022 Native Slayer 10 Max. I have a Newport NK180 motor on it as well. You can stand up in a kayak and fish without any issues, depending on which kayak you get. I say spend the extra money and get a stable kayak. I use to have the same mind set when I went from bank fishing to kayak fishing. You’re so use to setting the hook while standing up, so that’s your comfort zone. But you once you get a kayak and learn how to set the hook while sitting, you’ll never wanna stand again. Hahaha. I barely stand up in my kayak anymore. LOL.

Thank you. And yes, it’s the JDM Steez A II. Right now I’m using it as my frog/punch setup. I have 50lb braid on it. I’m thinking maybe about 100 yards.
