Steve, You are the gold standard of the fitness industry. I have now followed you for years and you still continue to deliver fantastic knowledge and content. You are very appreciated! Thank you, Garett Eldridge
You prolly dont care at all but does someone know a method to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb forgot my account password. I appreciate any help you can give me.
the functional training is exactly what I love to do! its all ive really been doing in quarantine since I still dont have access to a gym/heavy weights. it is allowing me to keep up my cardiovascular health (since running is not exactly my cup of tea) while also building muscular strength/endurance! super interesting to see all these workouts together though. your page is super educational and fun and thats why I love it!
Good video and definitely on trend with the way the fitness world is moving. Obi Vincent is ahead of the curve and good to see Steve moving to this way of training too.
Hey Steve could you do a Bodyweight workout and see how the strain/heart rate compares. You could speak about how Bodyweight can build muscle if you progressive overload etc but if you can you should use weights to workout then you should depending on what your goals are
Thank you for this video, Steve! If I have 20 mins, I’ll definitely choose HIFT workouts like those I’d been doing during the Summer Sizzle 2.0. That challenge brought me into the best shape of my life!
One thing to factor is your fatigue going into the functional workout. Your body would struggle more after what you did the whole day. So your Strain would be higher than normal. But still a great workout and of course the functional bout would still be better when wanting to maximize your time.
Depends on your end goals, building mass or overall fitness. I do enjoy a good run/cardio session in the morning to get the day started and then hit the gym later in the day.
Awesome and very helpful video. This is my first ever UA-cam comment. Steve, i’m trying to lose weight and get some lean muscle.. what’s better? superset weights before the HITT session? or vice versa? thank you!
Mate stick to the cross training, way more entertaining. Sort of a nick bare style. Makes the content a lot more intriguing. None the less, good shit 🤙🏼
“Got the jog out of the way” 😂 -SAME LOL Really though, looks like I’m going to be doing more functional training. THANK YOU! Also, do you think your running would’ve made a difference AFTER coffee? ORR
Names for flavours???? The vanilla gorilla 🦍😃 i know the run burnt the most calorie during the time but would strength training not burn the most overall... like throughout the day after training?? Thanks for the video 👌
You nailed it, its hard to compare the post exercise caloric burn that the strength training would provide so we went strictly with the in workout strain.
Steve Cook ah ok I thought the Whoop 🙌 could calculate the after burn for us. but yes I get it now, even if it does the after burn would be relevant to the individual’s body composition. Thanks! Love your work
Functional Training combines more muscle groups in the movements and can have a cardio component to it vs. a traditional muscle isolation exercise like a single bicep curl, etc.
Steve,

low key, when steve is releasing his supplements, I'll be 100% getting them. If it's steve approved, no questions needed.

i agree, if its steve approved then its no bs

Loving the cardio and functional training on the program!
This is such a great video. As a PT I think this was so well put and demonstrated (also about to try the functional lift here)
The quality of this video🔥✊🏻
This was a perfect video. Sooo helpful. Thanks, Steve
Thank you for this video, Steve! If I have 20 mins, I’ll definitely choose HIFT workouts like those I’d been doing during the Summer Sizzle 2.0. That challenge brought me into the best shape of my life!
Glad you are loving the Sizzle, those end workouts are no joke!

This is so cool! 🥳🥳
Great video man. As a college athlete glad to see that all the HIIT we are forced to do actually has some merit haha
I'm glad Steve likes to talk with his mouth open, it would be harder to understand him if it were closed.
One thing to factor is your fatigue going into the functional workout. Your body would struggle more after what you did the whole day. So your Strain would be higher than normal. But still a great workout and of course the functional bout would still be better when wanting to maximize your time.
Thank you for the video

What were the rounds and reps for the deadlifts and lunges???
Edit is 🔥👍
I was looking at getting a Whoop, do you recommend it? Is it very accurate and does it provide valuable info to assist with workouts?
Man ...this video is amazing 😍
Thank you!
@@swoldiernation you are a great inspiration sire🙂
love this edit.
Good video Steve thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
Steve: the pace wasn’t that fast, about an 8:30
Me: ..fastest one mile is 9:15 but then that’s it. One mile and gassed. 😂
Keep at it, you will get that speed. I guess I have too many fast friends so 8:30 seems slow ha.
You are so knowledgeable when it comes to physical fitness that I just had to check this video out. Also it does my eyes some good. 😉
You're pretty 😊
Lifestyle vids and Mobility and function work is my favorite.. all of its gold tho
Hey Steve..do we have to change our workout style in mid 30s?
Steve love your videos! Can we please get your review of the powerdot estim from the video!
I totally agree all 3 for a well-rounded and fit physique! :)
You are amazing bro ! Can u tell everyday cardio or gym or both like cardio in morning gym in the evening
Depends on your end goals, building mass or overall fitness. I do enjoy a good run/cardio session in the morning to get the day started and then hit the gym later in the day.
I need the songs to these workout sessions!! 😫😍

Weight training 🏋️🏋️ is the best!!!
Its hard to choose which one I love the most, but not cardio....
@@swoldiernation it gives the best results
Hiit for the win as a cardio weights for muscle build! I don’t like a run xd
4.17 even makes the roads look small
what app is that?
Its the Whoop app that works with the Whoop watch.
Names for flavours???? The vanilla gorilla 🦍😃 i know the run burnt the most calorie during the time but would strength training not burn the most overall... like throughout the day after training?? Thanks for the video 👌

Is that where the filmed Creed 2?
What exactly does 'functional training' mean?
Functional Training combines more muscle groups in the movements and can have a cardio component to it vs. a traditional muscle isolation exercise like a single bicep curl, etc.
@@swoldiernation Makes sense bro! Hope you're doing well - Andy, UK
Can you test Pickleball on your next whoop workout?
Did we just become best friends?
@@swoldiernation 😂 hey ill make the 3 hour drive down to the St George pickleball courts anytime!
I feel like Steve is so close to saying he’s now a crossfitter/crosslifter. This is the exact training style of CrossFit
What sunglasses are you wearing steve?
I preferred cardio fast pace and then weightlifting to have good shape
