This film is utterly deserving of all its awards. It’s my favourite of the year & possibly one of the best films I’ve seen this decade. An instant classic. It’s a superlative exercise in executing an intelligent, creative singular vision through mastery of tone, genre, thematic elements, & technique (the blocking & cinematography was amazing), Kudos to the cast for bringing the script to life off the page; at the very least Kang Ho Song, So Dam Park & Jeong-Eun Lee should have scored acting nominations. Not a single line of dialogue or one frame of film is wasted, it all cleverly weaves seamlessly into a story that casts a spell. Language & culture are no barriers when watching; the message this film is trying to conveys shines through.
Exactly! OUATIH and The Irishman were "perfect" as well (I haven't watched 1917) but Parasite was much richer, doing so much more. After watching it you are not thinking "Yeah it was great!" but "My god this is incredible, litterally... This is history!". The last time I had thought that was after watching the first 20 minutes of Roma. Those movies are from another dimension, future corner stones. OUATIH and TI will be remembered and cherished. Jojo Rabbit can become a cult family movie, Ford vs Ferrari a forgotten good flick and Joker..... well I don't think it will leave any trace once the hype is down.

UGH I got so emotional watching that moment on Sunday and this made me cry again too. Part of it was how everyone cheered so loudly, gave them a standing ovation, and really embraced the significance of Parasite winning.

Right when I thought I knew who the protagonist was I find morally questioning my conclusion and decided maybe it wasn't even a person at all... but that it was, rather, an idea... I'll leave it at that as many probably have as well. And that's what makes the movie brilliant for me.

Even if she was financially meaningful; His speech gives us an immense sense at the inspiration behind this film. It's moving, one minute we are crying, then he makes us laugh. Love the emotional rollercoaster he makes us experience, even in a simple speech. I am thankful to the producers for making this movie possible, but probably it was hard to follow up on such a great speech. I wished They had Thanked The World Audience For Supporting This Film. I think director Bong would have done that. Chance missed.

Parasite was indeed the best movie of this year and it was a well deserved win but Bong's best movie to date is Memories of Murder. It is the best thriller of all time.

______________The movie started out well, but the conclusion was absolutely terrible. Did not deserve best picture. The award was completely political and therefore morally and ethically bankrupt, just like the entire Oscars has become. If they director had any integrity and commitment to his craft he would have refused the award. Being awarded for not being a white male is what it came down to. PC wokeness/identity politics/3rd wave feminism (similar) is a cancer that needs to be removed asap. It's unbelievably dangerous and turns supporters into bigots, racists, fascists, liars, liars, liars, liars and liars. Did i mention "liars"? Nothing good will come from it.
