I've used that same primer. I use to work for a heavy equipment company that had there some what like a body shop. The company built there own truck body's to the customers needs. They also built there own custom dump truck beds. We would prime it and guide cost right after the last coat on what ever it was we were working on. Come in the next day and da with 220 then spray it with Imron single stage. Never had a problem with the sandpaper clogging up. It's sands nice I think. Nice work!
Oh yeah it looks like you do nice work and take pride in your restorations by priming it so many times a lot of people i deal with are so fucking cheap they like why does it have to be primed 3 times can't you just do bodywork right the first time. lmao.... wtf. I just finished up a fiber glass custom bumper and the guy was so pissed i used a whole quart of primer on it.
you probably dont give a damn but does anyone know a way to get back into an Instagram account? I was dumb lost my account password. I love any assistance you can offer me
@Camden Mayson i really appreciate your reply. I found the site on google and Im in the hacking process now. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
A good tip I read was with a Turbine always use a slow reducer with anything because of the hot air coming out you are already in need of a slow reducer no matter the air temp you are painting in.
@@esrestorations - Ah really OK good to know. i was looking at that Wanda solvent line but found out I cannot get it in CA. Did not meet the VOC requirement I guess??? Waterbase I could get but not the solvent based.
this video is of great interest to me since ive decided to invest in a 3 gun turbine outfit sold by a Ohio company. Hopefully, you got a video showing paint and clear!👍
@@esrestorations Thank you I am setting up a carport 12x20 in the next month so i can do some work at home. looks like you have enough space around the car but instead you got the 24 feet long. what I am going to do is put 3 open front storage sheds on the side as an addition 3x5. so Basically my set up will be 15x20 one room will be tools other room paint and other room sand paper and bondos
Hi there glad you're interested in the Challenger. The videos are on there way. I've been pretty busy could not upload for about two month so stay tuned thanks for watching!
Yesterday I used electric hvlp for the first time. I see that You used 1.8 tip, this is where I made a mistake I just used 1.4 for primer like in compressed pistol but still after all job is done and looks decent. I just wanted to cut the air from the bare metal with 2k epoxy so I can continue the work on the other side of the car. At least I know now that when I'll be spraying filler that I should change the tip to 1.8.
sand the first coat of high build with 180 ? Really ? I started with 320, then did 400, -- took me 10 hours by hand...I did not have to do that ?? Great, I reprimed and did 400 since I am going to paint it next week....
When I use extreme High Build primer I do send it with 180 to cut down on the time. this car was painted and finished last year and it has a show quality paint job smooth as glass! Everyone has their own way of doing things this was my way.
Looks like your sprayer was really close to the car. And it also looks like there was instant orange peel being laid down. Looks like alot of wet sanding was on the future.
Nice prep work
Sprayed good looked like!
One hell of a garage setup! Nice!
Planning on doing this to my truck this spring in 2023! Any tips using a Fuji Q 5

Primer looks good and smooth.
Disgusting amount of work i know. You really went all out with the garage booth setup, nice work.
We need nozzle sizes, mix ratios of each, flash times due to the added heat, pressure in machine
Thats going to be really nice.
Awesome video brother
You can use that much high build primer? Wont it crack and peel up after time?
No... he's Sanding the majority of it off. He was still cutting through before his last coat
What pps adapter did you need for your Apollo gravity feed?
Number 34 the original PPS system. You may need to find the equivalent for the 2.0 new updated PPS system
Great job. I was hoping you would talk more about the turbine system you used. Thanks

Can you show us how you set your garage up it looks really amazing some tips plz?
This is a great channel man! I found it because I'm trying to learn how to paint. Very informative. I'll be subscribing.

@Camden Mayson it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my account!
@London Sonny No problem :)
I bought a 2.5 primer gun off of EBAY for $25 and it works fantastic !
Also be nice to have extra pps cups already filled!
Was hoping to see base coats sprayed as well !
A good tip I read was with a Turbine always use a slow reducer with anything because of the hot air coming out you are already in need of a slow reducer no matter the air temp you are painting in.
there is no slow reducer in the Wanda brand my bad

How do you like the spray system? How you used it to paint the car with and clear? I been looming for a while for videos.
Why not use the original cup for the turbine gun for primer?
Question on my 70 nova door jams. Poly primer ,or 2k after epoxy coating? or both?
ES have you used those liners that go in the paint tub on the guns? Hell you may be using one here, cant tell.
Great job!
With the film speed increase it looks like a robot painter at a GM factory. I spray like this in my dreams. In reality wavy blotchiness.
180g ???

Which one did you buy?
T.i.P. ?
Very good but I didn't realize the Maxi Miser was that loud.
Or is it just because of the microphone?
It's probably the microphone it's about as loud as your ordinary vacuum cleaner not loud at all air compressors way louder.
@@esrestorations How much can I paint with a Maxi Miser 2000 at a time. a hood? a door? bumper? I know they are not meant to paint a full car at once.
what size is this garage?
24 deep by 12.5 feet wide 9 feet tall

What tip & cap did you use to spray paint and clear? Thank you
You are supposed to block primer after 3 coats not after each coat
Wheres the video of the finshed Challenger? What color did you paint it?
Hi there glad you're interested in the Challenger. The videos are on there way. I've been pretty busy could not upload for about two month so stay tuned thanks for watching!
I painted it back the factory blue and I was the B3
Which maxi miser unit is this! 1000,2000 or 3000?
Maxi-miser 3000
The lines might be your florescent tubes.
My GoPro got set out in the sun and ever since then it started putting lines in the video

Orange peel on primer? Ru serious? If you are going to sand hibuild anyway then I dont think Orange peel is an issue.
@@rodiebobwilliams1330 No but then u you need to sand even more.
@@ashramdhan1582 Truth .lol
You paint like you on speed no offense. Why you rushing?
I sped up the video once I started spraying to shorten up the video.
If he is it sure isn't effecting his spraying
