Hi, thank you for the video. I have watched all of your videos and enjoy them very much. However, I just watched the one with the guy talking about Romania. I thought that he said that his rent was $700 a month. Am I wrong? Thank you
Romania is lovely, but it's bordering Ukraine. Nobody knows what will happen there. Georgia is really poor and run down, and they have a Moscow-friendly government, although 20% of the country is occupied by Russia. Plus, there is a lot of unrest among the people about this situation. Difficult to make a choice here.
@@erikramaekers63 I agree, friendly people and a beautiful country. But I've been there many years ago, so I can't say anything about the cost of living there
The war is not going to come to Romania even if Moldova gets dragged in unless they start firing missiles at Russia. Winters are cold, though, and that might be a problem for many. Georgia is growing really fast and is already quite developed. They have an election today and if the people have any sense, they'll reelect the supposedly pro-Russia party, which has kept them out of the war in Ukraine despite pressure from the EU and NATO/America to open another front. How foolish that would be. I think that the Georgian voters will choose wisely. My personal favourite of the three would be Paraguay.
You have to let that go: learn how to connect with people on WhatsApp for eg. You have to epand your comfort zone; get insurance. It’s not always easy. But it is about taing chances and going after an easier or more fulfilling lifestyle…you won’t know unless you try. Maybe it will work; maybe not. Nothing is guaranteed.
@@melisherwood5300 I'm not sure how your reply relates to the content of my specific question. Letting go csn cost alot of money and effort without sufficient information to make an informed decision.

Of course you are right about needing to research to a degree, but keep this in mind. All of the above. Yes, Georgia, Romania, and Paraguay are generally considered safe and have lower violent crime rates than the U.S. Petty theft can occur, but violent crime is rare, especially in expat areas. These countries prioritize tourism and community safety, making them popular choices for those seeking secure, affordable living abroad. Internet is excellent in all three countries.
Paraguay for South America, Romania if you're in Europe.

Seth purchased a 3 bedroom apartment with cash so he doesn't have a rent or payment. Thank you Cherie for your question and support!!
Ré, isn't the weather in Georgia perfect for North Americans? No heavy winters or high heat and humidity in the DG summer?
I've not been to Georgia yet but found this about year around temperature here: expathub.ge/weather-in-georgia/

100 per cent correct...many other choices
Anybody, any thoughts on Northern Macedonia,
Do any retirees explain how to live abroad at an older age and far from friends and family? Especially as medical needs grow.
