It’s refreshing to see early retirement, travel videos that aren’t always about Southeast Asia. Southeast Asia is way too hot and muggy for me. Nothing against the people, but I want some cooler weather.
There are of course tons of videos on latin America as well. From Panama to Uruguay. I'd like to see more about people who relocate to sub Saharan African countries.
We have been to Montenegro - yes, a gem, but be warned, there is a grocery store with a parking lot that if you drive forward, you will drop 5 feet! Apparently, no safety measures. Kotor is an amazing gem, but not sure if I'd call it a big city. What an incredible bay you live on! There is also a fortress above nearby Dubrovnik worth checking out. Thanks for covering Montenegro, don't hear much about it.
If it weren't for the war in Europe I'd be willing to run there tomorrow. If things don't improve in the US and Canada I'll want to get out anywhere anytime!
Rule of thumb: If you're moving to another country because the cost of living there is much lower than in your home country, remember...you need to live like a local when you move there, not like you lived in the place you moved from.
Montenegro applies a personal income tax rate of 9% to most types of income for residents, including foreign income. However, this rate can increase to 15% for monthly incomes above certain thresholds. We recommend consulting with a tax professional for specific details.
Its a beautiful country. But if you buy a property and you want residency keep in mind you will be required to stay in Montenegro for five years. You will only be allowed to leave for 30 days a year max. Also he is quoting low prices for rent. You can find rent these prices. But most Americans would not want to live in them. Need to be more realistic.
What a loser comment ! Yeah Balkan was ottoman empire like 100 years ago go so he basically moved to Turkey 😂 ! Imagine if my ant had balls it would be called uncle 😂 . Go hide away you stupid creature 😂
This comment is posted before watching 1 second of your vlog. If you have a intro more than 5 seconds or at anytime you ding me with a bell I will immediately stop watching your video and move on.

I enjoyed your video.
What is the level of property theft? Home break-ins, car break-ins, etc? What is the water source and quality?
Very low when compared to the US. You can look up these stats on the GPI or Global Peace Index.

Thank you!
I've heard on another channel that you can get citizenship through real estate investment there with no minimum requirement, is that true?
He indicates that on this podcast:)
Too much rain, the wettest in Europe.
However, it's very dry in the summertime.
Thats why its green, trees need water, otherwise with the hot temperatures in summer it would look like a desert
Average 270 days of sunshine in a year. Maybe too much sunshine? When it’s not sunny it tends to be mild/cloudy/rainy though.
How much is the tax for US retirement income? How is the health care?

Montenegro 🇲🇪 was not even it’s own country 20 yrs ago. It was a region of Serbia. So he moved to Serbia.

It wasn't. It was a state Union called Serbia and Montenegro. Before that it was a region of yugoslavia.
True. I moved to Serbia & Montenegro. But it’s always been Montenegro as far as the Montenegrins are concerned.
Big problem, if you don't speak the local language. Almost nobody speaks English. That's why it's cheap.
You're overlooking the international expat community there. And some do speak english, you just have to find them:)
If you don't mind all the Russians.
Or merikans 😂😂
Or Americans, South Africans, British, Irish, Australians, Kiwis, Turkish, Canadians, Israelis, French, Germans etc etc…
