I'm using your program, just shouted you out got 1890 seated liberty dime, a 1902 IHP N A 1904 Vnickel so far using it tyvm much respect. I'm in Maine and we just found train station in woods n your program is helping
Excellent and congrats. Seated coins are hard to come by. I'll have a new version of this coming out soon. It will be even better for coin. I have a few folks testing it now and they are having a bunch of success.
I'm new to the Deus II, coming from an ATpro. I have yet to swing it outside but I will soon. Right now I have been watching your videos over and over. I live on 300 acres of old farm land on the eastern shore of MD. I have a lot of coins and relics here, cant wait to see what I missed using the Deus.
Maybe time to try planting a few deeper targets 14 -16 inches, an thanks for making these videos, I've been swingin the D2 since Feb 10 but I mostly saltwater hunt being I live across the river from Yorktown in Gloucester
Mental Metal, bringing it again with actual metal detecting information you can use. No BS, no Drama, just a straight forward Mental Metal information fast lane!!!!
Good program. I've been running the silver slayer program. Hunting in a extremely aluminum can slaw infested nightmare. Im running notch 7 to 87 and cherry picking silvers.
You and Calabash seem to be the go too guys for the Deus 2, in my opinion. After Calabash viewed this video, he recommends the *Notch* set to 40 vs. the *Discrimination* set to 40. Your thoughts, please?
Hey George I will tip my hat to him. He knows that detector. I would agree w/him. Using notch uses less filtering/power and will allow more into the ground. IMO he isn't wrong and is probably worth giving it a try. Usually I only run DISC at 6.4 but in the video I had it up to 40 for another test I was doing and forgot to lower it back. It didn't make too much of a difference for my test garden but using notch vs disc up to 40 in the field could make a big difference.
Nice video, do you have test your Deus 2 in underwater for rings? I usually search in lagoons and rivers. I buyed D2 four months ago and still trying to configure for that kind of search and is complicated!!! Clues?? Suscribed to your channel, Regards from Argentina
That's pretty much how mine is setup with the exception of a few settings. Disc@5.O Sens@97, reactivity @0.5. These are what my dealer runs on his. Long time relic hunter in Cold Harbor. He was digging bullets at 14".
Suggestion for test extension: fill a test hole with a soil that has a G.ID smaller than 75. Then please test again with 1 dime. How big is the depth difference then?
@@MentalMetal Most of the time the bottom is below 80, which has a very dampening effect on the depth. Locate 1 dime at a 10 inch depth? That would be impossible. Thank you for the feedback.
I weed out this on your program the coin and silver ring program. Just tweak it a little🙌 thanks from TEXAS Well couldn’t send a picture but anyway a nice 14 carat gold pendant
Good stuff! BUT DO NOT COUNT ON THE NUMBERS! When they are that clean you have to dig gem! To people new don’t get fooled by the numbers. They will change from area to area! Good luck everyone! Keep swinging!
Disc at 40? That's odd......why did you pick 40? Calabash never uses 40......hmm........interesting thing I noticed is that even with Disc at 40, if you have the iron volume turned on, like you did, iron signals still come through, which leads me to believe the Iron Volume trumps Discrimination? I'd be interested to know what happens to the dime target with nails in the hole with the iron volume turned off...maybe that'll knock out your nail digging issue.......please report back at your earliest convenience.......also congrats on the Courts ruling in NY about the 2nd amendment, soon you will be a free american in MD!
I ended up at 40 just because I was testing and didn't pay attention but it works. I'll have to try the no iron audio. I think once but forgot what the results were. I already got in line for it...😁
Calabash recommended, (yes he referenced this channel :)) that I try notching 40 vs DISC 40 - make sense should have less of an impact on the machine by doing the notch.
@@MentalMetal notch 0 thru 40, not just 40....too much discrimination does have a negative effect on separation, not so much on depth. I need to gonfind that video....must have just come out today!
I have been using a "cherry picking" program that I call "Silver Bullet". In less than two weeks, I have found 12 silver dimes, a silver quarter, a Walker half dollar, and one war nickel with it, all in a public park that should have been slammed over the years, but was probably underdetected because of all the bottlecaps and pulltabs and other picnic trash. Silver Bullet is based on the Relic program. Relic, as you know, uses Pitch, which normally I would find useless in the places that I detect, but it is perfect when used the way that I set it up. Relic mode (along with Gold mode) tends to be deeper than the other programs, which is why I used it. What I do is to set up a simple discrimination "notch" from 0-90 (or 85 if you want to catch Indian Head cents). I keep reactivity as low as I can, typically 1 or 1.5. This program is so extremely quiet that I run a bit of threshold just to remind me that it is still working. And I am running IAR of 3, but I don't know if that really matters at all. I would love to see you test and compare Silver Bullet with your deep HC program in a future video. But please give it a try yourself and see what you think. It certainly is not for everywhere, but in a park where the best that you might hope for is some deep silver, this thing rocks.
@@MentalMetal I should add that you can also notch in nickels (I use 61-63), but I'm generally not all that interested in them in the sorts of sites that I'd use Silver Bullet in. But then you'll also be getting ring pulls, etc. so I generally just ignore the nickels. They're probably Jeffersons anyway in the places where I'd be using this program.
Thanks for info, do you mind if I do a video and share your settings and give you all the credit? I'll do the comparison and put it next to my coin program. I didn't get a chance to plug it in over the weekend but will this week. Thanks again!

Yeah I've thinking the same and maybe adding some sand for beach targets.

Would your coin program and the Deep HC program work for European soil/coins, please?
It should but you will probably have to adjust the tone breaks a bit.
@@MentalMetal Thank you, I don't know how to set them but I'll look into it
This video will walk you through it. ua-cam.com/video/1bK9CMp_WXE/v-deo.html
I can’t figure out how to turn off notch. All I can get is 00-00. Unless that is considered off? But I’m also still on the 6 install
You may need to go up to .71, I don't have 6 so I can't confirm.
@@MentalMetal wasn’t sure if I wanted to go to that update. Don’t know which is better and I hear mixed reviews on the 7 versus 6

Lately I've been using pitch
What size coil are you using? Thx!
11 inch
If I may ask, which stock program did you start with before saving it to your DHCMM custom program?
Deep High Conductor DHC
Did you change the audio to Square or leave it at PWM ( the default for Deep HC )?
I've tried it both ways but I think I prefer PWM

Hi, may I ask how high the G.ID is on average in your test garden?
84-87 on most days
