Wonderful!! Thanks for sharing. I own a 16 down in Miami and can attest to the joy these little big boats can bestow. Good things to you and yours. Please upload more when you can. Thanks!

What a beautiful family my friend you must be very proud.
I especially like your post as compacts are made right up the road in Clearwater.
    We ca them pocket cruisers.
I also kniw they make them in an 18 23 and I'm not sure but i think a 26

Thanks for watching, Dave. Probably my favorite week out of every year. I would love to go see the Hutchins facility some day. She’s definitely in the pocket cruiser class. Old boat (1976) but a great one.

Question for you, Rum Runner ii: could you do a video showing step-by-step how you reef and un-reef using the rotating boom? It'd be quite helpful to see your sequence since we have nearly the same set-up w/ our Com-Pac 16. Keep the videos up.

Thanks for watching. I have a video of just that on the Compac 16 Facebook group page. Let me dig it up and post as a short.

Here you go. Resolution is a little poor because I had to pull it off of Facebook

@@SailingrumrunnerII , thanks, it looks like your main halyard setup helps make it a simple process.

@@paulnelson1576 yeah the swivel cleat makes it easier to tighten the halyard when rolling or unrolling

@@paulnelson1576it is worth talking to a sail maker about adding jiffy reef points to a sail. I have roller reefing on an older boat and switched. Riveting the hardware on the boom was straightforward. Reefing is now quick and easy. Especially single handed.

Im all aboutnthe cabin illumination. Just downsized from hunter 22 to sanibel 18. I use a steingnsimilar to your mast post, but wonder if led battery steips light be fun. They change colors too.

It’s a great addition for any evening hang outs on the boat for sure

Fellow trailer sailor here.... curious where you parked your vehicle and trailer while you were on the lake.
That always seems to be an issue for me when trailer sailing to new destinations

This lake is a place we rent a vacation home for a week most summers. So I just keep it at the rental house. I haven’t done a lot of true trailer sailing destinations but the places I have, I usually have to pay a small fee to keep the car and trailer in a marina lot.
