We were regulars when we lived in Chicago. Have made is back a few times since we moved to Texas!
This place is my favorite place in the world
Door County always has fun things to do. I feel so fortunate to be an artist here!
You done Door County and Wisconsin proud...👍👍🙂 I would add one more HUGE thing though...all the orchards with their delicious foods and free samples.
This place looks stunning!! Really great guide here guys. Very informative and beautiful footage to go with it.
Dont miss the fish boil. Get there early enough to watch the cooking.
I live up there and this really captured how beautiful it is up there☺️
Perfect video. Thank you 😍
Awesome and insightful vid. Str8 to the point and still NOT boring!
We were just up last week for a day trip, a couple nice meals, bought some apples and wine, rode the "twisty road" to Northpoint (always a must) saw some beautiful fall colors and came home that night. People think we're crazy but I don't mind the drive, we enjoy it.
Fall is great in Door County! We spent a few days in fall this year too!
The Fall colors are always great!
Wow... Those cherry blossom are so beautiful!!
Yes, they sure are! The blossoms have turned to ripe cherries by this time in the season and they'll be made into wine by the fall! Make sure to visit door County next spring if you want to see them in bloom!
Awesome video. We were in Door County earlier this summer and loved it too.
Well done... glad you didn't stop the list at 10!
Thank you so much for the very informative video. I'm visiting Door County next week and am taking notes!

Stavkirke - Washington Island
While in door county visit the cbr race track in baileys harbor
Man I live there, winter gets a bit boring. I pass the segway tour almost everytime I go biking. I'd say the zipline tour is a bit boring though compared to real ones
Al Johnson’s slaps
For sure!
always wanted to visit WI... it's so gorgeous
Wisconsin has more to offer than most people think and Door County is one of the top spots in the state!
We are originally from Michigan and I love love love Lake Michigan
I'm from Wisconsin and I can tell you that this state is hideous. It's mostly farmland and it's an eyesore while driving in the country. The only actual gorgeous places here are Port Washington, La Crosse, Devils Lake, and Door Country.
@@TravelingSammi - There are also many beautiful places in the Northwood region, full of tall trees and thousands of small lakes.
@@pete1853 ill have to look it up. thanks for the tips
What is the name of that winding road?
HWY 42 east of Gills Rock, WI
Your not gonna advertise our cherry orchard here? Orchard country in door county. We own it.
Wait nvm you did! Tysm!😁
What do you recommend to do if your significant other is in a wheelchair?
They do have a lighthouse with an accessible ramp to the top (seriously). I can't recall which one but it has a long wooden ramp through the trees to the top. They would probably like visiting that one.
Any dangerous animals at these locations?
Mostly no. Black bears probably live in door county, but that's about it, and you are unlikely too see one.
Packs of wild dogs control most of the lighthouses.
Bears are very, very, very rare. Surprising a skunk is about the most dangerous animal encounter you might have. Oh, and don't pet the porcupines.
The only thing I saw was adorable tiny frogs
The Locals.
Disappointed there’s nothing about Wilson’s
If only you new about the dark side.
Whaaaat?
I used love Door County back in the late 80 to the early 90's. Sorry since then it has become a tourist trap for the state south of us. I haven't been there since then. There are more plates that say Illinois than Wisconsin. I don't know if the water quality has gotten better, but back then I did see it worse. Just like the Dells, another part of our beautiful state went to tourism. I really hate to say this, but Wisconsin has become the get away state for it's neighbors. I still love it here, but when I see more out of state plates, I feel like i'm the tourist !
The water is amazingly clear, several years ago zebra muscles really cleaned up the water
You're welcome for my south of you money I brought to your cheese state. Lol jkjk
get over it. It pays your taxes.
I've got news for you. Everything was better when you were a kid. It's called nostalgia.
I was born in 1960 and used to go up there every year. I am actually named after someone from up there and he still lives in the area. It has great memories and yes it has changed but still love it. Been going up the last few years and just recently bought some land in Sister Bay and will build a nice little place in a few years.
