Congrats Steve- another nice win. Your daughter is doing a wonderful job with the editing and production, you guys make a great family team. All the best.
Wish I could've got out there to see you race in person! Looked like a blast. Great shots you guys got over the show! MAN was that place PACKED! Tail wheel casualty ain't so bad in the scheme of things. Nice fix to get her home! Great stuff, Steve - thanks for sharing, and congrats on the WIN! 👍😎
Fantastic video - sorry to hear about the tailwheel. I love videos like this, as they can be very educational - as a newbie airplane builder, I would never have considered the weakening of the spring being drilled vertically versus horizontally. Good tip I'll need to remember! (AND I learned the proper way to spell "tomrorow" - hehe)
So funny seeing Cory and Jon sitting in the last row giggling during Pilot briefing 😂 Bet they make a good party team. Nice Vid Sir. Thanks for sharing.
Greeting from Brazil Steve, it's really cool that you cuted you rudder to prevent damage in competition, really cool to see that you fixed you landing gear in a such nature way. Really love your airplane
Great job on the win! 🏆 Thanks for the rudder tip and it was good chatting with you about the highlander and options. I’m looking forward to doing business in the near future.
That is soooo awesome, thank you very much for this video... Enjoyed it all... I honestly never knew there was something like this, and I love it... AGAIN... thank you.
Steve Henry ... ALWAYS Modifying ... ALWAYS Pushing the Envelope....I'd give anything to be able to go up for a flight with him in his YeeHaw special... Great Job Mr. Henry !!!
Love it. With the tail cut down I would be a bit wary of spins, especially with CG towards the back of the range. May way to make the rudder longer to keep the rudder area the same....just thinking outloud.
Learned my lesson. Didn't bob the rudder on my Highlander, broke my tailwheel and shortened my rudder the hard way, using the runway. Shortened it and a recover, all good.
Whew! My Jim P tailwheel is drilled as recommended and the rudder has the up cut. My Highlander will be there next year. Now back to work, getting the fabric on. Jeez it's a lot of work not using Oratex. Thanks for selling me a Highlander kit Steve.
Mike says in another video scrappy really isn’t a stol plane , too heavy and needs more power , there are issues with the nitrous injection needs fine tuning to work properly
what happened to your competition Jaden Newman? guess you can fold up your plane and safely put it in your trailer to shelter from coming storm, hope nothing happens to anyone there, good luck
Thank you for sharing Steve. You and your family are a class act. ❤️🔥😎 Love watching you perform. ❤️👍😎
Thank you!
You are great fun to watch compete. You work hard and you have a down to earth, humble attitude about that makes it easy to pull for you. Thank you.

Gotta love being able to fly on the edge behing the power curve!! I love it!! Keep it up!!
I love hearing the turbo spool up when your coming in to land.

Mr. Henry - keep raising that bar Sir - inspiring!
Awesome congratulations on the win! Great tip on the the rudder trimming!
I like how the tail wheel was no big deal. That shows your good character.
Yes very casual about the broken tail wheel a very humble man, great pilot
Shows money
Hello, Where does this competition take place? Thank you
Congratulations! you are well prepared always!
Nice job on the win! I've seen so many of your videos, I need to just stop by and say hi. I fly out of keul
Love it. With the tail cut down I would be a bit wary of spins, especially with CG towards the back of the range. May way to make the rudder longer to keep the rudder area the same....just thinking outloud.
That thing is a beast!! Well the pilot is too but that's another story 😁
Excellent camera work and content/editing. The Announcer sounded familiar... Thanks!
Thank you! You're welcome. :)
Does the landing count if you shed parts?
Once you can walk away it's a good landing.
If you can reuse the aircraft it's a great landing.
Awesome job! @1:48 is why I didn't go this year, just packing them in there like sardines
We are really hoping to get more spectator space!
Learned my lesson. Didn't bob the rudder on my Highlander, broke my tailwheel and shortened my rudder the hard way, using the runway. Shortened it and a recover, all good.
Now there's you dinner. Well done..!

Wade you are so welcome! I’m sure you will really enjoy the experience of flying the airplane you built to OSH!
Congratulations Steve
Thank you!
Oooh...good share on the tail rudder shape.
Hey Steve, congrats to you, Jason, and Hal.
Thanks Wally, I miss seeing you at these events!
@@SteveHenry Yeah, I miss hanging with you and the boys. Hope to see you soon my friend.
Awesome plane.
Great skill.
Thank you!
Excellent video.
Well done man!!!
Congrats! ☮️ Wheelchair John in Idaho 😎
Nice work, did Mike Patey Scrappy not qualify?
Mike says in another video scrappy really isn’t a stol plane , too heavy and needs more power , there are issues with the nitrous injection needs fine tuning to work properly
@@evildogbilly rodger that thanks!
Is that dans hole in the corn?
Have fun , nice plane .
Hi Steve,
can't find your email address, so congratulations here. Was that the yamaha engine I was hearing.
Where is scrappy?? Back to work somewhere.
Hope all went well with the storm
Yea Steve Henry 👨🏻✈️!!!
And am pretty sure Mike has a welder and a CNC machine on Scrappy! Sorry bout your luck sir!
It looks like a skid would work better than a tail wheel and save a bunch of weight.
Hal Stockman style!
Keep it up Steve 😁👍
We will! Thank you
Those engines sound like those little model aircrafts'.
Yeah they rip!
what happened to your competition Jaden Newman? guess you can fold up your plane and safely put it in your trailer to shelter from coming storm, hope nothing happens to anyone there, good luck
I'm no gambler, but I definitely would have put all my money on yeehaw
All my money on yeehaw !!!
No prob buddy
So nice to hear a ‘quiet’ American who just goes about getting the job done. 😀🌞 Unlike some others on UTube. 🥶
Where is Scrappy 🤷🏿♂️
No headwind made a handicap for all
Mike Patey quote, “ Break it”. You mentioned another tail wheel on a rock in Idaho.
👏👏👏🇹🇷
" so cool"
just kidding nice video
I would put money on the fact that the true First Place did not compete. I doubt if any plane will beat Mike Patey's SCRAPPY.
TOMORROW not tomrorow But that's OK
Oh nooo!!!!! 😰😰 I would take it down and re-do but it took 5 hours to upload here at Oshkosh with poor data
If you break something, you should be penalized. Yeah, you let it down too hard.
