I traveled executive class this fall. If the trip is longer you get food. We got sandwiches from Firenze to Milano. Also I believe the price for the salotto is for the whole salotto. If you reserve its for you and your guests. No one can book a seat in it.
Never ridden Italo unfortunately. I only ever ride regional trains (regionale) and those are also good. With that said, I did once ride a a Freccciarossa back in 2008 from Florence to Rome!
Regional trains definitely have their charm, don't they? It's a more local and authentic experience. And a ride on the Frecciarossa from Florence to Rome in 2008 sounds like a journey down memory lane! How was the trip, and do you have any standout memories from that ride?
First like and first comment . i booked trenitalia from PADOA to ROME for next week, Checked the Italo too but did not find much fare difference . So Frecciarossa. Are you in Rome anyway next week ? 17 to 19 i am visiting Rome
Good eye! Some of the executive class compartments do have a mesh for privacy and bright sun which can slightly obscure the view. It's worth considering if the scenery is a priority for you. Most you can roll up, and get a clear view. Thanks for bringing that up! 🚄👀
Thanks, Gregor, that was really interesting. I don't think I have ever seen a train compartment quite like that, and I was surprised that you could get the whole room to yourself for the price of one ticket. The ticket price was not that bad compared to the basic economy ticket and, like you say, why not do it when you want a special experience or the VIP treatment. 😆 I am getting concerned about your level of junk food consumption, though. 🤣🤣🤣
This is not quite accurate. Others can book that train car with you. We traveled with our special-needs daughter. There were three of us, however, unbeknownst to us a complete stranger booked the 4th seat, and was in that car with us! It was awful. He fell asleep and snored, extremely loud, never again!!
That sounds like a challenging experience. Sorry about that. 🚄💤 I was able to book the entire space. So I will need to clarify that policy, not sure why it was different for you.
@@GregorBrownhow did you buy the Salotto ticket for yourself? Did you just buy one seat or did you buy 4 seats and put names of other people? Thinking about getting the Salotto for an upcoming trip since the cost is a lot cheaper then trenitalia!
@alicewoo2380 I don't remember it on the website, but if you have time and you're in Italy, pass the train station and do it directly there. And also I do recommend trenitalia because, overall, it's a better experience and quality
Wow. Trenitalia's EXECUTIVE CLASS!!! ua-cam.com/video/S8LDdegSW7E/v-deo.html
Cool train!
Dude, just ran across this video and I’m really digging it. On my way to Italy in a few days and already booked my Italo tickets. Great videos!!!
Dope!!!! ❤🎉
Bravo Gregor
This video needs to be broadcasted in Times Square so Americans can understand why we need this.
Haha, that would be quite the showcase! 🚄🌟 It’s incredible what high-quality train service can do. Thanks for the huge compliment!
@@GregorBrown Well-deserved. That's the only high speed rail network I have never visited. Now I have to make the trip.
Super Travel Video
Many thanks!

No, I will be up in Florence, THANKS FOR BEING The FIRST!!!
Unless I miss it, do they have internet on this train? My favorites series. I want to return to Italy to visit again in the future.
It's hit and miss, don't count on it.
I saw on another video Frecciarossa has a mesh covering the windows in executive class, making the view obscured. Is that something to expect?

I saw that too so I am booking this lounge italo club right now! ❤

Yes it's cool having a little private room but I prefer the other train when traveling in Italy and this Sunday I'll release a drink comparison video

Frecciarossa 500 business is much better 😅
Agree. See my comparison vid.
