Hey guys here is my Fatshark Scout vs Eachine Ev800d Review. I was quite surprised during this Box Goggles side by side DVR comparison and which ones were the best fpv goggles for beginners . I had heard that the Fatshark Scout FPV goggles didn't have as good reception as the Eachine Ev800d box goggles. So I wanted to really do a comparison and see what results I could come up with. Hi guys! I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my new FatShark Scout goggles were slightly better than my Eachine Ev800d goggles. And they should be...they are double the price! But that being said the Eachines are still VERY good for the money and the best economical FPV goggle currently on the market. 👍

Super nice comparison! I loved seeing them side by side, excellent. You’re getting to be quite the pilot. Loved seeing the TP stickers on the desk🤣 I just order a Betafpv 85mm for half price on Amazon, can’t wait. I’m still on the sim right now. Great video🤩
Thanks brother! 👊😃 I think you made a great choice and at half the price you can't lose. I like the fact that you can use a battery strap instead of just sliding the batteries in like on the mobula. I like that it has an xt30 connector. The only thing I don't like is that the camera position is fixed but you will want it just up a bit from level at the start anyways. And it comes with a second mount so you can have it angled up more when you get better and want to fly faster. Grab a spare frame if you can. Also what radio and goggles did you get? Is this a bind and fly?

Yeah the video is kinda crap with analog. I have a few VTX's coming and a few better cameras to try out so we will see how that goes. Eventually I will go digital. Maybe in a few years. Practice on the simulator is the way to get good....and just fly as much as possible outside. I need more practice too.😃

Yeah I had these 800d's from a few years ago when I got my GPS drone the FIMI A3. So I was like...cool I already have goggles. But the 2s battery from sitting(probably not balanced and in storage charge) would literally only give me 30 minutes of flight time. So I looked around and saw the scouts. I liked a lot of things about them like size, remavable battery, brand name...lol, and performance was supposed to be good. Then after buying them I continued to use my 800d's because I wanted to get some use out of them. Then I noticed some bad reviews on the Scouts saying range isn't good. But I was happy to see they work really well yesterday.

I was a little rusty on this flight though..my first flight in a few days. I'm trying to build up my skill a bit so I can fly my Chimera4 . 😃 I appreciate you watching brother. Looks like my channel is going to be more drone related. Somehow it's easier for me to fly than to get out and do speed runs with my cars. I still like the cars though.

@@lockingpaul Yeah looking forward to flying the Chimera for sure. I bought a TBS Tango 2 for it. I just doubt my Scouts will be up to much long range flights...lol. I will see how it does though. As for the sim yeah I have been flying on it like every second day. I'm flying outside maybe 3 times a week for maybe 6 packs each time. Flying mostly whoops. I have a geelang Anger 4s whoop drone I need to get out for a flight as well. I went crazy and bought a whole whack of drones once I realized I like FPV...lol. I wish we didn't have the 250g rule I would like to fly some bigger ones but for where I fly 3 inch is about perfect anyways.
I hear ya! Did you get your basic pilot yet?? Ten bucks might cost thirty tops cuz of fails and stupid wording but ya! I just register my stuff for now mother ten bucks! But ya I’m getting one more big bird until everything comes into effect. You hear about the lawsuit for the new rules on Bardwell a chan? Might wanna have a look and there’s another dude that’s a lawyer who has some info on new shit. But ya they are starting to make some great birds under 250g now more manufacturers trying to hit that mark! But it won’t compare to a five inches or larger the power the ouch the maneuverability. That’s why I gotta get one. But ya if you already know don’t bother but ya the lawsuit
@@lockingpaul No basic pilot yet. I'm not sure I want to get it because the sub 250g drones are keeping me occupied and with a LR Flywoo or Chimera4 I think I'm good. Even if they go smaller in the future I will just fly toothpick drones. I will just become like Nick Burns on UA-cam trying to get super fast. I would like to fly my Fimi A3 but can't do that legally so it sits now. I'm keeping it as a rescue bird if I get really desperate and land on a huge tree....lol. I heard the licence is really hard?

The family is monopolizing my time, which isn't a bad thing. I still have the need for speed though...hopefully 150 soon.

@@WaynePeeples You will love FPV Wayne. Just don't let the crappy looking analog videos give you a bad impression. Once you strap the googles on it looks a little better. The DVR's in the goggles don't record totally what it looks like and when you are "inside" the quad flying around it really is quite trippy...lol. Like you can fly.

Yeah for sure. For what you pay the 800d is the best entry level goggle you can get. The eye relief is slightly better on the Scouts. But all in all I can't complain about the Eachine goggles.
I own a set of Fatshark HD3s and a set of Fatshark Scouts. I love the Scout, I like it better than the HD3.
Yeah they are an awesome goggle. I wish you could add a module to it like a rapidfire. But they are great for what I do.
@@KaizerTest Might be little late, but you infact can! I saw someone use the AUX port with an adapter from AUX to pins. Search it up on UA-cam, it's somewhere here.
My lad uses the 800d. I had the transformer goggles just grabbed a pair of HD3 now. TBH them scouts should be ok for ages 👍 somehow fatshark is ok for my poor eyes 👀
The HD3 look awesome. Did you get a rapidfire module for it too? I think my next goggles will be digital but I'm going to wait awhile.
@@KaizerTest unfortunately due to chip issues and manufacturing problems because of that I was not wanting to wait weeks or months so went for a AKK for $45. I like the AKK works good for me, I may pick up a true D maybe as I get better and fly harder places

scouts are only 170 now days. I was told the scouts are not a worth while upgrade over the betafpv vr02. After seeing this video I think this must be wrong!
I never tried the betafpv but the scouts work well for me.

Hey, sorry I missed this. The Eachines don't suck really. They are probably the best cheapest box goggles you can get. What quad and VTX do you have?
@@KaizerTest Moblite7 tinywhoop, not sure about VTX, its 25-200mW but many people complain about bad range. I recently had decent range (100m) after soldering antenna (13 - 14mm wire)
Other drone im using is geprc smart 35 analog with 600mW vtx. The range is better, I managed to fly around 500m in open space, but still gets bad when there are trees or anything between me and drone. Last time I lost vision at about 100m because of some bushes.
@@PinkeySuavo You should try Maarten Baert's Triple Feed Patch antenna, it has better penetration than the stock sting pad...
