He actually said the reason which is RR carries the 5 products he's introducing and said you can buy anywhere else if you prefer other goggles. The title is just misleading though.
Guys we know you're sponsored by DJI, and own fatshark, but please actually have humility and accept the recon, hdo2 and scout can all be trumped either for performance or for value by skyzone cobra lines, or skyzone 04x. The DJI already beats the hdo2 because for the same cost you can stick a rapid fire in and have digital and analogue
This video actually made me lose some repsect for rotor riot. Even if this isn't a huge advertisement it still lacks the variety of the fpv goggle market. Showing just one company doesn't create a realstic image for newcommers.

Nice Red Cat advert guys! Sadly I cannot recommend this video to anyone who is considering getting into FPV because it is simply a very biased take on FPV goggles and FatShark has some strong competition on the market which were not mentioned here for business purposes (Red Cat is the owner of RotorRiot and FatShark) and not because you kept the user's budget or experience as your priority. I think DJI is only keeping the RotorRiot sponsorship because they don't see FatShark as a competitor.
I can only get a good image with box goggles...I've tried 2 pairs of the other smaller goggles with no luck. I just bought the cobra x and I'm blown away with how great they are....awesome range and a really clear picture! Highly recommended if anyone else needs box goggles
I love the EV800D, but in fairness, he did say Fat Shark has better support, so... I mean... he's right about that. But I also think when you're spending $100ish or less on goggles, maybe support isn't nearly the concern it needs to be compared to spending $300 and up, too.

Sorry, I love all you Rotor Riot guys but... If the community saw Rotor riot as just a store then this would be totally fine. Rotor riot is SO MUCH more than that to all of us though. So many of us look up to and highly respect all the members of rotor riot as leaders and unbiased teachers in the FPV community, not sales people. I spent years watching Rotor Riot episodes and feeling like I was hanging out with some exciting and interesting friends rather than watching a video. The modern world is what it is and money drives much of it so I understand needing to put food on the table of course. It's the change over from the "hanging out with friends" feeling to a watching commercials sort of feeling that is most difficult. I've watched Rotor Riot since Flight Test introduced the original 4 members and announced that rotor riot was starting up. The original theme and intent of the show is gone and the heavy commercialization of the channel doesn't suit the name. If you were named something different it might be an easier shift over in your video styles. To me the name Rotor Riot implies the opposite of corporate sponsorship and commercialization. If only you could find a way to get back to going on adventures and ripping crazy new spots like in the old days? How did you pull off stuff like flying the Great Wall of China or Chernobyl before DJI or Red Cat sponsorship but nothing like that afterwards? Seriously, I wish Rotor Riot all the best, I just thought hearing it from a different perspective might help make getting so many negative comments a little more understandable.
So what do you guys recommend if a person only has one eye that works? I would need corrective lens (or ability to wear glasses) but my right eye is worthless and does nothing. Thanks

Really good video....but... no mention of head tracking. I have the Trinity and fits my Dom v1's...will it fit the Attitudes (the goggle that seems to be the one I need)
“OUR top 5”, “these are the goggles we sell”, “You can shop somewhere else” “these are not the only goggles out there”... I mean they cant say it any clearer that these are goggles they promote because they sell them and because they are good. Sure, they could have titled it “5 FPV goggles we sell, that are not bad- sometimes not the best, sometimes they are- explaining them to beginners”...would YOU have watched a video titled that?
Nothing wrong with this at all. Drew clearly states these are what we carry and support. Our top 5 is a poor choice for a title. If a new flyer takes this advice nothing bad will happen. If the new flyer sticks with rotor riot store then they will be supported. I remember ordering parts online when doing 12th scale racing. The owner looked at my radio and asked why I didn’t reach out to where I purchased it... point received. Rotor Riot does support “their “ customers. Nothing to see here if you are already in it. If not do your research and never forget or underestimate what repair and support is worth.
I'm here for the controversy, lol. But there isn't any, alleviated at 1:31 with: "...whatever your case is, these are the five goggles that we recommend _these are certainly not the only five FPV goggles available, and if you you wanna shop elsewhere go for it_ but these are the five goggles that we carry in our store That means that we can support it, stand behind it, and ensure that you have a good FPV experience" I dunno, sounds pretty clear to me. Before ole 'Drib even mentioned a brand name, he put that out there. *I wouldn't expect any other retailer to do differently, that is, to advertise products they don't even sell. What's the problem?*
Gonna be going back lol I already rock DJI with most my builds gonna pull out a old wizard and the old v3 sharks and mod the heck out of them keep on keeping on fellas
I love the small form factor of the fatshark digital googles, especially for use with the dji fpv drone (actually waiting for the dji fpv mini). My goal, to pack a small setup in my travel bag so there’s room for other things too. A small radio is needed too.

kool
Really good video....but... no mention of head tracking. I have the Trinity and fits my Dom v1's...will it fit the Attitudes (the goggle that seems to be the one I need)
Very cool to see Paul Hughes carbon face plate on the Rotor Riot store.
“OUR top 5”, “these are the goggles we sell”, “You can shop somewhere else” “these are not the only goggles out there”... I mean they cant say it any clearer that these are goggles they promote because they sell them and because they are good. Sure, they could have titled it “5 FPV goggles we sell, that are not bad- sometimes not the best, sometimes they are- explaining them to beginners”...would YOU have watched a video titled that?
also, all of these are good goggles and the customer service for both companies is amazing
What FPV googles doas frsky do? I can't connect DJI Osmo Action to anything different?
Nothing wrong with this at all. Drew clearly states these are what we carry and support. Our top 5 is a poor choice for a title.
If a new flyer takes this advice nothing bad will happen.
If the new flyer sticks with rotor riot store then they will be supported.
I remember ordering parts online when doing 12th scale racing. The owner looked at my radio and asked why I didn’t reach out to where I purchased it... point received.
Rotor Riot does support “their “ customers.
Nothing to see here if you are already in it. If not do your research and never forget or underestimate what repair and support is worth.
They actually changed the title. It originally said "the 5 best goggles". I think that is the main reason for the backlash.
I'm here for the controversy, lol. But there isn't any, alleviated at 1:31 with:
"...whatever your case is, these are the five goggles that we recommend _these are certainly not the only five FPV goggles available, and if you you wanna shop elsewhere go for it_ but these are the five goggles that we carry in our store That means that we can support it, stand behind it, and ensure that you have a good FPV experience"
I dunno, sounds pretty clear to me. Before ole 'Drib even mentioned a brand name, he put that out there.
*I wouldn't expect any other retailer to do differently, that is, to advertise products they don't even sell. What's the problem?*
I see what you did there redcat
Can a shark byte connect to a caddx unit? If so, what’s the module needed?
Gonna be going back lol I already rock DJI with most my builds gonna pull out a old wizard and the old v3 sharks and mod the heck out of them keep on keeping on fellas
..fat shark or DJI. I think there are other brands...
Shh they can't. Fatshark and dji will get mad at them
Skyzone, orca.... Some are even better than mentioned here
@@divingfalconfpv4602 lol
If you want a good beginner goggle get the skyzone cobra s or x lol
Fat Shark Attitude V6 is good to fly drones with analog but you can upgrade to use digital drones? Can someone help me?
Thank you, this video helped me decide to buy the skyzone 04x
Good video, but why only DJI and Fatshark... what about Orqa, Skyzone, Eachine etc.?
After almost 1 year I am still at option 1 😅 they are still working good enough for bandos , but not for great distances and thick trees 🤙
I love the small form factor of the fatshark digital googles, especially for use with the dji fpv drone (actually waiting for the dji fpv mini). My goal, to pack a small setup in my travel bag so there’s room for other things too. A small radio is needed too.
If you're looking for a small radio I would recommend the radiomaster zorro. It has served me very well.
Drew you look like a salesman with his display haha keep up the great channel.
They should have a banner saying " THIS IS AN ADVERTISEMENT, NOT A REVIEW"
This video is the definition of old vs new rotor riot coverage. This whole segment is heavy fat shark and DJI advertising (even tho I'm a DJI fpv pilot) , don't like the very , very narrow brand scope you're doin there.
Should be titled, “our top 5 fatshark/dji fpv goggles”
SKYZONE!!!....the best ))
The exact moment you see 2 old box goggles from fatshark in a video that says "5 best fpv goggles", you notice this is a sponsorship🤯
They shouldn't even be here in my opinion... Just get skyzone cobras if that's your type of goggle 😂
i have -8 per eye but hdo2 fokus ajustment are great i see an sharp video screen
why would you say the dji are only digital??? loads of people including me have the analog adapter for them. You could have at least mentioned that.
What about the ev800d, skyzone 02c, skyzones cobra and the skyzones 04?
I dont know about you guys but those would blow those fatsharks to bits... (except maybe the hdo2) but the rest for sure!...
Do i see some bias here?
No serious why did you not tell your viewers about the non-fatshark googles?
This is serious... some poor guy/girl is now spending much money on a pair of fatsharks when he/she could have mich more for the buck...
