This was awesome. I need to start... i have most of the basic things i just need the motivation. Watching your videos helps a lot. Because I enjoy your content amd its fun to hang out with you. Thanx for everything.
I totally Agree.. Lighting 💡is very important when filming! That was the hardest, but fun-est 😂 class when I was Cinematography school! Great video Peter! I really enjoy watching your content! Thank you 🙏🏽!!
Love your videos, Peter. As a photographer, I am not having any issues with my lighting but still, struggle to get my lights correct for my channel. Very helpful and will be pushing to improve.
Just got into videography, and always have issues with lighting. These certainly giving me a clearer idea or path of what to do or buy next. Thank you! :)
Great video Peter! For many starting out, budget lighting options are good to have! There are a bunch of cheap led lighting options available out there.
I appreciate this video. I am just a beginner, and thinking about the budget to accomplish the videos I want to create is important. Thank you very much.
Man, the last 2 days Ive spent on researching the solution for me in a home studio. Really you could save me those days, if you post that sooner! :) thanks
Thanks, Peter, I was about to buy some lighting equipment for my upcoming talking head type videos, and bammm you dropped this video. This will help me a lot in making the right choice.
That flashlight thing looked surprisingly good with the reflector! 😁 My first video light that I tried was a 30€ Ikea light dome with a really sketchy jerry-rig thing.
This video was real helpful for me as UA-cam creator. I’m looking to upgrade my lights gear . I just subscribe to your cool channel . I hope you have a great day
Thanks Peter! I've been setting up my lighting recently and have become really interested in it. I need to stop buying things for now though because my next investment will be in a macbook! :D
Peter! Love your videos and I have a recommendation. I see tons of videos talking about lights to buy but no one ever talks about good value/quality light stands or C-Stands or the differences. And which ones to buy to offset the load of a bigger light. No one else I've seen really talks about this stuff. I would love your opinion. Thanks man, keep doing your thing.
Also no one ever talks about brightness as in some lights come with up to 100 power on the dial and how different is that with output of the constant power of a SL 60W & a AD 200 let's say if u gonna use it at 40% and the SL at 70%...what is affected in shooting? 🤔 For my worry u get people explaining expensive lights but only because of wattage difference not brightness 🔆.!
I really love your work sir and i learn a lot from your video. I started doing videography that i learn from you thank you so much sir for this kind of videos.
@@PeterLindgren1 i started youtube channel that all i learn from you sir. I watched all your videos about how to make cinematic video and all i use is mobile camera. Thank you a lot sir for this kind of videos and still want to learn more from you sir.
At first thanx for sharing this valuable information with us. I have been looking a lighting setup with minimum requirements and you solve the problem. Sir i please tell me that can I get a professional video quality just like this video with Canon 1300d with the basic kit lense. Please please reply. I have been facing problems with this issue.
I totally agree with you Peter because as a beginner youtuber. But can i use bulbs which we use in our houses or are there any other options for reflectors. And could you give options for getting bokeh video on smartphones
Hi Peter, I think you should turn the key light a bit so you dont get the reflections in your glasses and then fill the shadows with a reflector on the right side of your face.
Thanks for the video. Doubting between forza 60 and forza 200. Maybe forza 200 too much power for my talking heads. Can you mount parabolic softbox 90cm onto the forza 60 with the bowen adapter?
Hi Peter, like the vid for low budget options, but looking for a lighting kit that has a stand, softbox, and rechargable facility, (all in one) for on location photo/video. I have been looking but is so confusing on what is what, they mostly don't give specs. There is led panels and compact blubs and the aputure/ godox/ manlite, options. I have a reasonable budget , so not a real cheapie, but a limit of 1500 usd. Can you please reply or do a vid for people looking for portable pro on location lighting kits? Cheers
Nice Video. Would you be able to provide a direct link to either the NANLITE 90 CM or 60 CM, when i click on the links in the description I currently just get a long list of items and can't find / tell which is the actual light. I'd ideally like to buy a package with the light, stand and umbrella attachment as well. Grateful for any direction you can give. thank you.
Wow, I’m super late seeing this, but seeing as I’m trying to find suitable lighting so I can record my face to put in my videos, this is very interesting and I might have to try this out for myself.
I've been thinking about this setup for years! Finally I see someone braver than me trying it! Great job!!
I was just talking about cheap lighting ideas with someone and then I opened UA-cam to see this. Good timing, Peter! Sending this off to them!
This was awesome. I need to start... i have most of the basic things i just need the motivation. Watching your videos helps a lot. Because I enjoy your content amd its fun to hang out with you. Thanx for everything.
Thanks Peter. I love on a budget videos. They really help get people creating out the gate.
Thank you Peter! This was the video I was looking for! Been searching like crazy for a decent explanation on light for video setups!

You inspire me every day for making better videos in a budget.. Last video took me 12h to edit 3 minutes of video. Big hug man
The 45 degree angle was a great tip!
Thanks to you, I can now use a single light in my videos, while the second one can light the scene behind me 👍👍
This has been my favorite channel so far
Thanks Peter! Loved your thoughts on the subject, it is not easy when you get started! :D

love the content! Peter question, how would you edit a video into super 8 quality? simple plug in or hardcore editing?
Hi Peter! Thanks again! Which aperture do you usually keep your camera at? Thanks!
Sweet! I just learn lighting mind blowing! Next videos all light off with a flash light and a bunce light
This is going to help a lot of people. This is the content dreamers need to achieve their dreams!
I hope so, you don't have to have the most expensive gear to make videos!

As a Focus Nordic Ambassador, I use Nanlite..hehe..But good video as always! Quality content! :)
But back in the day, I started with some cheap working lights from Clas Ohlson with a pillowcase in front of them..haha
Peter, you've got some good stuff man ! keep it going, and what would you do with a ring light and apurture mc light????
Thanks man!
If i had that you mean? In that case i'd use the ring light as a key light and the MC in the background!
