This appears to be a Yaesu ft-8900r in a new box. The firmware functionality and audio tones appears identical to the Yaesu. So does the LCD.
I wonder if Yaesu have started selling their legacy IP to Chinese companies? The Zastone zt-2r is another (and the first) example of a Yaesu exact clone. Bring it on I say. Cheap radios that finally have some quality!
I believe you could be right, interesting the fact its $200 less than the Yaesu :)
Is there a Crossband Repeater build in? For example i only hear a Papagei in a other Video that repeat the received Signal and transmit it later over a Storage.

The radio cross bands. Does it also same band repeat as well? Have you noticed any heat issues yet when used on high power. And also 10, 11, 12 meter am tx!??
Only time they get warm is when the SWR of an antenna is higher than 3:1 but that goes for most transceivers,
Yes I just got my one to do same band repeat, it will RX on AM but not TX on AM
Hello there I just got a tyt th-9800 its on the way from your website.I can not wait I wanted it so i can put it in my car and transmit on 450mhz to 480mhz they look like a really good radio.Do you use Skype at all.
They are really good Ross, you will be very impressed with its performance, I hope you enjoy it when it arrives with you, Thank you for your business Martyn, K4TEC
Hello there Martyn I love the radio it dose what I want it to do thank's again
Marty
Have you benched a few of these to see if they actually put out the power according to their specs and if their are any spurious emissions near band??.....Paul
Yes I have,, I am really happy with their performance, I have 2 I am using right now, cant fault them in any way :)
ok thanks for that
Can you tell me why some people are saying that the 10m/6m bands are disabled? I would like to buy one, but will not unless ALL bands actually work. Two people stated that their radios did not have these band in operation.
All the ones we here at Radio Mart.net have imported and sold have 11/10/6/2/70 bands enabled, I can only guess that some companies are not buying from the distributors in their area/country for what ever reason and maybe (for example England) have not allowed the bands to be included,, that is just a guess on my part but the ones we sell have true quad band coverage.

it would be interesting to know where your friends purchased them from?
Martyn Allison I think they bought them from a company called "buytwowayradios.com" I just didn't know if this phenomenon was specific to American customers regardless of where purchased from. But I am glad to here that your radios have all band enabled. Thanks so much for the quick reply.
No problem, I am here to help if I can, sorry to hear of your friends dilemma, best 73s K4TEC
