I sometimes wonder why I look at "proper" telly ... this stuff is streets ahead! You bring us beautifully presented, truly unique content, that is fascinating, whimsical and entertaining. Top notch.
Jonny's productions feel unpretentious, raw and minimally edited. TV productions are full of fluff and inauthenticity. Although not on TV now, I don't know how people watch the fabricated, fake scenes of shows like The Grand Tour, when they have challenges and races.
It's a car, use it as a car, not some princess.. My mate has a 76 Bentley, a bit rough, but his daily driver... My neighbours freeked out when I moved in.. and was taking stuff out of the back seat, and boot off a Bentley to move in... 🤪
This guy needs a museum not a basement! What a fabulous collection. Good to hear Andy Saunders name again. Not herard it in a while. I remember being blown away by his stuff in magazines in the 80s
Andy built some really great stuff, last time I saw his name his Mentley Insane?? was for sale. If anyone knows of a good doc on George Barris and his work, do tell. There''s a green microcar that Jonny missed out, near the French car, anyone know what it is?
Totally agree that these need to be viewed in a museum setting with all signs on the walls. I’d happily pay to see this collection. Used to own a Trojan way back when, drove into a parking space then would lift the back end in to park it as reverse gear was difficult to operate. Not a very safe car as the back end would tend to wobble like a rudder on a boat so constantly correcting the steering. Heating was a hazard as it took hot air off of the exhaust pipe.
Didn't think this would be one for me with the bubble cars, throughly enjoyed it. What a down to earth bloke, thank you to Gary for allowing it, thanks to Jonny &team for making it!
Thanks Jon. Yes, there's so much in this Cave, what with the Barris Kustoms, the '59 Cadillac and Eddie Kidd' s stunt bike. Eclectic was a word invented for Gary Hillman.
I could have watched at least another 2 Hours of this Car Cave. Just a brilliant collection of Fun stuff and Art all in one place. Thank God for people like Gary for owning this collection and letting us see his pride and joys. Thank you Jonny for filming this, because simply we wouldn't get to see this wonderful private collection without you. Best thing I've watched this past 7 Days. 👍🙂👍
Omg this unlocked a memory! I used to work on the U.K. storage hunters years ago, and we borrowed some Items from him for the show! Remember loads of these, incredible stash here!
I had a 1957 Heinkel bubble car late 70’s early 80’s great fun 96 miles to the gallon still managed to run out of juice regularly, biggest regret selling it but that’s what you do when your young and stupid, but great times all the same. Great video keep up the good work just subscribed.
Your innate respect for the folks you interview plus your passion and knowledge of their foibles gets you to places others cannot get too. Thanks so much for sharing an astounding eclectic collection. Cheers
I don't know what to say without reapeating my self, but, Holy hoard batman! What can you say about this stuff. The world has some truly wonderful people in it and you seem to find a new one every week Jonny. Brilliant stuff.
JUST. WOW!! MIND BLOWN. Best Car (quirky vehicles/collections) Cave yet for me and as described...it's a museum of long forgotten artifacts...only to be followed up with a '50's US Diner/Penthouse/Art Gallery!! Reckon this could have easily been a two hour show with the knowledge and details Gary has of his stuff. Absolutely awesome to be able to see such a personal collection. Thanks to you for taking us there and thanks to Gary for letting us in. Still in shock...!!
I am so grateful that Gary exists. He is doing important work. If stewardship was left to the general public most of these cars would have returned to dust. Jonny thanks for sharing your passion
Well, THIS was better than anything on the tele tonight! Thanks for the entertainment. And THANK YOU Gary, for being gracious enough to allow us to view your collection.
This is beyond awesome, and hats off to the guest for letting us in to the ultimate mancave - exactly what I'd do but dialled up to 11. Great to see, and goes to show Jonny's credibility in the scene. Would love to have a crack at the Peel's.
I'm speechless!! That's about as eclectic as eclectic gets!! Everybody has done stamps, coins, fridge magnets or keyrings, why not be a little different and collect bubble cars and pedal cars, brilliant. Nice guy as well.
good to see Andy Saunders' RunAground is in a safe place :) what an awesome machine :) i made a 3D model of RunAground as a GTA mod a few years ago, its one of my favourite cars too. I contacted Andy Saunders, as i couldn't find reference pics for my model, and he sent me some magazine cuttings from his collection, what an awesome guy :)
Thanks to Gary and Jonny for allowing us a glimpse of this simply unbelievable collection. The collection alone could fill a museum and a 10 part series of programs all by it self! Just when you think the Late brake show cannot get any better, Jonny brings us Gary’s collection! I look forward to many many more episodes, hats off to you both!
To coin an oft-heard phrase... "Oh my gosh...!" WHAT an incredible, eclectic mix of art-meets-automobile. As much as it's wonderful seeing past car-caves, full of hyper-expensive, lottery-winner-only cars, I'm inclined to say that THIS has been my absolute favourite episode, EVER...!! What a seemingly unassuming chap Gary is - but with a clear-as-day love of the unusual and likely forgotten. A stunning piece of video 'journalism', Jonny - thank you for being 'curious' on our behalf 💖
I love Gary’s passion for these unique pieces of automotive art and of course Jonny to see you like a kid a Lolly shop. This is the beauty of cars. Brings people together.
21:04 next to the supercars..you didnt mention the blue "Forshaga Shopper" made in Sweden, Norsjö Mekaniska Verkstads.. 1Hp! I had one when I was younger. Really, really fun to ride.😀
That was absolutely brilliant and literally a car cave. What a completely unique collection and just live it when Jonny is so excited he was in heaven.
You really have peaked with this. It is purely the ultimate collection for me, I can’t believe how similar my tastes are to Gary’s. From Barris to Saunders to choppers to bubble cars to Art Deco. Just everything is absolutely spot on. Probably too normal for his tastes but if he wants an acty in there or maybe for transporting pedal cars around send him my way. 👍
I did some work for Nick Mason 20 years ago and went to his office/garage down a back street near kings cross. He had numerous cars there including his Ferrari gt250 and his pink Floyd drum kits, but the thing that impressed me the most was the original three seater push bike from the Goodies!👍😁
What a wonderful treasure trove of fabulous machinery. I've always had a soft spot for the little Messerschmit bubble cars that look like someone sawed the cockpit fuselage section off an Me 109 and stuck some wheels on it, but Gary's Messerschmit in Evel Knevel colours really takes the biscuit. Brilliant!
Not sure I've seen Jonny's face light up with such shock and awe so many times in such quick succession and be stumped and ask what it is. What a great collection.
Great work as ever Jonny. Your channel has some of the most varied and interesting car related content on UA-cam. Big thanks to Gary and EBC for making it happen.
What an amazing collection I am so gutted I can’t see. Wish I could because it sounded amazing collection. I think I’ve heard him on another show with Drew Prichard antiques program
What a truly fantastic episode of the late brake show! I love the whole bubble car era, and wouldn’t it be great if we were all driving around in bubble cars now in our city’s and towns, rather than over sized super minis! I hung on to every word that was being said, so well done Jonny, cracking effort.
2 of the nicest blokes I've ever had the pleasure of corresponding with and both were behind the best Goodwood FOS's i've ever worked thanks to their wonderful cars! Great to see more of Gary's collection after hearing so much about it
Love this. Just such a glorious collection, so mad that he’s gone round so far that it makes sense again. Good also to know that a plinth’ll fit in an FF.
What a great presentation, Gary seems like a lovely bloke and just buys what he wants. Me and three mates bought a Trojan back on the 60s for £12 so it was nice to one in his collection. I later built a Morris minor "kids car" for my son, ( 30 years ago) which he still has. Thanks Jonny for another great video.
Sorry can we all stop and take appreciation to this absolute legend of a guy with a mind blowing collection! He has worked hard made some money and spent it on his passions! 🤌
What a fantastic video - love the fact it’s all tucked away in London somewhere. What a lucky chap - would love any of these cars - what an eclectic collection - fab :)
What a guy, love the collection. It's good to know there are people out there buying and preserving the wierd and wonderful stuff from automobile history.

I gave up on my television connection years ago.
I've not had a TV for more than 20 years!
To be honest, I don't know why anyone would.
Threw my TV in a skip 4 years ago, never looked back.
Bugger. I was just going to say all that 👍
Watching the FF nearly curb the wheel, whilst reversing in to the garage had me on edge.
That made me twitch too!, 😄.
And me !
it made my day to actually see it being used. you can repair curb rash
It's a car, use it as a car, not some princess..

I last watched a TV in 2008! Mind you am addicted to youtube now!
i love that the peel sticker is peeling off !
I love seeing someone with a bit of coin who still has an interest in cool stuff. Money doesn't buy taste. He has both.

What an amazing collection.
Cars treated with respect, and not rusting away in some rich pricks barn...
Collecting dust in some rich prick’s basement...
I don’t see the difference. The guy with cars in the barn enjoys them as much as this guy does.
Absotively chuffed! Reminds me of the loft of a friend in New York City, filled with antique photography equipment and other vintage memorabilia.
