  • The Painted Hall is at the 600 year old Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich London.
This stunning hall was built as a grand ceremonial dining room. It took James Thornhill 19 years to paint the elaborate ceiling of the Painted Hall. The main ceiling features William III and Mary II and the founders of the Royal Hospital. It is London's Sistine Chapel.
A unique way to experience the Painted Halls is taking a yoga class. On the last Friday of every month a 45 minute vinyasa flow class is held in the Painted Halls at 8am.
No previous experience is necessary and the class is open to all levels.
The class is conducted by Kindred Yoga.
Buy your tickets online at the Old Royal Naval College website.
After the class grab some breakfast at the Undercroft cafe and then stay around for a guided tour to learn more about the Painted Hall.
Then head to the Old Royal Naval College visitor's centre and take a tour to learn more about this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
See the gates where Anne Boelyn went to both her wedding and her death, the beautiful Chapel of St Peter and St Paul and even where the pensioners played their version of bowling
