Great tips, I’d only add: Both portals and transmuters can be built at your base not too long into the earlier part of the game (I think it’s around Astrolabe level). The only thing you really need to consider is how far you are away from Sasse and/or the Essence Trader (if you buy more than you craft). Also, hit up those towers in the Byway realms in the tutorial area (I think it’s the Swamp one) because you’ll be able to find an umbrella before even leaving the tutorial.

When you first start, In it's current state, you can buy 1 water for 10 essence dust and extract it for 40. This means that if you repeat that cycle, you can get thousands of essence dust within a couple minutes. Then buy all schematics, build a few crafting benches beside the trader and upgrade your gear, all in one spot.... rock on 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Break the fae chests in early realms for good mats. Later on the health of the chests goes up dramatically and it’s no longer worth the investment (for me).
