Might help to use the clutch on every gear change. Noticed you sometimes treat it like a semi auto. These engines last as long as you treat them right. Oil changes frequently and clutching properly.
Nothing do do with clutch ridden for years and never had a problem.
No-one uses clutch when shifting fast.
It was a selector pawl retaining washer, been fixed for ages now and still changing gear without clutch .
Novices use clutch once 3xperiqnced can change gear without clutch its about timing
Nobody uses a clutch shifting upwards.. Sport bikes and dirt bikes
@@motomachinezuk8786 Any other probs with the bike or are you enjoying it? Keep the videos coming please.
You are obviously a novice rider you’d be better off on a 110 or 65 before you hurt yourself
@@motomachinezuk8786 bro man is yappin sayin no clutch lmao bro if its manual u use clutch or u wreck it as u have done
Hi my one does that exact same clanking sound at 2:32 what’s that doing to the bike and is it a problem would help a lot for a reply but I did just wash it over and it’s started doing it 🙁
That was just starter motor they do that sometimes
Appreciated thanks
Hi I have just repaired my 190 with jumping gear box I spoke to you about it could not get replacement small selector arm so went back to wpb.after a lot of crap that sent me a washer that fit over original gearing which holds in arm ??? Only been out up and down garden in it but seem to be a lot better than it was ??? Time will tell cheers james.
I remember yes ive actually just got that part to try, just hope I've not damaged the shaft. Got that washer thing online. So you are confident with it ? Worked well ?
MOTO MACHINEZ UK not really fell out with wpb as it must be ongoing problem 😡to put a extra part on brand new engine think am black listed now a let you guys now how it holds up ? Cheers
My 190 was doing the same thing. WPB supplied the washer to go over the shift star. Problem solved so far. My other problem is the bike keeps snapping starter chains for no reason. You said the bike felt like it was holding back have you checked the tappet settings. Inlet 0.1 outlet 0.15.
Nothing worse than when your machines not working, eh? Drives me crazy as well. Good luck with it mate
My brother and I gave this bike many chances but in the end it just failed us. Very upsetting to think this was our first pit bike, feels very unsafe; can't pop wheelies as it falls out of gear almost every time, locks up and turns off at any time (unpredictable) in 1st 2nd or 3rd gear which has made me almost fall off my bike. I can't recommend this bike to anyone, very disappointing and to think we spend £2.2k for both of them. Should have bought a second hand Japanese dirt bike instead.
i took your advise and got my self a crf250x mate
@@ryancrf250guy8 you did the right thing trust me I wish I did the same!
@@TEKKYTWO id sell them and put some money towords another bike tbh mate
@@ryancrf250guy8 that's the plan hopefully. I was thinking of doing an engine swap but its not worth it. Rather just get rid of them.
Its been a massive let down, should have left it with 4 gears then no problems.
Did you change the oil after it was shipped? The oil that comes with it is shipping oil. You have to change it immediately upon delivery
Of course, chip fat oil was dropped first job. I do hear alot of people use that oil but its only good for preventing rust inside engine and they brim them so everything is covered in transit. 2nd vid on this bike was prepping for first start.
what happened on mine the gear selector went it's quite common on wpb
Was a common fault on these but they apparently have sorted it now.
Since I've put a retaining washer on selector it's been fine, simple fix really
Looking at getting the wpb 190 beast 2022 do you know if the problems have been ironed out guys ??
I hear they have but I'm not certain. It's an easy fix so I hope they have
Do u know much about the kurtz range of pit bike seen them about thanks ??
Will the thump star 190 have same problems
Well the new models have had the problem sorted apparently. Easy fix so they should correct it.
Hi bro just asking are stomp z3 140s fast and reliable ?
Hello mate would you know if the 2021 model has been updated with all these problems?
Evening mate, apparently they have but don't hold me to that, they say they have.

@@motomachinezuk8786 hello mate got the bike and set it up yesterday, haven't started it yet need to get engine oil today, just a quick question on the key ignition you can turn it to two different points? Whats the reason for that?
@@jordansands2094 hi pal, do you no if the 190 has been updated or is it still making these problems?
Had a similar problem with a zs 160, turned out to be eletrical! Literally just a wire hanging out of the cdi box and it ran great when I stuck it back in
You probably dont care at all but does anyone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account??
I somehow forgot the login password. I love any assistance you can give me.
@Enrique Charles instablaster =)
@Brysen Dash I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im trying it out atm.

@Enrique Charles you are welcome :)
Good bike but shame that one is a dud stick with the demon x that's a proper bike man
Just got a demon x xlr2 125 👌🏻 needs to strip it as 2nd gear is gone🤣 just the usual hahaha
Am giving them it back and see if get coin back as av only dun 4 hrs and the starter moter chain snapt ma gears are worn out and there a bad ratell fom it and keeps cuting out not good when only 4 hr ride on. Am going back to ma rmz 450
I had this problem by myself, argued a little with the Company and got an New engine and Now everything works very fine
I'm not great at complaining but I want to as wasted money. Going to try and fix again so I let them off silly me. Thats a good result for you glad its OK now 👌
i have a ssr125 and when i take off the chain locks up do you think it needs to be tightened
Not sure what you mean. Sounds like chain though might need some maintenance if it comes off.
What oil are you using? It should be non synthetic oil. If you’re using full synthetic oil that might be the problem
Can you just fit any old crf110 fairings onto these
These bikes are not designed for flat out riding for long periods, especially when the fuel is off ,there for short burst and gear changes.
so?
Would you recommend a stomp z3 160
Stomp z3 is a solid, tried and tested bike, definitely a decent bike
Y you not using your clutch
Love the channel learnt a lot and thank you so much you have just saved me £1200+ I was going to order one of these 4th of October thank you thank you thank you
I've been toying with the idea too, not now. No way.

Have you checked the gear lever is clearing the gearbox case when you click it up
Yes I had that problem first, not much room for it is there. I even checked it was not loose. I'm just hearing the same story from most owners, shame
I put a 212cc same variation 190. I took all the precautions lube starter chain and the shift star washer mod. Drove a half mile blew my head light out and taillight out. The gears ⚙ don't feel right im praying its a break in issue... not sure its getting cold here.... i have 2 young boys id drive them around with the 125. Just finished my own build a year ago 160cc with all the trick parts.
Hydraulic clutch and with
LM EXHAUST and TM 30mm flatslide carb. Change the oil every week ( i ride 5 times in a week ) its still goinn strong.

Very satisfying building own bike I bet 👌
Yeahhh cool lookin forward for that content🤘🏻😜
is the daytona better?
Yes way better engine and twice the price
Yes the daytona 190 is a 4 valve where the copy zs 190 is only a 2 valve
I am impressed when you consider that a Yamaha or Honda equivalent would cost up to 20 x more. I ♡ your bike. Some people in the world would be over the moon to own the bike. These Chinese bikes fitted with lights, horn and all necessary running gear for onroad use are ideal for many of these poor countries. I ♡ the Chinese.
20X??? I bought a 2014 crf 150 RBE back in 2014 for 4200 USD delivered. It is a bigger frame, and higher HP engine.
I am NOT literally speaking, and most likely talking in Australian currency buddy. USD buys very little AUD.
@@trentjackson4816 about a 35% difference in currency, but unless hondas are rare there, the conversion rate would be the same. Our cost to get a pit bike 190 would be simalar to your cost to acquire there. Unless the supply chain is screwed up
Similar in price adjusted for each of our cost difference I mean. So a pit bike at 1000 usd would be 1350 in aus, and a Honda at 4000 usd would be 5400
Interested to buy one of these you reckon after 2 years they will have sorted these issues? Love the content keep up the great work 👍🏽
Well some have been OK but I still hear of problem. Easy fix.
Cheers mate
That's a shame mate,i cant comment on the 190,but i love my 160...ive had to customise it as you know, they are not that good out of the box,but its flying now atm with the bigger 28mm carb. 👍
Got mine fitted with the 30mm flatslide. And if you tune it just right its got it flyinn
Thats what I mean wpb is fine for foundations just most other bits need replacing to firm them up. Bash guard was 3mm thinner than my demon x for example
@@motomachinezuk8786 Yeah ive went thru 2 bash gaurds already lol
@@RCTurbo79 lol exactly they are flimsy i have admittedly broke the front off on demon x but it won't bend like my 190 .
I’ve just baught 160cc version and it’s bogging a lot and second gear can be a hassle , any tips on what need replacing in this bike , I’m thinking knew carb and gearbox
I had same issue with transmission on my brand new PBS 190 after only 18 hours of riding. The problem is in the shifter star that is made out of wax and not correctly engaging the gears. Mine was only skipping second gear sometimes, but before I realized Im not shifting incorrectly and its in fact problem in the transmission, so much damage was done that whole gearbox had to be replaced. Not covered by warranty...so if you are thinking of this engine, think twice...
That gutting mate luckily I've managed to sort mine before I damaged gearbox but not good selling engines like this from factory. Hopefully fix will hold up with retaining washer on
I’ve got one of these and had it a while with no problems 😮
Where about is that field? And is it safe to ride there?
Its safe for me to ride yeh I got permission its near Cheltenham
Gearbox problems sounds like my Welsh 125 is flawless maybe it’s just the 190 is it 4 or 5 speed
Yes it's only on this 5 speed box that there was a problem. I sorted mine now and working fine for 15hrs. Apparently they fixed problem now from factory on newer models.
@@motomachinezuk8786 oh that’s good, do you know the actual fault that lead to the problem you had??
Are the stomp better the this ones? Or what is a decent dirt bike you recommend?
Stomp is better yes. Dirt bike or pit bike lots out there, depends on budget etc..
I was thinking about getting this bike but i dont know about it now i had problems with my 170 aswell but only to my thoaught i was looking at the thumpster dirty s could you give me some knolege about these type of bikes
I'm hearing good reviews very similar to demon x. I want to try 1 and good price at moment as newish back on the scene, bet price goes up for x mas.

Wanting to buy one of these pit bikes, anyone know if there still having the same problem in 2021?
Apparently not and very soon the thumpstar 190 will be available and looks quite good. Same bike different clothing

I think just less than £600 on its own. I paid £999.99 for whole bike
Im after a wpb 125cc. Would you recommend a different brand or do you know if wpb 125's are ok?
The 125 engines are fine mate its this newish 190 that had problems. Solid engine the 125
I’ve got the same bike got it in February rode it 2 times and was jumping gears called them up and got it booked to get fixed had to have all new gears as it was wrecked took 5 months to get the bike back haven’t been out on it since wish I never got the bike
Not good is it I wished they would refund me but or something but kinda useless now for me. Wasted my money also I think. Just need to open it up and have a look before I complain more
When I sent the bike back to be repaired I asked several times and all they kept doing was making excuses about how good the bike is and that I’ll be happy with it when I get back I’ve since been out and got another bike as I don’t even want to ride the 190
strip it and see whether is a bent selector fork or maybe needs shimmed
I've fitted a retaining washer on the frog I thinks it's called now and seems fixed
Hi mate is there a pit bike that you would recommend
Go to one of his more recent vids mate
And u could also have a look on pitbikedirect
Just though we'd ask, did you run the bike it as it's new? Plus you're changing gear without the chutch so that could be part of the problemo. Chinese bikes parts are mostly made from nickel, so you have to nurse them compared to a quality bike
Yes it was run in like normal but these new 5speed gearboxes had teething problems, I was 1 of first to get 1 so all the problems. Is,sorted now I used a retaining washer I got a vid of fix on channel if interested. 2nd attempt worked so far. I believe these gears might prefer a clutch but on all my others I've never had an issue, I agree not same quality but if done right and at right times it's ok. I feed it into gear.
Ah that's great that you have fixed it and is on vid. My mates have them, I went for the klx110 in the end 🤣 Keep it up dude

@Zokica18 can you give more details on the fix please
@@razzledazzle8948 i wish i could but i gave it to a mechanic and he fixed it for me. The shop sent the piece directly to the mechanic so idk what it is or how it works
The ZS engines are decent engines. I have the ZS160 and a problem I had with it is a snapped off 1st gear tooth. Happened once I replaced it and it happened again not even 2 months after the rebuild. I decided to just fish the metal tooth out the engine and just leave as is and use that first gear less. Still love the 160 no matter what problems it brings
Yes it's been fine since a retaining washer added onto gear selector arm. They sorted this problem now from factory.
160 is a decent little engine 👌
@motomachinezuk8786 would you recommend them now they have sorted it from factory
Try putting a washer over the shift star should fix the problem its cos the wheel is sliding off the star
That's what I've got to fit it next hopefully will work. Why does it come off the star?
Its just cos of the free play in the bolt lets it moves in or of the star sorry for the late reply didn't see your reply look forward to the vid on the 190cc 😊
add a big washer on top of the shiftstar so it cant jump out of gears anymore.... the older ones had itm the new ones not.... if not you will destroy the gearbox soon, every time it jumps out of gear it grinds the dogs of the gears a little bit.....
Maybe your star gear is dulled out or your shifter spring is shot or the gearbox could be assebled wrong/missing a washer somewhere just speculation tho
Lol i didnt see the next video suggestion sorry
No worries its been work and research on this thing and touch wood it seems fixed but I just want a few more hours before I say sorted if you get what I'm saying. Nightmare it was for a new hardly used bike

Gill4KO FN do u think the 140 would be better then or would it do the same
I would gladly take the bike off your hands. 🤣🤣 Like no joke I'm 100% serious.
Scrote
Water in the carb probably or wet air filter
Gear star jumping its a common fault that can easily be fixed now
One thing I noticed while watching your video is that you ain't using the clutch to change gear but changing it using the revs on the bike. No wander its playing up with you.. it's like changing gears in a car and not using the clutch it ain't going to last long
If the trans is not built well on a motorcycle it will act up like the one in the video. Because a motorcycle uses a sequential gearbox it's harmless to float gears. I do it all the time on my kawi and I put over 12k miles on it. What normally happens is the bushings and shift fork will deform if they use cheap materials.
No cluch won't do fuck all
@kytospillett8753 it's a constant mesh gearbox. If you don't use the clutch, you risk destroying the gear dogs and selector forks. Jumping out of gear is a sign the gear dogs are rounded or the selector forks aren't fully shifting the gears in.
Theres a fix for these now. Search up the gearbox issuie and you can buy a plate that stops the shifter from slipping.
Really that sound like what I might need for my 160 version bro could you help me out with a link would be more than appreciated

This was first generation of the 190 beast and it had this teething problem. I believe they sorted this issue soon after . If not its easy to fix. Just a retaining washer needed on the gear frog. Good bike for the money since I fixed. Its got over 60hrs on now with no other issues. Hope this helps
Whats a joke is they ask top dollar for their bikes, that only increases every year, yet every year like you said they get more and more minimalist, its a joke man! They used to be competetivly priced, decent bits of kit! They really are going down hill, i still hear people complaing, ive heard the daytona 190s are 1000x better though...? if it is brand new and you ride like that and you have not broken in the engine there is your problem or u not using your cluch
Wasn't brand new had to split engine for a 3rd time to fit a retaining washer that was missing from the frog selector. Factory fault
It probably jumps gears because you don't use clutch on the upshifts mate. My friend is on the second 190 Beast with no problems at all👌, while other people that upshift with no clutch got issues like yours.
I've never used a clutch up shifting on these bikes nor superbikes and been only on track flat out 24/7 never had this issue
@@MotorSportWallOfShame I have now a 2016 KTM 125 SX - RR (factory race ready) and even in it's manual states clearly that clutch has to be used when changing the gear up or down, and we're talking about an SX Race Ready bike. A low cost chinese pit bike won't last long shifting without a clutch. I know some people having this issue because they treat the manual gearbox like a semi-auto. If you've got a 110 pit bike, that won't have enough power to mess the gearbox up and there are a few semi-auto which is not the case with 190 beast or other MX bike. Something with a bit of power will eat through the gearbox if you keep doing that.
@@drift3rZUK of course its going to state it in the manual to cover all areas, I'm not saying what I'm doing is the correct thing to do but I use mine on tarmac and it's constantly up and down gears and I only use clutch to downshift, they have weak gearboxes from the start it's no secret, sometimes it's just bad luck, think I got a video of me riding mine on a go kart track on my page have a look 👍🏽
How much you want for it?
How fast that bike goes
Top speed run on the channel
Stick the smaller older gear box on it !! Probably to much torque for the box
Your not using the clutch

That's terrible, someone from wpb commented, kinda having a go I could tell about me dissing them. I hear so many problems from new owners. What's wrong with it then any ideas ?
That's why when it comes to 190s u want a ycf sp3 a thumpstar tsx/tsr I think it is and the pitster pro
Or a rxf
if u keep the fuel line on while riding this will happen with these chinese bikes so you need to turn it to off after u begin riding so it doesnt bog out

found the problem, it needs a Daytona 190 swap or the 208cc kit
Those engines cost more than this whole bike, would be good but if I have that kinda money for it I would go electric and that would be faster and something different. I'm going to try fix with a retaining washer ASAP just left it alone for a few weeks, annoyed me it has
I'd love to try fix the bike up !
I am going to try a solution just this vid got me right at wrong time I kinda was pissed, calmed down now and thinking more rashinaly, still might do a giveaway lol
You probably messed up the gear box not pulling the cluch in when changing gear
Never use clutch when shifting up gears fast. Its more strain on engine. Never have on any bike and no problems. Only time its used is when going slow.
Just put it on market place for swaps
Daytona Anima 190 4 Valve is Miles better quality control and power wise, plus made is Japan, Other than that just needs a platform with good suspension and wheelbase
true, but engine alone cost more than whole 190 today :P .
I just bought one of these, taking it out on its maiden voyage today. Wish I had watched this video before I bought it 😂😂😂
Hope you got a good 1 i have heard of 3 apparently all good. About 20 that have problems like mine.
Fingers crossed, good bike if OK. Keep me posted as I'm after owner feedback for real review and experiences if you don't mind please. Thanks good luck 👍
@@motomachinezuk8786 I'm just back from having it out, it went through all of the gears nicely I must say, very powerful for a pitbike. It would give my CR 125 a run for its money, I stalled it a couple of times but started straight away with the electric start. I had the WPB 160 which I think was a much more stable bike. Its only my first outing on it and the only real criticisms I have so far is that it's unstable, wants to kill you in first and second and stalls very easily in third if your revs are not high enough. I preferred the 160.
@@tommydahlqvist3472 yes I've not had this big frame before and it does feel a little unstable compared to my crf70 frame. It's big compared to it.
My bike worked OK for about 4 hours so be cautious, hopefully you got a good 1 as will be disappointing if not resolved problem on the new batch, they clearly knew it has problem.
Anyway cheers for letting me know bud
@@motomachinezuk8786 thanks for the heads up mate. I will keep you updated
